Chapter 158: Chapter 158: Incorrect Information

The scale of the Undead Tide was larger than Su Changxing imagined, as numerous zombies poured in from the other end of the alley.

Before his eyes were pairs of dark red eyes, the entire alley akin to a bottomless abyssal mouth.

Su Changxing ran to the alley entrance, about to go in, when a sharp wind sound forced him to stop and step back slightly.

”Bang~”

A zombie was hit, a bowl-sized hole blasting open in its chest, blood splattering everywhere.

Su Changxing barely dodged it, his body splattered with raindrop-like black blood. He glanced back at the woman, realizing he had no choice but to run into the alley.

This distance exceeded 400 meters, and even if firing a pistol, the accuracy wouldn’t be high, yet she could unleash powerful and precise strikes with a bow and arrow.

Looking up in the alley, there was a bloody mist overhead, and below, a pitch blackness, giving an endless feeling.

Facing the relentless onslaught of zombies, Su Changxing could only climb along the wall, but in this status, his speed was barely faster than the zombies.

Soon, the alley was crowded with zombies, quite a few jumping at Su Changxing’s feet, some nearly reaching him several times.

These zombies were not just mindlessly jumping; they would also climb using the wall, appearing particularly spiritual under the Blood Moon.

With no alternative, Su Changxing reached a broken section, entering the building from a large window position, what seemed like a restaurant on the second floor, filled with many dilapidated chairs and benches.

”Hmm?”

Suddenly, his heart skipped a beat upon seeing two figures standing in the darkness, silently watching him, with over ten zombie corpses strewn on the surrounding ground.

Caught just in time?

Su Changxing hadn’t expected there to be Hunters here. He hesitated not, raising his gun to shoot at the one holding a long saber on the right.

”Bang bang~”

Two shots fired in succession, but that person moved with extreme speed, dodging the bullets by continually twisting his body.

The distance between the three was close, and as Su Changxing shot, the other person, eyes gleaming with a ghostly light, charged at him with an axe.

A piercing pain struck his mind, and Su Changxing stood rigid, his gaze unfocused as if he had lost consciousness.

The Hunter grinned, seeing hope of killing this Otherworld human, thinking that no matter how strong, he was still caught in his trap.

As the axe approached Su Changxing’s head, he suddenly moved, sidestepping the blade, swinging his Steel Saber back to slice the Hunter’s neck, blood flowing over the blade, splattering up and down on the wall.

”Got you.”

Su Changxing said with a silent laugh, facing this kind of Spiritual Attack-type Hunter with no pressure, as Dreamers have high Spirit Resistance, and his own Spiritual Power is extraordinarily high.

The head fell to the ground, landing on the wooden floor with a dull thud.

The other Hunter, seeing Su Changxing dispatch his companion, knew he wasn’t a match and decisively ran toward the door.

Su Changxing took a deep breath and immediately gave chase.

He needed to leave here quickly, as the Undead Tide would surge up the stairway, and the best escape route was to climb out from the other side of this building.

Outside, Su Changxing could no longer see the Hunter’s silhouette, maintaining his speed as he ran forward.

The wound on his back split open, blood soaking his clothing, a bone-chilling pain that intensified with his movement.

The head reminded, ”He’s hiding behind the front wall.”

Su Changxing maintained his pace while raising his gun to pre-aim, preparing to fire the moment his opponent appeared, as bullets are always faster than a person’s hand.

However, at the same time, a wind sound came from the right, and Su Changxing saw a black object shooting at him from the side room, trailing a dark line.

It was a black dagger.

Very stealthy.

It was not until it was almost upon him that he noticed, by then, it was too late to dodge, his mind racing to think of solutions.

Warm blood splattered on his face as the dagger stabbed into his arm, causing excruciating pain.

Su Changxing chose the best option, using his arm to block the flying dagger.

The dagger didn’t pierce through his arm, getting stuck in the bone.

Su Changxing angrily said, ”Damn it, Head, you screwed me.”

He hadn’t expected a third person to be here, nor that the head would provide false information.

The head quickly replied, ”Not my fault, he avoided my Perception.”

Su Changxing glanced at the Hunter in the room, giving him an exaggerated smile and bursting into laughter, ”Haha.”

As if mocking.

Su Changxing wasn’t affected, not even acknowledging this Hunter, running forward with big strides, following the planned action to shoot towards the wall.

As if previously arranged, at the moment this Hunter peeked out, the bullet flew right in front of him.

He didn’t see Su Changxing pull the trigger from behind the wall, so he didn’t dodge in advance. As he heard the gunshot, the bullet was already in front of his face.

This gun’s bullet speed was a fraction faster than the sound, so relying on sound to evade the bullet was impossible.

A bullet hole appeared on the Hunter’s head, his body falling back due to the bullet’s impact, his eyes filled with disbelief, thinking everything seemed under this Otherworld human’s control.

Su Changxing didn’t spare him a glance, pulling out the dagger from his arm, sprinting to the large window on the other side, vaulting out with a hand prop.

As he descended, a black dagger shot over his head in an arc, landing in the distant zombie horde, stirring up their agitation.

Landing on the street, he surveyed the surroundings, finding fewer zombies here, providing space to move through.

Su Changxing ran along the street for over a hundred meters, seeing two people running toward him from not far away, one wearing Leather Armor, holding a weapon.

Sure enough, more Hunters.

Gasping for air, Su Changxing’s expression involuntarily grew grave, facing continuous attacks, feeling immense pressure, with multiple injuries, two of which were severe, and lingering numbness from residual lightning.

If this continued, it would be a vicious cycle, and he might be worn down by these Hunters.

Due to several zombies in between, he couldn’t shoot directly, and firing would incite another large-scale Undead Tide.

The series of gunshots carried far, attracting not only many zombies but also letting more people hear, all Hunters knowing that the gunshots marked Su Changxing’s location.

”Gunshots?”

A blue-haired girl stood alone on the empty street, hearing the shots, tilting her head, glancing at the Screamer’s corpse on the ground, her lips curling into a smile as if remembering something amusing.

”Da da~”

Humming a tune, she strode towards the sound of gunfire, surrounded by zombie corpses.
