Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

186: Do I need to teach you this?Xu Weiming entered the office: ”Boss, I have something I want to talk about.”

Song Yushuo picked up his meal and sat down: ”Go ahead.”

Xu Weiming: ”Boss, I want a raise.”

Hearing the word ”raise,” Song Yushuo’s gaze darkened. The more people have, the greedier they get. This Xu Weiming was clearly asking for a raise at this time on purpose; did he think he was a soft persimmon that could be easily manipulated?

Song Yushuo: ”How much do you want?”

Xu Weiming didn’t ask for an unreasonable price. Based on his work ability, the projects he produced, and comparisons with his peers, Xu Weiming said: ”Boss, I want a three thousand yuan raise.”

Song Yushuo sneered inwardly. Three thousand yuan was nothing to him, but he couldn’t set this precedent.

If he gave three thousand today, he would dare to ask for thirty thousand tomorrow.

The viewers in the livestream room watched this scene with curiosity, wondering how Song Yushuo would handle an employee nearly twenty years older than himself.

Song Yushuo didn’t refuse directly but said first: ”I’ve been waiting for you to bring this up.”

Xu Weiming was apprehensive. Hearing this, he was slightly shocked. Did Song Yushuo actually agree? However, the next words let Xu Weiming know he was overthinking.

Song Yushuo: ”But I didn’t expect it to be at this time.”

”Brother Xu, evaluate your own recent work performance. Do you feel your management skills have improved?”

Xu Weiming: ”I think it’s been pretty good. The performance of the group I manage has been great.”

Song Yushuo first smiled, then gave a meaningful, long ”Hmm”: ”Really?”

This question instead made Xu Weiming lose his confidence.

Song Yushuo had been influenced by his father since he was a child. He might not know much else, but PUAing employees was etched into his bones, and he didn’t think there was anything wrong with it.

Song Yushuo: ”Brother Xu, I don’t think now is the right time. I’ve looked at your performance. Overall, it’s good, but it hasn’t reached an amazing level yet.”

Xu Weiming: ”But I doubled the company’s performance before.”

Song Yushuo: ”True, but in my view, that was everyone’s credit. The company also gave you full support. It’s not appropriate for you to take all the credit for yourself, is it?”

Song Yushuo seemed to be speaking up for other employees, making Xu Weiming feel more and more uncomfortable.

”Boss, I made a formal Military Pledge regarding performance back then. If I didn’t meet the target, I would bear all the consequences alone and leave the company. All the plans were made by me, and I haven’t rested for over half a year. It can’t be that I bear all the risks, but the honor must be shared with everyone.”

Song Yushuo: ”But without the company’s platform, you wouldn’t have been able to achieve these results either.”

Xu Weiming fell silent. Song Yushuo simply didn’t want to give him a raise.

Song Yushuo thought netizens would praise his leadership skills after seeing this, but he didn’t expect everyone to empathize with the employee.

[The employee works so hard, what’s wrong with a small raise?]

[My experience is exactly the same as this employee’s. How should I put it? It’s painful.]

[Are all bosses like this? It’s a bit of a turn-off.]

This segment wasn’t originally in the livestream content planned by Song Yushuo’s team. Song Yushuo’s aunt also didn’t expect this part to make everyone’s liking for Song Yushuo drop so much, so she immediately had the team spam positive comments.

Coincidentally, someone also came to Lu Qingyu to bring up a raise.

An employee entered Lu Qingyu’s office to discuss a raise. Lu Qingyu asked them to wait a moment while he went to the restroom.

In just that short while, Lu Qingyu’s livestream room was about to explode.

Because of Song Yushuo’s behavior, many viewers left his livestream and went to Lu Qingyu’s.

Encountering this plot point, everyone was a bit speechless.

[How come there’s an employee asking for a raise here too? I can’t bear to watch this part.]

[Getting hit twice in one day, I can’t take it.]

[All bosses in the world are the same. Lu Qingyu is no exception.]

Lu Qingyu’s fans were watching the livestream with interest when suddenly a bunch of naysayers arrived, saying a lot of nonsensical things.

[What’s going on? They haven’t even talked yet. How do you know Little Brother won’t give him a raise?]

[Have these people taken the wrong medicine?]

[Although I don’t understand what you’re saying, Little Brother will never let people down.]

At this time, Lu Qingyu returned from the restroom: ”Alright, go ahead.”

The employee sat opposite Lu Qingyu, holding a set of documents: ”Boss, I want a raise.”

Lu Qingyu: ”How much?”

The employee: ”Five thousand.”

After saying five thousand, the employee felt a bit guilty. However, this was an experience learned from a previous job—ask for more to give the boss room to negotiate.

He was already prepared to go back and forth with Lu Qingyu, but Lu Qingyu simply said: ”Okay.”

The employee’s hand, which was about to hand over the documents of his past performance, froze in mid-air.

??? Did he just mishear?

What did he hear?

Lu Qingyu said: ”It’ll count starting this month. Go find the Administration to get the slip approved yourself.”

The employee remembered what other employees had told him before he wanted to ask for a raise: don’t be afraid, just ask boldly, the boss is easy to talk to.

Holy crap, it was actually true!

Lu Qingyu was so straightforward that it shocked not only the employee but also the viewers in front of the screen.

[The process isn’t right, where’s the battle between the employee and the boss?]

[Ah, it’s approved just like that? Shouldn’t there be some bargaining?]

Lu Qingyu’s decisiveness made everyone wonder if he knew how to do business. Not only the netizens thought so, but the employee himself did too.

The employee foolishly asked a question that made Lu Qingyu laugh.

”Boss, why?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Why what?”

Employee: ”Give me a raise.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Didn’t you bring it up yourself?”

Employee: ”And you just agreed?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Your group’s performance was the champion last month, right? You created over 5 million in profit for the company. 5,000 yuan isn’t much.”

Employee: ”But the company needs money everywhere.”

Lu Qingyu: ”It’s not missing your 5,000! Besides, spending money is my business, what does it have to do with you?”

”Also, it’s not that I want to nag you, but you’re among the first batch of employees recruited since the company was founded. You can’t just stare at that little salary. You’re a Veteran now; you’re someone who can ask for dividends. Do I still need to teach you this?”

The employee’s eyes lit up like light bulbs: ”Then Boss, I want dividends.”

Lu Qingyu: ”No.”

Employee: ”??? Boss, didn’t you say I could ask for dividends?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Yes, but I didn’t say I would agree.”

Employee: !!!

[Strangely satisfying.]

[There’s definitely a reason why Little Brother is a boss at such a young age.]

[PUA bosses, come and see. This is how a normal person thinks.]

[My god, I really want my boss to watch this video.]

The power of this video was too great. Lu Qingyu’s livestream room already had 7.7 million people, while Song Yushuo’s only had over 500,000 left.

Before looking at the data, Song Yushuo was smug. After looking, his expression changed drastically.
