I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

The first Two-legged Flying Dragon, dead!

”Commander Level Demon Two-legged Flying Dragon killed *1”

Gauss successfully unlocked a new Commander Level monster species.

Cheers erupted from below.

To many soldiers, although this wasn’t a real Giant Dragon, this dragon-shaped killer was still terrifying, with a fierce appearance and swift speed.

But Gauss only needed two arrows to cleanly and decisively slay it.

This indeed was exhilarating.

He turned his gaze to the other two dragons nearby.

Hephaestus was dueling with one of them.

And the other one, the third dragon whose flesh was cut by his Thousand Threads Severance, was hovering in the sky.

Evidently, the death of its companion had left this Commander Level creature fearful.

”Boom!!!”

Elsewhere on the city wall, anti-aircraft crossbows began to fire.

Forcing it to dodge, raising its altitude to a disengagement distance.

This temporarily diverted Gauss’s attention from it.

His gaze was fixed on the entangled battle between Hephaestus and the other dragon.

At this moment, those previously fired arrows had already returned as a stream of water.

He rebuilt his bow and aimed.

Again releasing the Spell of [Water Manipulation] to condense into arrows.

His eyes remained fixed on the sky battle of the double dragons, without rushing to shoot the arrow.

Finally, after a moment of waiting.

Hephaestus finally created a shooting opportunity for him.

He bit the dragon’s neck, twisting his body to throw it to the side facing Gauss.

Taking advantage of the dragon’s struggle, Gauss drew his bow, full string, aimed, and released in one fluid motion.

”Boom!!”

A blue line tore through the night sky.

The highly compressed energy precisely hit the dragon’s abdomen.

”Sizzle!!”

The exploding Water Magic Power strangled the relatively weaker abdomen of the dragon.

Due to a similarly charged strike, its lethality was equally excellent.

The dragon’s abdomen exploded into a bloody large hole, and the blue magic power, like poison, continued to seep into the surrounding body, causing further damage.

Even Hephaestus was startled by Gauss’s charged strike.

However, Gauss controlled it well, severely injuring the dragon while avoiding Hephaestus’s location, with almost all the energy absorbed by the dragon in front. Moreover, compared to attacks like the Fireball Technique, the arrow induced by the bow of Methera in combination with Water Manipulation had even greater lethality and penetration against enemies, but its controllability and range were not as broad, so Hephaestus was not affected.

Hephaestus twisted its neck and flung the out-of-control Two-legged Flying Dragon into the monster pile gathered at the front of the city wall.

”Thud!!”

Its brute strength, combined with the Two-legged Flying Dragon’s size and the gravity of falling, surprisingly achieved good results.

The dragon plunged like a meteor into the monster pile, instantly crushing a dozen more monsters to death.

Gauss retrieved the arrow.

Aiming at the second dying dragon.

Quickly released a standard shot.

The arrow spanned the space, once again accurately hitting the dragon’s head, piercing through its brain.

”Commander Level Demon Two-legged Flying Dragon killed *1”

The second Two-legged Flying Dragon, too, instantly fell.

Gauss looked up at the sky.

As for the third Two-legged Flying Dragon, it had flown away without a trace.

It was unclear whether it fled due to fear, or was temporarily avoiding the sharpness, transitioning to other battlefields.

Gauss shook his head.

He temporarily ignored it.

The first batch of Elite Level monsters approaching the city walls, under the cover of Ordinary Monsters, had already reached the edge of the city wall.

Mainly led by ogres, they lifted goblins and Jackal-Wolf People, hurling them into the sky.

Rising to the highest point before falling, just beyond the low wall on the city wall, landing on the pathway.

”Wah Wah Wah!!!”

Close-quarter battles began.

Some ogre Mages started casting Levitation Skill, sending other Elite Level monsters who hadn’t mastered flying techniques into the sky.

Ladders with reinforced mechanisms were set up against the city walls, as monsters like ants surged towards the city walls under the suppression of their companions’ spells and arrows below.

”Whizz whizz whizz!”

The soldiers on the city wall continuously fired arrows.

Under the barrage of arrows, goblins climbing up were continuously shot down, falling and dying below.

Boiling, sticky, foul-smelling golden liquid poured from the iron cauldrons behind the wall’s battlements, pouring like waterfalls over the monsters climbing the ladders.

”Oww ah!!”

Inhuman screams exploded instantly.

The skin and muscle of the monsters doused by the golden liquid steamed and blistered visibly, rapidly festering. The heat and toxicity caused them to lose grip, screaming as they fell from the ladder, knocking down more companions below.

Inside the special towers.

The army Mages began to coordinate.

The 1st Ring Greasy Skill, combined with the 1st Ring Burning Hand or the 0th Ring Flaming Arrow, could temporarily create a firewall.

These magical flames were more difficult to extinguish than ordinary flames, and could only be suppressed by monster Mages using Freezing Ray, Cold Touch, Fire Extinguishing Spell, or other water or cold magic, or using Leap Skill to jump over the firewall, then taking a few large steps onto the wall.

The city wall could block the masses of lower-tier monsters, but Elite Level Demons had more means to climb the wall.

Various Adventurers were fighting in teams against the monsters climbing the walls.

Flying in the air, Gauss glanced over, taking in the battlefield situation.

Human soldiers and Adventurers clashed violently with the monsters on every inch of the battlement, blood soaking the bricks, death occurring every moment.
