I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Even with such severe injuries, the Two-legged Flying Dragon did not die immediately.

”Such strong Life Force.”

Its piercing roar of pain was deafening even in the chaotic battlefield, forcing the soldiers below to cover their ears.

Some unfortunate ones who were too close suffered bleeding ears, lost balance, and were helped aside by companions to rest and receive treatment.

Serdur began continuously casting Healing Skill to aid the injured soldiers.

This is the cruelty ordinary people face in such a battlefield; the aftermath of attacks from powerful creatures alone is unbearable, let alone direct confrontation.

”Don’t stop! Those not injured, keep shooting arrows!”

The captains at the rear still roared, urging everyone to shoot freely outside the city.

In the sky, Gauss was just about to retrieve the Holy Water, preparing to strike while the enemy was down and shoot a second arrow.

Another flying dragon quickly followed, reaching out a pair of sharp, giant claws to grab at him.

The claws, capable of easily splitting mountains and rocks, were wrapped in a brutal gale. Gauss did not want to test them with his life.

Helplessly, he had to temporarily abandon the second arrow.

But Albena, waiting below for an opportunity, suddenly leaped high, coordinating with Ying, one on the left, one on the right.

”Ah!!”

Albena wielded a giant axe full force, chopping at the relatively weak wing of the Two-legged Flying Dragon.

While Ying appeared on the other side, its clone coordinated to pierce the wing membrane, firmly anchoring the dragon to the city wall tower.

”Tss!”

Green corrosive blood sprayed from the wound, leaving several fuming pits on the city bricks instantly.

Gauss was entangled by other Two-legged Flying Dragons in the sky.

Red Dragon Dragon Beast Hephaestus temporarily restrained one for him.

”Thousand Silk Breaking Domain!”

Gauss shouted lowly, the faint blue water lines around him, as thin as hair and almost transparent, suddenly trembled.

It was not a normal vibration but a high-frequency, magic power-infused rapid cutting oscillation.

Under his precise control, these water lines swiftly expanded outward from him as the center, forming a deadly domain of interwoven threads.

”Roar!!!”

The second Two-legged Flying Dragon, which was swiping its claws at him, unexpectedly crashed into this newly formed water-cutting net.

With a dense cutting noise that made one’s scalp tingle, the dragon’s claws were immediately shattered upon contact with the outermost water lines, as if they had been thrown into a meat grinder.

First, the thick and tough leather, followed closely by the tendons, started to break after a short period of rapid cutting, emitting green viscous blood that transformed into a dispersed green mist, revealing the stark white bones within.

The dragon hurriedly flapped its wings, rising in flight.

Gauss looked towards the wounded dragon trapped on the city wall by Albena and Ying’s joint effort.

The water wire net transformed into numerous streams, gathering on his hand to form a large bow once again.

Without extra thought, his mind focused.

He slightly turned his body, sinking his left shoulder, drawing his right arm back, and in his left hand, a majestic blue-golden shimmering bow instantly lit up, illuminating the dark night sky.

Another portion of water rapidly gathered, compressed, and extended between his right index and middle fingers, forming a completely azure Magic arrow.

”Buzz!!!!”

The magic of Water Manipulation continuously gathered into the arrow.

Unlike the hurried shooting before, this time the accumulated energy caused the bow and arrow to emit a humming sound, like a giant whale’s deep, resonant song from the ocean.

The bow gradually bent, pulling into a full, beautiful arc, appearing as a blue crescent moon across the sky.

Magic power flowed surgingly over the arrow, the light growing brighter, casting Gauss’s focused side face in azure hues.

His vision focused entirely, with all emotions excluded.

His clear line of sight, arrow shaft, and the target dragon instantly aligned into a deadly straight line.

Ying, Albena and him seamlessly coordinated, dodging away the moment he summoned the bow and arrow.

At the moment the bow was full, resembling the full moon, his breath paused.

Time seemed to freeze at that moment.

The soldiers’ roars below, the monster’s rumbling, and the terrified Two-legged Flying Dragon froze as if a pause button had been pressed.

”Thud!”

Like the starting gunshot in a race.

A clean, elastic twang of the bowstring suddenly echoed!

All accumulated strength and magic found their sole outlet at that instant.

The bowstring intensely rebounded, transferring that enormous power and surging magic wholly into the arrow.

Azure trailing light shone forth!

As the arrow left the bowstring, several sonic boom airflows rolled, leaving a lingering, vivid blue afterimage in the sky.

The azure arrow instantaneously traversed space, precisely embedding into the brain matter of the target dragon.

”Boom!!!”

The arrow exploded into a blue magic halo upon impact.

Almost instantly, it broke through the dragon’s hardest part: the skull.

The dragon’s cracked skull was as if a highly compressed water elemental bomb had been stuffed inside it.

The azure magic halo crazily compressed and pierced inward upon impact, then released outwards, emitting countless fine yet sharply unmatched high-pressure water blades.

In less than a tenth of a blink of an eye, the Two-legged Flying Dragon’s head was completely shattered by the water arrow explosion, and its entire head along with a large segment of the neck was utterly obliterated.
