Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 79: Chapter 79: Otogakure’s Intrusion

Earthen walls can stop water, but they can’t stop the pipe!

Shadow Deer Tube rushed forward and directly shattered the earthen wall, sending Sasuke flying with an elbow strike. After flying half a meter, Sasuke suddenly turned into a wooden log.

This is the Substitution Jutsu!

Immediately after, Sasuke rushed out from the right side, heading straight for Kano. His speed was practically on par with Rock Lee’s, and Shadow Haku didn’t even have time to return to help. Kano immediately had Shadow Zabuza use a Water Body Flicker to get over and deal with Sasuke, knocking him to the ground with a single punch.

However, just as Kano thought she had dealt with Sasuke, another Sasuke rushed out from the left.

”Shadow Clone? You even learned Naruto’s Ninjutsu!”

”One can’t have too many skills. If you wanted to learn it, you could have learned it long ago.”

”Dammit, you’re just throwing out Ninjutsu recklessly because you have so much Chakra, aren’t you?”

On the other side, Sasuke quickly broke through Shadow Haku’s defense and was about to rush in front of Kano.

”Think you can defeat me just by getting close? Have you forgotten my clan’s Ninjutsu? Ninja Art: Shadow Binding Technique!”

The shadow extended rapidly, touching Sasuke’s shadow before he could reach her.

”Got you!”

However, the Sasuke in front of her suddenly turned into a puff of smoke and disappeared.

Another Shadow Clone!

Immediately after, Kano felt the ground beneath her feet loosen, but it was too late to dodge. A hand reached out from the earth and grabbed her delicate ankle, which was wrapped in white silk.

”Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu!”

”Kakashi-sensei really is biased, teaching you all sorts of Ninjutsu!”

The one caught was naturally Kano’s real body. Kano had actually used clone techniques as bait as well, but Sasuke had seen through them all. Now that Kano couldn’t dodge, she had to take out Sasuke before being buried in the ground!

”hunting flute!”

The ultra-heavy conch flute was summoned from above and slammed heavily onto the ground. No matter how resilient Sasuke was, this blow would definitely knock him out of the fight.

Sure enough, the downward pulling force vanished.

But Kano soon realized something was wrong; that hand turned into a puff of smoke and disappeared.

Another Shadow Clone!

Does he have to show off this much?!

Kano had originally intended to just go through the motions and act as a sparring partner for Sasuke. However, Sasuke’s strength truly exceeded her imagination; she had to get a bit more serious.

Where was Sasuke’s real body? The Shadow Clone below had just been destroyed, so he couldn’t be down there. The Shadow Clone on the left had just disappeared after being caught by her shadow.

The Shadow Clone on the right had been taken out by Shadow Zabuza and was still lying on the ground.

There was no one above or behind... wait, the right!

The Sasuke lying on the ground lifted his head, and Kano saw it too—she met his crimson Sharingan.

Oh no!

”Genjutsu: Sharingan!”

In an instant, Kano froze. Sasuke quickly threw out several Kunai with explosive tags attached, flying straight toward Kano. Shadow Zabuza immediately returned to defend; although he saved Kano, Shadow Zabuza was rendered unable to fight again.

After this series of attacks, Kakashi and Naruto, Ino and Shikamaru all had their hearts in their throats.

explosive tags in this early stage can really kill someone!

”Luna-chan, keep it up!”

”Kano, go for it!”

Naruto didn’t hesitate to start cheering for Kano. Ino hesitated for a long time between the man she liked and her best friend, but in the end, she chose her best friend!

”konoha songstress, keep it up!”

Even the Daimyo began to cheer for Kano.

Although only a few girls were willing to cheer for Sasuke, Sasuke didn’t care about such things.

Sasuke’s maneuvers were practically designed to take down Kano; every move targeted her weaknesses. This was a combo carefully planned for a whole month specifically to deal with Kano!

All the spectators began to marvel at Sasuke’s clever sequence of traps, which had calculated Kano’s every reaction.

When the smoke from the explosive tags cleared, a Shadow Deer jumped out with Kano on its back.

”Nice one, Sasuke. You dare use tricks on me now.”

”I learned it all from you. Unfortunately, I didn’t knock you down. You really are terrifyingly strong, Kano!”

Sasuke activated his Sharingan, and Kano also lifted her hunting flute.

Sasuke spread his hands and sighed.
