Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 77: Chapter 77: The Final Exam

For the final exam, Kano knew deep down that this match would end halfway through.

However, she definitely had to fight well. Moreover, this match had no mission restrictions; the current mission was so difficult that it couldn’t be completed in a short time.

[An Idol must have their own original famous song, so that everyone will immediately think of your song when they hear your name (?＞?＜?) Work hard to create an original song and strive to produce a world-class S-rank hit ? ?)?*?? Mission Reward: Genjutsu: Have Hallucinations, Color-changing Nail Polish]

Creating an original song at S-rank was extremely difficult for Kano, a complete rookie with zero composition experience. However, she already had a rough outline; as long as she took it step by step, she should be able to finish the piece.

”Welcome to the Daimyo and all the spectators who have come from afar to participate in the joint Chunin Exams hosted by Konoha Village. Konoha Village would like to express its gratitude to everyone once again.

Before the match begins, we have invited one of the contestants, who is also currently the most popular konoha songstress—Kano! She will be bringing us a wonderful musical performance!”

The moment the specially arranged spotlight suddenly focused, Kano leapt from high up, moving to the beat. Everyone’s eyes were drawn to the cute and beautiful girl, unable to look away for a long time.

Her sky blue, waist-baring formal dress featured a dazzling yellow gemstone on the chest. The white hollowed-out short skirt allowed a faint glimpse of the view inside from one transparent side, and a silver chain belt swayed gently with her movements, outlining her sharp waistline.

The white over-the-knee socks with a faint cherry blossom pattern combined with the short skirt to form a perfect Absolute Territory, piquing the audience’s desire to explore, while the enigmatic single-sided crystal blue thigh ring sparked their curiosity.

Her exquisite and sweet makeup revealed a charming smile, her flowing twin-tails danced in the wind, and the diamond star clip at the end of her hair sparkled along with the breeze.

The most eye-catching part was those fluorescent pink high-top shoes, with musical note graffiti on the sides. Every jump looked like she was stepping on starlight; the girl’s energy and coolness blended perfectly in her.

”Hello everyone! I’m Kano! Next, I will perform a song that is most suitable for right now, dedicated to the Daimyo and the audience who have come from afar, as well as to the candidates of this exam!”

”Shadow Clone Jutsu!”

Three Shadow Clones appeared behind Kano: one sat behind a drum kit, one held a bass guitar ready to go, and a keyboardist was also fully prepared!

The original body stood before the microphone, holding a guitar.

The song she prepared to sing was called—’GO!!!’

This was also the fourth opening theme of Naruto, perfect for the high spirits of the youths. This was also Kano’s first attempt at mixing different music scores into the same song.

This time, she tried to mix the Skillful Music Score and the Marching Score. The blended score had the effect of boosting morale and making people feel happy, excited, and hot-blooded.

But her proficiency alone wasn’t enough, so she called three Shadow Clones to help perform together.

”We are Fighting Dreamers~! (We fight for our dreams!)

Aiming for the heights (Aiming high to surpass our limits.)

Fighting Dreamers~! (Fighting for our dreams!)

Regardless of appearances (Nothing can dampen our will.)

Fighting Dreamers~! (Fighting for our dreams!)

Just as we believe (Believe that you have this power.)

Oli Oli Oli Oh-! Just go my way! (Just go my own way!)”

The thrilling singing spread throughout the audience, and even the Daimyo couldn’t help but stand up.

”Hurry up and write this song down, everyone learn it when we get back! This is what a song should be; all the music I heard before was just trash!

I am very satisfied with this performance. Increase Konoha Village’s funding by ten percent when we return, and set aside another tenth specifically to reward the konoha songstress so she can keep up the good work.

By the way, ask her if she’s willing to come work for me. She won’t have to risk her life, and the salary is higher than their Hokage’s.”

As the song ended, thunderous cheers erupted in the venue. Her popularity points also surged with the applause; if it were like this every day, she would soon be able to exchange for the next Forbidden Jutsu. Although everyone was shouting ’Encore!’, Kano still bowed her thanks and left the stage. After all, this wasn’t her concert; the focus was still the Chunin Exams.

The first match.

Naruto vs. Neji, and the second match was Shikamaru vs. Temari.

My big brother still forfeited voluntarily just like in the original story. But he actually held back; he had already learned the Shadow Deer Technique and could have totally used the Shadow Deer to deal damage while the opponent was controlled.
