While Everyone Panicked, I Upgraded My Raft

Chapter 124: Chapter 118: Explosive Increase of Eira Grass

Rowan Rhodes, who was on the minds of countless players, felt entirely at ease as she watched her stockpile of Equipment grow.

Although she had depleted the vast majority of her resources during this purchasing war—leaving only a small fraction and her rare materials in reserve—she knew perfectly well that once this Equipment sold, her investment would return twofold.

Earlier, she had been testing this new Equipment outdoors while simultaneously dealing with mutated marine life. Compared to other players, the mutated marine creatures outside her raft were far more numerous. She had to step in and handle them with the Fish Spear Gun; otherwise, they would only continue to accumulate.

She had also noticed this on the radar. Whenever a new wave arrived, the mutated marine creatures from the previous wave didn’t disappear. Instead, the two waves overlapped. Under these circumstances, players had no choice but to fight back. If they merely relied on their resources to stubbornly weather the storm, the eventual backlash in the later stages would likely be even more severe. This was a hidden rule of the viral natural disaster.

By tomorrow, there was a high probability that all the players would realize this. Since it was a viral natural disaster and the virus permeated the air, how could the Sea Survival Game let players hide in their turtle shells forever! It was bound to force players out the door to come face-to-face with the virus.

With these thoughts in mind, Rowan stepped indoors and immediately stripped off her air purification Mask and Antitoxic Suit.

The air purification Mask felt quite comfortable to wear. Although its Durability was relatively low, the Effect was excellent. Most importantly, it required minimal materials to craft, making it highly cost-effective.

As for the Anti-toxic Equipment, the previously acquired worm skin had been integrated into the fabric. The Abyssal Wurm itself possessed a certain level of toxicity. By focusing on this toxic nature during Manufacturing, the resulting Equipment was imbued with a decent anti-toxic Effect.

In addition to Manufacturing new items, the original Constant Temperature Suits could also be modified. After finishing a large batch of Antitoxic Suits, Faye Sinclair and the other tailors began diligently working on these modifications.

Faye even took a page from Rowan’s book and posted an information-based product:

[How to Modify a Constant Temperature Suit into an Antitoxic Suit]

The sales volume was only a few thousand—not a massive amount—but it was enough for Faye to realize the benefits of such products. After all, every little bit of profit counted.

Faye wasn’t the only one; quite a few veteran resident players posted similar products to earn a handful of Trading Coins. It was better than nothing. However, these information-based products greatly benefited many players across the various districts, especially those in districts that lacked veteran residents.

They relied on these products to acquire crucial knowledge they otherwise wouldn’t have known. Even if their information network wasn’t as robust as the resident players’, they still gained enough insight to turn a profit alongside everyone else.

Consequently, although similar products weren’t sold directly in the Sea Survival Shop, a significant number of them popped up in the trading halls of various districts. This was particularly the case for air purifiers. Any player with a Level 7 Raft knew how to craft them.

However, given the large player population within a single district, relying on the Manufacturing output of just a few individuals was merely a drop in the bucket. The vast majority of players were still holding out for the massive batches of Equipment listed in the Sea Survival Shop.

With two days left until the natural disaster truly hit, the more Anti-toxic Equipment they had, the better.

At this moment, after verifying the Effect of the Equipment, Rowan began to set their prices. The moment the prices were finalized, the available stock began to plummet rapidly. In the blink of an eye, everything was completely sold out.

”Holy crap, what a bunch of shopaholics!”

”That Speed is way too fast!”

”Ahhh! I managed to grab one!”

”This price is actually lower than I expected.”

”Boohoo, I hope the big shots can make some more.”

”The prices in our district are higher than what the big shot set.”

”The profit margin in this must be massive!”

”I hope these top players step it up and produce more Anti-toxic Equipment.”

”Feels like our resources need to keep up too.”

”Then we just have to trade more in the trading hall.”

”I don’t know if anyone else has that poisoned debuff. I thought my health bar was thick enough that breathing in the toxic fog for a while wouldn’t matter. But after some time, I actually got poisoned! I urgently need an Antidote.”

”I’m poisoned too.”

”The Antidotes from earlier were gone in a flash. There were just too few of them.”

”Would the big shot have any Antidotes?”

”Definitely.”

”Where exactly do you even find that plant required for the Antidote recipe? If it can be farmed, that’d be a goldmine.”

”...”

Rowan was ecstatic as she watched the continuous flow of Trading Coins pouring back into her account! Upon seeing the World Channel in District 122 and the main chat group of the Sea Survival Shop begging for Antidotes, she immediately opened her inventory to check.
