While Everyone Panicked, I Upgraded My Raft

Chapter 102: Chapter 102: Rowan Rhodes Teaches You How to Produce Air Purifiers

Looking at the world channel, Rowan Rhodes realized that most players had noticed the air was toxic. It was obvious that many players were well-prepared and suffered minimal effects, while those who hadn’t prepared were already feeling the physical toll.

To this, Rowan Rhodes only had one thing to say: they had it coming! They weren’t beginners anymore. Having experienced two natural disasters, if they still didn’t take warnings to heart, she could only say she respected their personal choices and whatever fate had in store for them.

As the time ticked closer to 7 o’clock, Rowan Rhodes began sorting through the goods she planned to list on the market. What she cared about most were the air purifiers. Thanks to the continuous production from the Workbenches last night, the few hundred she originally had, and the ones sent by resident players from other districts, she now had over ten thousand air purifiers on hand. She had to admit, those resident players were quite dependable.

They would undoubtedly list air purifiers in their own district’s trading halls to stabilize their local situations or consolidate their status. However, almost every resident player also traded a portion of their air purifiers to the Sea Survival Shop. Rowan Rhodes hadn’t expected that a transaction born out of a simple warning would yield such massive returns.

She decided to list exactly 10,000 air purifiers for sale in the Sea Survival Shop. As for the remaining thousand or so, she planned to place them in District 122.

At this moment, the trading hall in District 122 was flooded with buy orders for air purifiers. Whenever an air purifier appeared, it was instantly bought out, the Speed even faster than last night. Naturally, after the recent ”verification” of the toxic air, the value of air purifiers had skyrocketed.

In addition, the prices for Engines, Steering Wheels, batteries, and oxygen bottles had also surged. Knowing that reaching Level 7 unlocked circuit boards, many players were desperate to upgrade their Level 6 rafts to Level 7 Rafts. This way, they could produce their own air purifiers—not just to save themselves, but also to sell for profit.

Rowan Rhodes had hoarded quite a few of these items as well. After confirming the quantities, she also added the light bulbs that began production last night. Furthermore, she included some resources from the Sea Survival Shop’s sales list to enrich the store’s inventory. She hadn’t done this before because she lacked Trading Coins, but now she had plenty and could afford to purchase some urgently needed resources.

Of course, the prices for this batch wouldn’t be low. At these rates, it was a willing seller and a willing buyer. If she were in an emergency, she would also be willing to spend a few extra Trading Coins for crucial resources. Once she finished making her selections, Rowan Rhodes listed everything right on time at 7 o’clock.

SWISH SWISH SWISH. A massive influx of new products instantly flooded the Sea Survival Shop’s page.

Having figured out the shop’s restock patterns over the past few days, players immediately began browsing and buying what they needed. The most eye-catching item was the air purifier. The quantity available was significantly larger than usual goods. However, this amount was merely a drop in the bucket compared to the massive player base. In less than a minute, all the goods were snatched up completely.

”You guys are too fast!”

”I didn’t manage to grab one!”

”Ten thousand seems like a lot, but in front of hundreds of millions of players, it’s a drop in the ocean.”

”The Sea Survival Shop feels a bit stingy!”

”Be glad they have them at all. Before, most players could only sell a few or a couple of dozen. Anyone who could sell a few hundred was a boss among bosses.”

”True, the amount of resources required for air purifiers is quite high.”

”The problem is, these air purifiers also suffer from Durability loss! Although their stats are decent right now, who knows how long they’ll last? Everyone needs to prepare at least a few for themselves!”

”Exactly! We have three days of this! The air quality is definitely going to get worse, which means we’ll definitely consume more air purifiers.”

”This is a market worth billions!”

”There are only a few hundred thousand Level 7 players right now. Their resources are limited, so they can’t mass-produce air purifiers either. In the end, it all comes down to resources.”

”Also, only a small fraction of players can list items in the Sea Survival Shop, which is why the shop’s inventory isn’t that large. By my estimation, it’s probably only a few hundred people contributing, and it was even fewer before!”

”If it’s a few hundred people, does that mean it only involves a few hundred districts?”

”Right! So in most districts, air purifiers will only circulate internally. As for districts with resident players, the amount they can share with the global shop is small anyway.”
