While Everyone Panicked, I Upgraded My Raft

Chapter 126: Chapter 118: Explosive Growth of Eira Grass

”If it’s the person making Antidotes, she’d earn more planting Eira Grass herself, wouldn’t she!”

”There’s a possibility that they just have too many seeds to plant on their own.”

”Who exactly is it?”

”Rowan Rhodes?”

”She can’t be behind everything! It might be some player with a Farming Skill.”

”Regardless of who it is, I’m thankful to them.”

”I feel like if they can release over a hundred seeds now, they’ll release more later. Staking this out.”

”Yeah, looking forward to it!”

”There’ll be more and more Antidotes in the future, right?”

”...”

Amidst the heated discussions, Jaina Harmon also noticed the matter of the Eira Grass Seeds. Initially, she had worried that it would impact her business, but seeing the pricing and quantity released by the other party made her heave a sigh of relief. Given the current market demand for Antidotes, a slightly larger quantity wouldn’t affect the price. However, she couldn’t help but harbor a trace of suspicion.

[Jaina Harmon: Did you sell Eira Grass Seeds to someone else?]

[Lindsay Sawyer: No, I thought it was you?]

[Jaina Harmon: You traded them to me. Without your permission, I would never sell them.]

[Lindsay Sawyer: Then was it the Sea Survival Shop?]

[Jaina Harmon: If it wasn’t either of us, it has to be.]

[Lindsay Sawyer: It’s fine. The quantity is low, and the price is high. It won’t affect the market. I just don’t understand who could possibly have the ability to conjure up so many Eira Grass Seeds out of thin air. I only occasionally get an extra seed to increase my stock.]

[Jaina Harmon: Maybe the Sea Survival Shop sold them to a player it favors. That player is definitely not simple.]

[Lindsay Sawyer: This is good too. With increased quantities, more people can be saved.]

[Jaina Harmon: Perhaps we could collaborate with someone who has a Farming Skill? Their yield should be higher than ours.]

[Lindsay Sawyer: Let’s give it a try.]

Struck by inspiration, Jaina and Lindsay began searching for players with a Farming Skill. This wasn’t a sudden whim on their part. Having planted the seeds themselves, they knew exactly how difficult it was to scale up the cultivation of Eira Grass Seeds. The output they currently had wasn’t even enough for them to plant themselves!

Now that they saw someone capable of multiplying the number of Eira Grass Seeds several times over, they saw the potential and were, by Nature, willing to bring them on board. After all, if collaborating could yield several times more profit than working alone, they, by Nature, preferred teamwork.

In fact, their line of thinking was completely correct. Players with a Farming Skill did indeed yield higher harvests of vegetables, fruits, and other plants compared to ordinary players. Many of the hundred-plus Eira Grass Seeds that Rowan Rhodes had just sold were purchased by players with a Farming Skill. Among them was Ian Sinclair.

The moment he snagged the seeds, Ian truly felt as if he had obtained a priceless treasure. He had accidentally been poisoned while fighting a mutated marine creature just moments prior, and was constantly losing Life Value. It could only be said that he had been too careless.

Among the Anti-toxic Equipment, he had only managed to buy an air purifier. Because of that, he was perfectly fine indoors. However, if he wanted to manufacture his own air purifiers or purchase other Anti-toxic Equipment like a Mask, staying indoors indefinitely was out of the question; he had to venture outside to find opportunities.

He had initially thought that with food and Healing Ointment on hand, restoring his Life Value would be a breeze. What he hadn’t expected was that staying outdoors for too long and accumulating the poison debuff meant that even Healing Ointment couldn’t cleanse his status.

He had even been considering whether he should seek a trade with the Sea Survival Shop! Fortunately, his quick reflexes allowed him to snatch up the Eira Grass Seeds instead. He already knew from the main chat group that Eira Grass was the primary ingredient for Antidotes. The moment he secured them, he genuinely felt that his luck wasn’t half bad.

Upon receiving the seeds, Ian immediately threw himself into focused cultivation. One grew into two, and two into four. As time passed, the quantity of Eira Grass and Eira Grass Seeds in Ian’s possession steadily multiplied.

He fed the Eira Grass into the Medical Table to craft an Antidote. Upon consuming it, the poison debuff on him completely vanished. He dumped his surplus Antidotes into his regional trading hall, exchanging them for large amounts of Coconuts and other resources. He even effortlessly traded for a Mask. He knew very well that now that he controlled Eira Grass and Antidotes, he would have nothing to worry about in this natural disaster.

There were many players just like Ian whose fates were forever changed by Rowan’s casual move. Rowan was entirely unaware of all this. Her attention was solely focused on the next batch of Eira Grass and crafting more Antidotes. After estimating her output, she started to consider hiring some medicinal laborers to work for her.
