Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Uchiha

”Uchiha Itachi! Die!”

Chidori gathered in his hand as Sasuke charged at Uchiha Itachi, sparks and lightning trailing in his wake. At this moment, Itachi was still shocked by the identity of the girl before him; she appeared to be the same age as his brother, yet she gave him the feeling that she could see right through him.

He was so distracted that he didn’t even react to Sasuke’s charge, habitually kicking him into a wall.

Snapping back to his senses, Uchiha Itachi quickly looked at his brother; he hadn’t held back on that kick, and he hoped he hadn’t killed him! Seeing that Sasuke was still breathing, he turned serious again, hiding that hint of fluster.

Naruto was about to act when he saw this, and Kisame also reacted. However, Kano stopped Naruto and told him not to move.

”Let the two brothers have a serious fight. We’re just outsiders at a time like this; it’s not appropriate to interfere in their family matters,” Kano warned Naruto, then glanced at the other man. ”Right, Mr. Kisame Hoshigaki?”

”You’re quite understanding. Since it’s Mr. Itachi’s business, it’s not good for me to interfere. Let’s be spectators together.”

She pulled Naruto to sit down a bit further away and took out a pair of sunglasses to hand to him.

”Why do you want me to wear sunglasses?”

”Don’t worry about it, just put them on.”

Sasuke climbed up from the ground again; he now understood the gap between him and Itachi. It seemed he had underestimated Itachi’s strength; he hadn’t shown Itachi enough respect.

Next, he was going to start respecting the battle!

Sasuke reached into his ninja tool pouch, pulled out three Kunai, and threw them quickly. However, under Uchiha Itachi’s Sharingan, this was as easy to dodge as slow motion.

Although Itachi dodged, Sasuke never expected them to hit from the start; tied to the back of the Kunai were flash bombs.

The close-range explosion of the flash bombs forced even Uchiha Itachi to close his Sharingan. Sasuke, prepared in advance, had put on goggles and then began moving quickly, jumping around while weaving hand signs.

After adapting, Itachi opened his eyes to search for Sasuke’s position, but Sasuke didn’t mindlessly close in as expected; instead, he prepared to use Ninjutsu.

”Wind Release: Lime Blinding Wind!”

Grayish-white powder, carried by strong winds, instantly filled the entire corridor. The irritating powder made it impossible to open one’s eyes. The most miserable was Uchiha Itachi, whose face was directly plastered with lime; it didn’t do much damage, but this thing really countered the Sharingan.

A little bit accidentally got in, and now Itachi couldn’t even open his eyes, with tears constantly welling in the corners.

Kano was still complaining from the side.

”In terms of making one cry, this is more effective than onions.”

Although he could beat Sasuke even without the Sharingan, his mental state was starting to waver after being messed with like this.

”Who exactly taught you to fight like this? Kakashi?”

The culprit on the side, Kano, was still whistling and playing innocent. How boring would it be if Sasuke’s side just got crushed? It’s only interesting if they go back and forth like this.

Thus, although Sasuke still took more hits than he gave, he could at least land some, unlike the original story where he was purely a punching bag.

”To kill you, I’ve given everything! All these years, following your arrangement, driven by hatred and anger—the blood of that night will eventually turn into the blade that kills you!”

Actually, it wasn’t just lime and flash bombs; the scrolls of various sizes at Sasuke’s waist were full of all kinds of ninja tools and props.

A serious battle for revenge had been turned into an Item Match by Sasuke. Under Kano’s influence, he hadn’t let hatred blind him to the point of rushing in blindly despite the power gap. Instead, he respected his opponent’s strength; to ensure he could truly kill him, he utilized both his intellect and his financial resources.

Even though it was an Item Match where all sorts of useful and useless props were thrown along with colorful Ninjutsu, Sasuke still couldn’t gain the upper hand.

At this time, Jiraiya quietly came to Kano and Naruto’s side, carrying a beautiful woman.

”What’s the situation?”

He set the woman down to the side, picked up an open bag of potato chips, and started eating.
