Naruto: Reborn as Konoha's Idol

Chapter 76: Chapter 76: The Correct Way to Use a Virtual Idol Skin

”Luna-chan, good morning...”

”Naruto, morning to you too. By the way, it’s already noon. Did you come to see me for something?”

”It’s, well... I wanted to ask you... well...”

Naruto stammered, making it completely unclear what he wanted to say. Jiraiya, standing nearby, couldn’t stand Naruto’s spineless display any longer and spoke up to explain to Kano:

”He wants to give the person he likes a hug.”

”Ah! Pervy Sage, how could you just say it like that?! It’s not like that, it’s for training, well...”

Kano immediately understood what Jiraiya was trying to do. This was the stage where Naruto would be pushed off a cliff to stimulate the Nine-Tailed Chakra, so he was currently in the ’eat something good’ phase before the ordeal.

Kano gave Naruto a hug and patted his head for good measure. After holding him for a while, she finally let go of the somewhat dazed Naruto.

”Are you satisfied?”

”Yeah, I’m satisfied...”

”Then do your best with your upcoming training. I’ll always support you!”

”Don’t worry, I’m about to learn a super powerful Ninjutsu!”

”I’ll be looking forward to it, then.”

Seeing Naruto training hard, Kano was very gratified. She had to work hard on her training too!

These days, besides grinding system missions to save up popularity points, Kano spent her time at home secretly taking care of Gekkō Hayate. She also researched the Genjutsu: Hell Viewing Technique. Using the materials provided by Kakashi-sensei, she gradually figured out the principle of this technique and could now preliminarily modify and amplify emotions. However, she could only do so with negative emotions; happiness and joy were still beyond her reach for now.

Additionally, her attempt to combine Genjutsu with music hit a bottleneck. Neither Konoha Village, Shikaku, nor Kakashi could find any sound-based Genjutsu. She had also asked Kurenai Yuhi, but she didn’t have any sound-based Genjutsu either.

Kakashi relayed her exact words: ”The activation conditions for music-based Genjutsu are too harsh and very obvious. Generally, Genjutsu needs to be cast covertly. If the opponent realizes it’s an illusion, it’s very difficult for it to take effect.”

Another thing she wanted to learn was the Mystical Palm Technique. Encountering Hayate’s situation made her realize the importance of medical Ninjutsu.

”Hey, System, are there any skills with healing abilities?”

[Wait a second, let me look, haha ヾ(′?｀.ヾ) This one is a skill where you sit on the patient’s face to wake them up. That doesn’t seem right ?_? This one is giving your underwear to others to eat to recover health Σ( ° △ °|||)︴ Don’t be mad, I’ll look for something else... Ah! This skill can produce healing through prayer!!!!=????(?ò?ó ?)?]

”Oh, that sounds pretty good. What’s the specific effect?”

[Let me show you: Holy Light Prayer. By offering a devout prayer and a sacrifice to the gods, one can obtain a powerful healing effect.]

”It needs a sacrifice? Well, as long as it’s a simple one. What kind of sacrifice does this skill require?”

[A pure and flawless maiden (?˙▽˙?)]

”Screw you! What kind of garbage skill is that? If you find any more of these ridiculous skills, I’m ignoring you!”

[Wait, wait, wait! I’ll look again (?﹏?)]

”Show me all the rewards you’ve traded for so far. I’ll pick them myself.”

[Fine, I’ve displayed them all for you ( ?? ﹏ ?? )]

”Holy crap, over a hundred? Did you go and sell yourself?”

[No! The seniors are all very nice. I traded some old clothes for some rewards, and for others, I just accompanied them to dinner ╮( •?ω•? )╭]

Kano knew those were just excuses. She hadn’t expected that her little system would work so hard at selling its butt during its free time.

[I feel like you’re thinking something very rude (?`~′?)]

”No, no, I’m looking seriously. This skill seems pretty powerful; it involves illusions.”

[Isn’t this Genjutsu ?(????)?? Weren’t you looking for a healing technique ⊙▽⊙? This was a reward traded from the Ultimate Mafia Family System senior.]

”Of course this can be used as a healing technique. Turning intangible illusions into tangible ones, and tangible ones into intangible ones to confuse the enemy’s judgment.”

”If I use Genjutsu to simulate a severely injured person’s missing limbs or organs and turn that illusion into reality, wouldn’t they be healed?”

[I see! Then I’ll exchange the next reward for this one ??·??·??*?? ]

”Yeah, go ahead.”

[Remember, you have to complete or abandon your current mission before a new one can be refreshed (•?ω•? ?）]

”It’s just holding a concert. That’s easy. The reward is copying a piece of music, right? In this Naruto World, who else can perform besides me? Maybe I’ll save it to copy Tayuya’s sound-based Genjutsu.”

Tayuya was that flute-playing female Ninja from Otogakure. This woman was her stupid brother’s enemy, and Kano remembered that clearly.

By the way, why is that Virtual Idol Skin from the previous mission reward just a piece of clothing?

[As long as you put on those clothes, you can take on a different identity as an Idol. No one will ever associate your real self with the virtual Idol. You don’t have to worry about being doxxed at all! (?>?
