I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

”Hoo—”

The dust settled.

The entire underground city was filled with a pungent odor.

Gauss took a deep breath.

Threw a magic olive grown by Aaliyah into his mouth.

”Biological Positioning Skill-Goblin”

After scanning the area and confirming that there were no surviving goblins underground, Gauss sheathed his water sword.

The ground was already a river of blood.

Bodies lay scattered haphazardly, with severed hands, fingers, and eyeballs visible everywhere. If someone accidentally stumbled upon this place now, they might think they had wandered into some kind of purgatory.

Even the few dwarves didn’t look good.

As a biological instinct, they couldn’t help but feel nauseated by such a bloody scene.

On the way to Gauss’s side, they tried their best to avoid stepping on any indescribable body parts.

Then there was this group of humans, especially Gauss, who had killed the most goblins. His face was relaxed, as if he wasn’t a terrifying killer who had just slaughtered over a thousand goblins, but a retired old man who had trimmed plants in his garden during a leisurely afternoon.

Despite expending some physical strength, his clothes were slightly dirty, but his expression was very relaxed, even carrying a sense of accomplishment from hard work.

”Gulp—”

Bruno and his companions instinctively swallowed.

The adventurer they commissioned, Gauss, might be some kind of homicidal maniac.

He seemed more like a monster than the goblins.

Had they just come out of a wolf’s den, only to enter a tiger’s lair?

Fortunately, Gauss put away his weapon. After using magic tricks to clean his body several times, that terrifying aura calmed down significantly, and he seemed to revert back to being a model adventurer full of friendliness.

”Is it over?”

”Yes, dwarf friends, not a single goblin survived.” Gauss nodded.

He controlled a distant doppelganger to help dwarf Toga come out from a hidden chamber.

”Toga!”

”Bruno!”

”...”

Two dwarves who recognized each other embraced tightly.

After a brief moment of excitement, Toga noticed the outside had turned into a terrifying purgatory scene.

Evidently, in the short time she had hidden in the chamber after hearing explosions, this adventurer hired by Bruno had completed the purge of the entire goblin underground nest.

Such formidable strength...

Her gaze moved away from the heap of fragmented bodies not far away.

She remembered that goblin head, the leader that had captured her.

The once powerful enemy was now dismembered, scattered across the ground.

Her gaze turned to Gauss among the crowd.

From a single glance, she recognized him as the backbone of the team.

Was he the one who had talked to her earlier?

”Hello, I’m Toga. Thank you for rescuing me.” Toga said gratefully as she approached Gauss.

”You’re welcome. We weren’t here for charity; Bruno hired us.”

”Of course, of course, but still, thank you very much.”

”However, Ms. Toga, next time, don’t be hasty and separate from your companions in the wild.” Gauss reminded.

No matter the reason, abruptly leaving a team in the wild is a dangerous act.

If you are naturally a lone wolf, it’s acceptable, as they usually have rich experience in exploring alone and are cautious enough. But those who often work in teams tend to lack certain qualities.

Toga had an embarrassed smile.

She knew it was her impulsiveness that caused this trouble.

Though she had been beaten up and gone hungry for two days, without much damage, she realized it was pure luck this time.

Bruno quickly realized her accident and, lacking tracking skills, went to Farlim to commission help, where he happened to meet Gauss, who had the means to travel quickly and together with his powerful team, they eradicated the large goblin nest...

Any divergence in any link could lead to irreversible catastrophic consequences.

From this incident, she recognized that her temper needed curbing.

”Ahem...”

”Let’s head out first.” Gauss signaled them to move to the surface.

The smell in the underground nest was overwhelmingly unpleasant.

”How did you manage it?”

By the campfire, after wolfing down some food, Toga curiously asked.

She still couldn’t imagine how Gauss and his people cleared out a goblin nest so quickly.

”Are you perhaps an Extraordinary rank strongman?”

She thought and thought, and could only come to this conclusion.

In her opinion, as a 6th level warrior, it was impossible for her to achieve this feat. Even a stronger 8th, 9th, or 10th level warrior couldn’t manage it.

The only explanation was that the man in front of her was an Extraordinary rank strongman.

Starting from the extraordinary phase, which is level 11, a professional would undergo a drastic change.

The name ’extraordinary’ itself suggests transcending the mundane. Ahead of this line lies the mundane, beyond it is a transformation.

Reportedly, most professions after entering the Extraordinary phase would experience an increase in lifespan due to their life level reaching a new stage.

Gauss shook his head.

”Like you, I’m a 6th level professional.”

”Level 6!!?”

Toga widened her eyes, looking stunned.
