Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: XP Exposed

”I’ll do it even without you telling me.”

Kano gave a perfunctory reply.

Itachi didn’t know the girl’s origin, but her attitude suggested she knew the inside story, so he could entrust her to look after Sasuke.

”You can’t trap them.”

Shadow Deer Tube appeared and grabbed Jiraiya’s hands, preventing him from forming seals.

”Impossible, no one can escape my Toad Mouth Bind.”

Jiraiya, whose casting was interrupted, was unconvinced; he was somewhat dissatisfied with Kano, this little girl, who always acted like an adult.

”Don’t, I don’t want to see your big toad get a stomach perforation from being burned.” Kano ignored Jiraiya’s complaints. ”Naruto, go check on Sasuke’s injuries. I’ll find someone to take him back to Konoha Village.”

Meanwhile, on the other side, Itachi and Kisame retreated quickly.

”I think we can still fight, why retreat, Itachi-san?”

”I can’t even open my eyes now; I’m unable to fight. And even so, I feel our chances of winning are slim, and we can’t take the Nine-Tailed.”

”Because of Jiraiya, one of the Sannin?”

”No, it’s that girl. Although she only seems to have slightly more Chakra on the surface, she’s no different from an ordinary Genin otherwise. But she gives me a very unique feeling.”

”Is she strong?”

”Not sure, but she seems to know a lot, has no hostility towards us, and doesn’t seem to fear us at all. She’s likely not weak.”

”Then let’s find a place to rest and then head back.”

Back with Kano, because most of the inn was destroyed and the owner was an ordinary person, she didn’t dare ask this group for compensation.

Kano didn’t want to bully ordinary people, so she opened her wallet and compensated the landlady for the losses. The landlady didn’t notice the amount of money at all; instead, her attention was entirely on Kano.

”Sorry, landlady, I only brought this much money with me. We’ll send the rest over in a few days.”

”Excuse me, are you the konoha songstress?”

”You know me?”

”I’ve heard your songs! I went to Konoha Village to hear a live version before! I’m your fan! My kid is also your fan! No need for the rest of the compensation, can you give me an autograph?”

”Thank you for your support. Sign here?”

Kano put away her empty wallet and signed her name on the owner’s clothes.

Not only did she sign konoha songstress • Nara Kano, but she also drew a cute little sketch of a deer next to it.

”Thank you, thank you so much! I didn’t expect a blessing in disguise today!”

”Then we’ll take our leave, landlady.”

”Come back next time! You can stay at our shop for free.”

Returning to Naruto’s side, Might Guy had already picked up Sasuke. Seeing Kano return, he pulled out another green jumpsuit.

”Kano, do you want this perfect-looking, beautiful-lined combat suit with excellent breathability and moisture retention, designed for ease of movement!”

”No thanks, I prefer wearing dresses. Also, put this IOU in Sasuke’s pocket. Remember to remind him to pay me back when he wakes up.”

Seeing off Might Guy and Sasuke, Naruto was still holding that green jumpsuit. Jiraiya couldn’t stand it any longer.

”Hey, don’t wear it. Look at that person in front of you, he’s very tacky.”

”I think it’s okay?”
