Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

172: Avatar is a huge hit!Klaus finally realized that he hadn’t been wearing his 3D glasses since the movie started, and he rubbed the tip of his nose in embarrassment.

He had been wondering why something felt off; the movie’s image quality was so blurry. He had assumed it was the result of the film company’s shoddy work, but it turned out to be his own fault.

However, after a reminder from the person next to him, Klaus immediately put on his glasses.

Yet, the moment he put the glasses on, the movie happened to reach the scene on the planet Pandora where tree spirits, resembling dandelion seeds, were drifting through the air and finally landing on the protagonist.

Klaus was stunned. The image quality before his eyes was both clear and realistic. He felt as if he were already on the planet Pandora, with those tree spirit seeds drifting right in front of him, as if he could reach out and touch them.

”My god, these special effects are so well done.”

Klaus couldn’t help but exclaim; he had never seen such a scene before.

No wonder the people around him had been gasping in surprise earlier.

It was worthy of a movie produced with 500 million dollars. He felt that words could no longer describe the shock this movie brought him.

The other moviegoers felt the same way. Besides the film critics in the front row, there were many other audience members behind them.

As a premiere, besides the film critics in the front row, the occupancy rate for the audience in the back was also 80%. Everyone had been captivated by the beautiful scenery of the planet Pandora.

When the movie finished, everyone was still wanting more.

Klaus couldn’t wait to express his love for this movie.

After walking out of the cinema, before even having time to go home, Klaus started writing his review in the lounge area outside the theater.

He hadn’t expected that Magic Paradise could actually produce such a high-quality work.

After one night, avatar blew up.

Su Jixing had watched the movie in the theater with everyone. This was a project he had executed independently, and he didn’t know what the final outcome would be. Fortunately, every audience member leaving the theater had a smile on their face.

And everyone leaving the theater was recommending the film to those around them, with some even planning to watch it a second time.

There hadn’t been any good films in the movie market for a while. avatar premiered at this time and, with such high quality, completely crushed all other films in the same period. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say it monopolized the market.

Under these circumstances, avatar broke 100 million dollars at the box office in just three days.

When peers saw these figures, they were insanely jealous.

They couldn’t believe it; how had Magic Paradise suddenly become so capable!

As the head of the special effects team for this film, Avis was going crazy with happiness.

His mood had been on a roller coaster during this time, from initially thinking the company was going bankrupt and he would lose his job, to the company being acquired and him keeping his job, and then to thinking this new boss was unreliable, only for the boss to ultimately slap all of their faces with concrete actions.

Lu Qingyu even gave each of them an extra 100,000 dollars as a bonus.

Although this boss was young, he had courage, capability, and a unique vision. It was the first time Avis had admired a student under 20 years old so much.

avatar’s subsequent box office performance soared. After half a month, statistics showed global box office earnings exceeded 1.6 billion dollars; Lu Qingyu had made a fortune once again!

As the first work since he took over as the boss of Magic Paradise, Lu Qingyu had achieved such great results, so naturally, he had to celebrate with everyone.

Su Jixing suggested: ”Boss, tomorrow is the weekend. Why don’t we all go out for a team-building event?”

Lu Qingyu thought this was a good idea. He had been too busy before and had never treated the company staff to a meal; taking this opportunity to make up for it would be perfect.

Lu Qingyu: ”Brother Su, you handle the arrangements. The company will cover all expenses.”

The company now had 21 employees. Su Jixing sent the news to everyone. As soon as they heard the boss was treating them to a meal and they could go out to play, everyone was ecstatic and started offering suggestions.

”There is a particularly delicious Thai restaurant in California.”

”I recommend a steakhouse in Florida, plus they have their own home-brewed beer.”

”Florida? There are no idle people there. I’m afraid if we go, we won’t be able to come back, so let’s forget it.”

”Can we do some activities after we finish eating?”

The employees submitted what they wanted to eat and where they wanted to go. Finally, everyone voted to have a seafood feast at a hotel in California, and after the meal, they could go play CS.

Su Jixing contacted the hotel and made a reservation, and the next day, the whole company went together.

Today the boss was treating, so the employees didn’t hold back when ordering. Each person got a lobster weighing over 2 pounds, and black gold abalone bigger than a face, sliced and eaten raw on the spot.

There was also a whole tuna just caught, which the chef dissected and prepared on the spot.

Hans had only watched others eat these things before; it was his first time eating them himself, and he couldn’t keep his eyes off everything.

”This is so delicious! Team leader, team building is so wonderful. I really envy you guys; you get to eat like this at least twice a year.”

Avis smacked Hans on the back of the head, almost knocking the crab leg out of his mouth.

”What are you thinking? Do you think every boss is like Lu?”

Let’s put it this way: their previous boss was also decent, but team building had to be split 50/50. If the boss treated, it would just be cola, burgers, and fries.

If Lu Qingyu weren’t paying for today’s meal, they wouldn’t have dared to order like this.

”Just that lobster from earlier, one was 560 dollars.”

Hans’s eyes widened. He hadn’t even earned 560 dollars a month at his previous job.

”That’s too expensive!”

Avis: ”That’s why it’s good. If there’s anything else you want to eat, order it quickly.”

Hans immediately grabbed the menu to find the waiter; he thought he had seen a 5-pound lobster!

Everyone had a very happy meal. Lu Qingyu symbolically ate some steak; as long as everyone was happy, that was enough.

Su Jixing had reserved the CS game for 3 PM. After eating, everyone drove to the game site. This CS venue was quite famous, and many celebrities had come to play there.

Because Su Jixing had booked a late time and they had a large group, the game company opened up a newly developed hill for them.

They drove for two hours to a service station to change into camouflage uniforms, drew lots to divide into red, blue, and yellow teams, were issued guns with blank rounds, and were given satellite GPS and chest cameras.

The grounds here were quite large, and without GPS, people could easily get lost. The staff sent the teams into the game area separately.

The teams competed in a points-based game. There were 50 civilian cards, 30 terrorist cards, and 20 hostage cards set up in the mountains. Whichever of the three teams had the highest score would win.

During the game, characters from different teams could attack each other. It was also Lu Qingyu’s first time playing a game with such realistic equipment and settings.
