I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

The goblin’s cloudy eyeballs flickered with a trace of unwillingness, but in the end, it fell hatefully on this primitive land.

A pair of crimson wings swept across the sky, swiftly heading towards the distance, never once descending.

On the dragon’s back, Gauss glanced at the goblin tribe annihilated below and showed no intention of stopping.

He had already confirmed using the Biological Positioning Skill that there were no living goblins nearby.

As for those scraps of iron, wooden sticks, and wooden spears in their hands, Gauss’s squad now looked down on them.

Collecting them wouldn’t fetch much money either, it was just a waste of time.

”There are more goblins than imagined.”

Ever since mastering the Biological Positioning Skill, Gauss discovered that the number of goblins in this wilderness was more than he previously thought.

Especially in this wild area without villages or shops, dig casually, and you might just unearth a goblin skeleton from the ground.

In the woods, caves, and desolate manor ruins.

Under the scan of Gauss’s ”radar-like” Biological Positioning Skill, they appeared as red, blinking dots that were very conspicuous.

”However, it should be related to the war a while ago.”

Gauss thought of the war that erupted not long ago, during the early stages, those monster armies would disperse the ”wild” unorganized monsters into the Human Kingdom.

And after the war, the disbanded monster armies might have lost their way, heading towards the interior.

Monsters only live in the southern Demon Kingdom. There is no soil for monsters to survive in the Human Kingdom, especially inland, which is a serious misconception.

In fact, monsters are everywhere.

Human villages, towns, cities can only govern the surrounding land, but the vast, power and order unreachable blank areas between villages and towns are breeding grounds for monsters.

But the monsters that inhabit the human territories are often scattered and small-scale, generally unable to produce particularly powerful individuals, thus unable to form large-scale armies.

Almost a week has passed, and Gauss and others are clearing monsters while heading towards Farlim.

Gauss looked at the map in his mind, corresponding to the parchment map in his hand, just as he was wondering how far away Farlim was.

On the horizon ahead, a white silhouette as large as a giant beast crawling was already vividly visible.

”What is that?”

Aaliyah also noticed the view that appeared on the horizon.

”Farlim is approaching.”

”Prepare to land.”

Although still quite some distance away from that magnificent city, Gauss already felt a powerful forbidden aerial force.

He had once briefly sensed a similar aura over the monster legions’ central tent outside Gray Rock Town, but the force over Farlim was thousands of times stronger.

However, his eyes slightly narrowed.

He noticed tiny black dots flying on the edge of the city’s sky, clearly suggesting that this massive city-level forbidden aerial magic array also had a whitelist, allowing eligible targets to fly above and around the city.

Being a newcomer, Gauss apparently wasn’t granted such permission and could only order the somewhat disgruntled Hephaestus to land and switch mounts.

”Let’s go.” After changing to a land bird, Gauss identified the direction and led the way towards Farlim.

The powerful forbidden aerial force shrouding Farlim felt like an invisible dome, the closer they got, the more they could sense the thick order and majesty it embodied.

On the road to Farlim, the crowd gradually grew denser.

Apart from traditional carriages and pedestrians, more large freight beast-drawn vehicles appeared.

Along the nearby river, ships were also slowly sailing towards Farlim.

As they got closer to Farlim, Gauss first saw those white city walls.

These were not ordinary walls but built from giant stones cut smooth and flat, with golden magical power patterns slowly flowing between the gaps.

The continuous city walls exuded a sacred and majestic aura.

Anyone seeing this city for the first time couldn’t help but feel deeply awed.

”Is this Farlim?”

Even after visiting three cities, Barry, Sena, and Flute Castle, a somewhat knowledgeable Gauss couldn’t help but marvel at the grandeur of the city before him.

This was the first metropolis that made Gauss feel the ”breath of civilization.”

When they got closer, Gauss finally figured out what the small black dots he saw in the distant sky were.

They were teams of flying Griffin Knights patrolling, with knights in silver-white light armor riding above, maintaining coordinated and orderly flight paths.

Visitors queueing to enter the city also looked up at them, expressing exclamations of awe.

”This way, please.”

As Gauss was about to queue with the long cart flow to enter, several guards came to his side, guiding them to a small room by a side door.

Inside sat several orderly uniformed gray-uniformed chiefs.

”You are adventurers, right, could you please show your identification plates?” one of them said.

Creatures reaching a certain level are identified before arriving in Farlim.

”Alright.”

Gauss flipped his hand to take out his identification plate.

In Gray Rock Town, they had just updated their information.

Seeing Gauss and others’ identification plates, the previously casual chiefs subtly adjusted their posture.

Level 6 and 7 professionals were not very common even in Farlim.
