Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 61: Chapter 61 A beam of light shot out from the center of the scroll, hitting Kano.

Shadow Preservation: Shadow Soldiers are stored within the caster’s shadow or can be made to lurk in specific shadows. They can be summoned or stored again as needed. Maximum storage is 60. If a shadow is killed, it requires half an hour to resurrect. (Quantity increased, cooldown reduced)

Shadow Upgrade: A shadow can be used as a base and upgraded by consuming other shadows. The materials used will also affect the main entity being strengthened. Consumed shadows will disappear permanently. (Material experience points increased)

This upgrade didn’t have any very obvious improvements, but what she wanted was the additional effect.

A beam of light shot out from the center of the scroll, hitting Kano.

Full status recovery!

”How about another round!”

Three Shadow Ninjas emerged once again.

Orochimaru was dumbfounded; this damn Ninjutsu was just ridiculous.

He wouldn’t gain anything by continuing the fight.

”How about it, Orochimaru? Still want to fight? I told you, you can’t take me away.”

”Fine, then let’s talk about the deal. What information do you have?”

”Your Living Corpse Reincarnation has rejection reactions, but I know of a body that won’t have any, and it even has something stronger than the Sharingan—Wood Release!”

”Oh? You even know about my Living Corpse Reincarnation. You really know a lot. So, where is that body?”

”This is a deal. I won’t tell you until I get what I want.”

”What do you want?”

”Just give me the Earth Scroll.”

”That simple?”

”Yes, that simple.”

Orochimaru didn’t doubt Kano; he spat out the Earth Scroll and threw it over. Kano, thinking it was dirty, didn’t catch it, but instead had a Shadow Ninja pick it up and wipe it clean with its clothes before handing it to her.

”Go ahead.”

”There are many of those bodies, almost an inexhaustible supply, and they can even be used as materials for Edo Tensei. But you can’t get them for now; those things are buried underground. In a few years, they’ll be running around everywhere, and you’ll be able to catch them easily.

If your current body can’t hold out, you can also just find a body to make do with as originally planned.”

”Are you playing me?”

”How could I? That place is very dangerous; I don’t recommend you look for it. After all, Uchiha Madara is watching over it. If you dare go there, you’re dead.”

”Uchiha Madara? Didn’t he die a long time ago?”

”Yes and no. It’s complicated to explain, so just assume he’s not dead. But don’t go poking around into these things; once it’s known you’re asking about him, you’ll be close to death.

When the time is right, come find me and I’ll take you to catch one. Don’t try to catch them yourself; those things have a collective consciousness and can share information. It’s very dangerous to try and catch them blindly.

Also, you probably want the Sharingan, right? That’s why you want to see if Sasuke is suitable and if his talent is enough. If he’s not right, I recommend you go find Danzo. Haven’t you collaborated with him on Wood Release research? He has many Sharingan eyes over there, even Uchiha Shisui’s Mangekyo Sharingan, the strongest illusion technique Kotoamatsukami.

You could also just steal his.

Besides, Uchiha bodies aren’t even that great. There are more impressive eyes out there than just the Sharingan.”

”Who on earth are you, to even know about such things? Your strength is completely beyond what a Genin should have. You have quite a few secrets yourself.

I’m very interested in you; perhaps we can collaborate if the opportunity arises. However, I hope you won’t interfere with my actions this time.”

”No worries, do your thing. I’ll benefit if you kill the Third Hokage. Also, if your hands become unusable in the future, you can come find me; I have a way to help you recover.”

Orochimaru was startled inwardly. How did this little girl know everything? Who was the leak? But from the looks of it, she didn’t seem to care about Konoha Village. Perhaps he could lure her out of the village to be a partner.

”Hehe, then I wish us a pleasant transaction. I look forward to cooperating with you in the future. Also, here’s a small gift for you.”

Orochimaru’s neck suddenly elongated, revealing sharp teeth as he prepared to take a bite out of Kano’s smooth neck.
