Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: This time I didn’t transmigrate as an Uchiha, but as a Idol!

”Kano! Kano!”

The angry shouts of the teacher, Iruka, echoed through the Ninja Academy classroom.

Iruka’s voice couldn’t wake Kano at all, who had drawn large, stylish eyes on her eyelids. Shikamaru, as her older brother, couldn’t take it anymore and knocked Kano on the head with his fist.

”Ouch! What are you doing! Stinky Shikamaru!”

”Call me big brother! Also, Iruka-sensei is calling you to answer a question.”

Shikamaru really wanted to pretend he didn’t know this person, but this embarrassing thing was his twin sister. Although he sometimes slept in class too, he didn’t sleep in every single class like his sister.

On the podium, Iruka looked at the sleepy-eyed little black-haired loli with a single ponytail, and his fists hardened.

”Kano, why are you in class again...”

”Reporting to Iruka-sensei, I wasn’t sleeping in class, I was just closing my eyes to think about a problem!”

Kano wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth, talking nonsense with a straight face and an air of righteousness.

”Then come and answer this question!”

Iruka tapped the blackboard, signaling Kano to solve the problem.

Kano answered very confidently, without even looking at the question.

”9!”

The whole class was shocked! Iruka hadn’t expected her to give such an answer either.

As everyone knew, the Nara Clan were all highly intelligent; although their family Ninjutsu wasn’t the most powerful, their brains were exceptionally sharp.

And Kano was the most special one in the Nara Clan.

She was an ”idiot”!

”This is a history class, not a math class! Kano, go stand outside the door as punishment!”

Kano gave a response and skillfully went to stand outside the door.

She had been transmigrated into the Naruto World for several years already. Originally, she was a working adult in her 30s who spent all her time saving money, never even having time to get a wife, before dying of liver cancer.

Fortunately, she was reborn into the Naruto World, though she had turned into a little girl.

Kano was very dissatisfied. Why did other people transmigrate as Uchihas, Uzumakis, or at the very least, Senjus?

In her case, she transmigrated into the Nara Clan, with zero chance of ever piloting a ’Gundam’.

But fortunately, she didn’t have to worry about being caught up in any messy events. At least she didn’t have to be like those who transmigrated into the Uchiha Clan, worrying about how to survive the Night of the Massacre or how to avoid being targeted by Danzo.

She just needed to live her own little life honestly. Besides, her appearance this time wasn’t a possession of a key character; even without her, this world wouldn’t be greatly affected. So, it was fine for her to be like a shadow, at least appearing to be mediocre.

If Kano became too prominent, that would actually be a problem.

For example, that old scoundrel Danzo; if you were even a little bit powerful, you might be snatched away to Root to be messed with.

She was very clear on this point. She usually hid in her room at night to train secretly and spent very little time training outside during the day, which was why she was so sleepy during the day.

Standing outside the door, she leaned against the wall and was about to fall asleep with her eyes closed. Naruto, who was late, rushed into the classroom and greeted Kano at the door in passing. Kano only gave a slight response and didn’t interact much with Naruto.

She was also quite afraid of being noticed by the higher-ups prematurely because of caring about Naruto.

She didn’t know why, but despite only meeting a few times, Naruto always took the initiative to greet her, even though she ignored him just like everyone else.

Could it be a mutual sympathy between dead-lasts?

Or was it because she stood up for Naruto last time? But that was several years ago, and she only acted because she really couldn’t stand it and taught those bullying brats a lesson.

Furthermore, at that time, to prevent being noticed for getting too close to Naruto, she didn’t even let him see her face.

Anyway, she wouldn’t necessarily become a ninja in the future. No matter how hard she worked, without cheats, it was useless.

Practicing Taijutsu at home was too noisy, so her Taijutsu was far behind her Ninjutsu cultivation.

But to be honest, besides the family secret techniques, she only knew the ordinary Three Basic Jutsu.

She didn’t have a cheat, and her background was decent enough. It would be better to honestly be a background character and live an obscure life.

If she had a cheat, she wouldn’t mind jumping out to change history or something.

However, after staying in the Naruto World for over 10 years, she hadn’t seen any cheats... [...idol system binding in progress (＞ω＜)?...]

Holy crap, it’s for real!

Nara Kano, who was about to doze off, instantly woke up. Just as she was thinking about a cheat, the cheat arrived! After waiting for ten years, my cheat, the mandatory system for transmigrators, is finally in my hands.

Kano tried to communicate with the system in her mind.

System, system, what do you do?

[This system is an idol system, dedicated to cultivating the host into the world’s number one Idol ????!(?•??•?)??]

Hearing the system’s answer, Kano was suddenly speechless. She felt like this system was useless.

”Can you give me any awesome Ninjutsu or an invincible physique?”

[What is that (*°?°)=?]

Kano was a bit speechless. How was this system so naive and airheaded?

”What rewards can you give me?”

[As long as the host completes tasks, you can obtain system rewards, such as Beauty Pills, a Wonderful Singing Voice, Beautiful Hair, etc., to become even more excellent and become a world-shining Idol loved by everyone ?(?`?′?)??]

Eh... A look of disappointment.

[How is it, host? Are you excited (?ò ? ó?)? Let’s work hard together to become an Idol (? •?_•?)??!]

[Newbie Task: Show off your voice ?～! Practice singing for one hour. Perhaps a lucky person will hear this voice that is destined to shine and become your first fan ?(?`?′?)? Reward: Indestructible Vocal Cords (?＞?＜)☆]

”Not interested.”

What’s the use of these vocal cords? Will it prevent me from coughing up phlegm when I’m begging for mercy?

Begging for mercy, one step ahead of others!

[Eh Σ(っ °Д °;)っ Why (?°—°?)?]

”What else could it be? It’s just that I don’t care for your rewards.”

Kano ignored the system and leaned against the wall, preparing to take a nap.

[Then... then I also have other rewards here, like 300 popular songs, elegant posture, perfect body... which one do you like? We can negotiate ( •?? ? •?? )]

”I don’t like any of them. I want rewards that can make me stronger.”

Kano only glanced at it and didn’t care much, closing her eyes. Although she had the idea of not being a ninja, she still needed some self-preservation ability. She just needed to be able to survive during a large-scale attack.

As long as she continued to maintain her disguise and didn’t become a ninja, she would be arranged for evacuation when there was a war in the future. After all, she occupied three categories by herself: the old, the weak, and women and children.

[But, but I only have these kinds of rewards... I’m just a rookie system, I don’t have that many good rewards... (?•?︿•??)]

This system is really useless; it’s better to rely on myself.

[Wait, let me think of a way... Don’t dislike me... I also really want to help you (?ó﹏ò?) Wait for me a bit, I’ll go ask my seniors, wait for me a bit ??(?∩′﹏`∩?)??]

After half an hour, the system’s voice appeared again.

[host, sorry for the wait! Two seniors exchanged task rewards with me. One is a [Newbie Gift Pack], and the other is a [Random A-Rank Ninjutsu Gift Pack]. Do you like these two task rewards? (＞＜)]

”What’s in that Newbie Gift Pack?”

[I’m not too sure either. This was given to me by a Super Fusion System senior. His performance is very good, and he got promoted today. I told him about my situation, and he gave this to me, saying you would definitely find it useful.]

”In that case, I’ll accept it.”

Then let’s hurry up and start! I can’t wait to start grinding tasks! I’ll strive to grind dozens of tasks a day!

[Every task has a duration, and only one task can be updated per day. Only when the current task is completed can the next task be accepted.]

Kano was so anxious she started stomping her feet. Why could she only grind one task a day at most? She was already impatient to become stronger and then go on a rampage.
