While Everyone Panicked, I Upgraded My Raft

Chapter 135: Chapter 126: Four-Story Raft

Many players knew very well that compared to when the Antidotes and Eira Grass first appeared, the current situation was already much better.

Jaina Harmon was also looking at the various praises in the large group chat. Seeing someone mention her, Jaina’s expression showed a hint of pride. After all, she knew very well that the Eira Grass Seeds were distributed through her hands.

[Jaina Harmon: Aw, I think sometimes selling precious seeds isn’t a bad thing. We saved ourselves, and we saved a lot of people too.]

[Lindsay Sawyer: Haha, I think so too!]

[Jaina Harmon: It seems the Sea Survival Shop also highly values Rowan Rhodes to sell these seeds to her and let her expand the scale.]

[Lindsay Sawyer: Yeah! When I heard Skye Schuyler mention it, I couldn’t quite believe it! I never expected this.]

[Jaina Harmon: I want to ask Skye to pull Rowan into our small group chat. I wonder if that’s possible.]

[Lindsay Sawyer: You can give it a try! After all, we have the goodwill from the Eira Grass Seeds. Capable players wouldn’t miss out on networking.]

After Jaina and Lindsay finished discussing, Jaina hurried to contact Skye. Upon receiving the message, Skye directly sent a private message to Rowan.

On Rowan’s end, after checking the situation in the world channel and the Sea Survival Shop’s large group chat, she had already gone up to the third floor. Through the list of items available for listing, she saw that overnight, she had gained 5,000 stalks of Eira Grass and 5,000 Eira Grass Seeds. Seeing this, Rowan knew it must have been Big Turtle staying up late last night to work.

Talk about an overachiever! It was even more of a workaholic than she was!

She had to go up to the third floor immediately to check the situation. When she arrived, she saw Big Turtle leading Seabird One and Seabird Two, planting layer by layer.

Rowan fell silent.

Noticing Rowan coming up, Big Turtle immediately turned its head toward her.

[Master, look how awesome we are!]

Rowan quickly stepped forward and couldn’t help but say, ”You guys are awesome, but don’t you need to rest at night?” As she spoke, she purposefully checked their stats. Seeing that they were in good condition, she felt relieved.

[Big Turtle: Not tired!]

[Seabird One: It’s fine, we took turns.]

[Seabird Two: We want to work for you too, Master.]

”Thank you,” Rowan said sincerely. Perhaps only animals would have such simple and unpretentious feelings!

Then, without another word, Rowan directly joined in the planting. In the blink of an eye, 500 Eira Grass Seeds had been planted. After Seabird One and Seabird Two affectionately nuzzled against Rowan for a bit, they returned to their room to sleep.

As for Big Turtle, it chose to lie down around the Seed Bed. According to Big Turtle, the growth process of Eira Grass would produce wood elements that could nourish its body, so staying near the Seed Bed was beneficial to it.

She had to admit, Big Turtle really managed the third floor extremely well; the vegetation was lush. Even around the Seagull Family’s house, green plants covered the area, with a few blooming flowers nestled among them. Rowan had inadvertently collected these flower seeds while gathering other seeds.

Rowan’s mind was currently entirely on vegetables and fruits, so naturally, she wouldn’t spend effort planting flowers. But Big Turtle was different; after Rowan handed it various seeds, it started tinkering with them. It had even decorated the fence of the pasture. It had essentially turned the third-floor sunroom into a literal sky garden.

Although the heavy fog outside obscured the sky, making it seem as if this small sanctuary was the only thing left in the whole world, Rowan felt a profound sense of satisfaction.

Soon after, Rowan returned to the first floor.

Thanks to the continuous supply of Eira Grass and Coconut meat, the Medical Tables were steadily producing Antidotes. Rowan instinctively checked on them. A single Medical Table produced 120 Antidotes in four hours. Because she had a massive amount of Eira Grass on hand, she had increased the number of Medical Tables to ten yesterday, so she now had an additional 1,200 Antidotes.

It was safe to say this number hadn’t yet reached her production cap. Perhaps she could expand the production scale?

Rowan was already tempted by the idea. Scaling up her workshop was something she had been considering for a long time. Not to mention, there were a few architectural unlocks dangling in front of her! Take the Basic Medical Shop, for example. She had met the requirement for 10 Medical Tables, but it also required reaching a quantity of 10,000 for each medical supply. She could definitely achieve that with the Antidotes, which would complete one-fifth of the goal.

Wasting no time, she got to work. Once again, Rowan began to renovate her raft.

She planned to add another floor between the first and second floors. In reality, such a structural addition would completely defy logic, but who cared when this was a game world!

Wooden Boards, glass, scrap iron, Hinges, bolts... With ample materials at her disposal, a brand-new second floor materialized. The new second floor was similarly enclosed, with several glass windows left in place.

At the same time, Rowan divided this new second floor in half. One side would serve as a medical shop, while the other would be a tailor shop.

In the medical shop, Rowan placed her existing 10 Medical Tables and immediately added another 20. Thirty Medical Tables could produce 900 Antidotes in one hour, and 1,800 in two hours. After some thought, Rowan added another 10 tables to the middle of the room, raising the two-hour yield from 1,800 to 2,400. This way, the Eira Grass harvested every two hours would perfectly align with the Medical Tables’ production cycle. There wouldn’t be a single stalk wasted.

As for the future, she could choose to plant and produce other medicinal seeds, ensuring the setup would never go to waste. After all, this market was vast.

After unlocking them, Rowan began upgrading the Medical Tables. Once they were capable of automated production, she configured the settings for each one. With the configuration complete, the 40 Medical Tables kicked into high gear, roaring to life to produce Antidotes.

As for the remaining 2,600 stalks of Eira Grass she had on hand, she planned to list them for sale in the Sea Survival Shop, along with 5,000 Eira Grass Seeds and 1,200 Antidotes.

After organizing the medical workshop, Rowan headed over to the tailor shop on the other side.

The core Equipment for the tailor shop was the loom. Previously, to sell bedding, she had crafted a total of five looms, which were still running. The bedding she listed in the Sea Survival Shop practically always sold out, so she naturally kept them as a long-term product. Thinking it over, she increased the number of looms to 10 as well.

As for raw materials, Rowan regularly purchased them from the District 122 trading hall. Many people were willing to trade, so she didn’t have to worry about running out of supplies for production. If District 122 couldn’t supply enough, she could reach out to permanent players in other districts or rely on the supply channels within the Sea Survival Shop.

Of course, 10 looms couldn’t completely fill the entire space, so Rowan also moved the Crafting Tables into this room. After all, Crafting Tables could manufacture cloth, clothing, and similar items, which fell under the tailor category alongside the looms. It was the perfect place for them.

After settling the workspaces for the medical and tailor shops, Rowan continued to plan out the first floor.

She didn’t heavily redesign the first floor; instead, she organized it area by area according to the different types of Equipment: a Workbench area, a Furnace area, a Freshwater Collector and Seawater Desalinator area, and a living area. As for the campfire, it had already been phased out with the advent of batteries and lightbulbs.

The Workbench area took up the most space. In order to produce various goods, the number of Workbenches in this area had reached 20, with different Workbenches assigned to manufacture different items.

However, the Freshwater Collectors and Seawater Desalinators had encountered an issue today. The air was contaminated with a virus, which meant the freshwater collected by these two pieces of Equipment was unusable. Therefore, starting yesterday, both types of Equipment had ceased production.

Between each area, Rowan used Wood Walls as minor partitions, making the layout look much neater. Under her adjustments, the raft’s zones became much more distinct, and the flow of movement was far more logical.

Looking at the reorganized raft, Rowan let out a long sigh of relief. It really looked satisfying.

More importantly, her raft now had significantly more functions. The raft was no longer just a safe house to shelter her; it was a factory capable of generating capital for her. This feeling was truly wonderful.

At the same time, the numbers trailing behind Rowan’s raft on various leaderboards surged considerably, with several jumping directly by 50 percent. This sudden movement once again attracted the attention of many players.
