Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

175: He is my dadLu Qingyu dodged and discovered that the wall panel behind him was broken.

”Damn, weren’t these supposed to be blanks? How could they have such strong power?”

The next moment, the other two people also reacted and raised their weapons at Lu Qingyu: ”Who are you?”

Lu Qingyu was caught off guard for a moment: ”I’m Blue Team?”

The three foreigners assumed he was someone hired by Moray’s father to rescue him, and thinking Blue Team was some newly emerged organization, they opened fire without hesitation.

The barrage of real bullets forced Lu Qingyu out of the cabin, and only then did he realize, damn, these are real kidnappers.

This wasn’t some NPC at all; he had actually run into real kidnappers.

One of the kidnappers quickly contacted Harry: ”That old guy found someone to save his son.”

Harry, who was on his way back, changed his expression upon hearing this. Their hideout was so well-hidden, yet it was still found by Moray’s father; that old guy had some skills.

He thought he was quite honest, but it turned out everything before was just a facade. It seemed he needed to be taught a lesson.

Harry dialed the phone number of Moray’s father.

Moray’s father received another contact and nervously picked up the phone: ”Hello, how is my son? I want to hear my son speak.”

Harry sneered: ”You actually dared to disobey us and find someone to save your son, huh? Playing tricks on us, are you? Now our demands have changed. Have 1.2 billion ready and transferred to our account before 12:00 tonight. If we don’t see the money, you’ll be seeing your son’s corpse tonight.”

Harry knew they might have been exposed and needed to settle this quickly. He told his accomplices to drive back fast; they had to relocate the hostage.

The situation on Lu Qingyu’s side was quite critical. The kidnappers’ firepower was fierce, and they wouldn’t let him leave alive. Lu Qingyu knew this too; he felt like an arrow on a bowstring, he had no choice but to act.

His weapon had blanks, so there was no way to compete with this group in terms of firepower, and the wall panels of the cabin in front of him were about to be shot to pieces.

Lu Qingyu quickly circled to the back of the cabin; the window wasn’t big, but it was enough for him to jump in.

The three kidnappers had been shooting outside the door for a while. Unsure if Lu Qingyu had been shot to death by their random gunfire, they stopped firing and cautiously moved toward the outside of the house.

It was at this moment that Lu Qingyu leaped in directly through the back window.

The three men hadn’t expected Lu Qingyu to crash in from the back. Taking advantage of one of them being unable to react in time, he used a sharp-pointed wooden stick to stab directly into that person’s leg.

The moment it pierced the flesh, the other two heard their teammate’s howl and raised their weapons to continue shooting, but Lu Qingyu performed a sliding tackle, knocking both of them down at once.

He immediately snatched the weapon from one of them and then, in one fluid motion, shot each of the three men in the thigh.

Blood immediately stained their pants red, and the three men instantly lost their combat capability.

”F*ck, who the hell are you?”

The three guessed that since Lu Qingyu’s combat power was so strong, could he be a mercenary?

Lu Qingyu didn’t waste words with them; he knocked each of them out first.

Heh, you might not believe it if I told you, but I’m just passing by.

To prevent them from waking up and chasing him, Lu Qingyu found a rope in the house and tied the three men up.

At this moment, Moray’s eyes were full of terror; he was left with nothing but fear.

Lu Qingyu walked in front of Moray and untied the rope.

”Don’t be afraid, I’m purely a good guy, just passing by and acting out of chivalry.”

”You can go now.”

After saying this, Lu Qingyu walked out of the cabin first, planning to return to the base to call the police.

However, as he walked, he felt something was a bit off. He looked back and saw that Moray was only two steps away from him.

???

Why are you following me? Shouldn’t you hurry home?

Moray didn’t speak, his eyes fixed tightly on Lu Qingyu. Wherever Lu Qingyu walked, he followed, and he always maintained a distance of two steps from Lu Qingyu.

Right now, this person was a savior in his eyes; only by staying by his side did he feel a sense of security.

Lu Qingyu thought for a moment and said:

”Oh, right, do you not have a phone? I’ll lend you mine.”

Lu Qingyu took out his phone, and just as he was about to hand it to Moray, he discovered that the phone was out of power and had shut down on its own.

!!!

He awkwardly took the phone back and then said: ”Wait a moment, my phone is off, but I have a walkie-talkie.”

Everyone at the game base, except for Lu Qingyu, had returned there.

”Why hasn’t the boss returned yet?”

Su Jixing was a bit worried and asked the people at the game base: ”Are you sure there are no tigers, lions, bears, or anything like that in these mountains?”

The people at the game base replied: ”Rest assured, our mountain has protective measures on the perimeter.”

Su Jixing was still worried. He picked up the walkie-talkie wanting to ask where Lu Qingyu was, but before he could speak, Lu Qingyu’s voice came from the other side.

”Hello, hello, is anyone there?”

Su Jixing: ”Yes, yes, Qingyu, where are you now? We’ll find someone to pick you up.”

Lu Qingyu: ”I ran into kidnappers and just rescued a hostage.”

Su Jixing: !!! ”Brother, your addiction to this is too strong. Even if you don’t rescue the hostage, Blue Team has already won.”

Su Jixing thought the kidnappers and hostage Lu Qingyu mentioned were part of the game. They did have a few hostages left to find, but it was already dark, and the winner had already been decided, so there was no need to waste time here.

”Alright, boss, I got it. Hurry back. I’ve booked a luxury cruise for the evening; let’s go out to sea to eat, drink, and have fun.”

Lu Qingyu: ”I really did rescue a hostage, in a dilapidated cabin over here.”

”I also caught three kidnappers. You need to call the police for me, track my current location, and get the police to come quickly. I’ve tied up the kidnappers.”

Su Jixing: You’re really acting out your role-play, aren’t you?

”Alright boss, I’ll call the police now. It’s too dangerous outside; I’ll send a car to pick you up.”

Turning off the walkie-talkie, Lu Qingyu said to Moray: ”Come back with me. There’s a phone at the base; you can call your family.”

Moray nodded, and at the same time, moved one step closer to Lu Qingyu.

Lu Qingyu walked with Moray for two minutes when a car came toward them. Lu Qingyu thought it was people from the base and waved his arms to greet them.

Who knew that Moray would suddenly grab his arm tightly.

”Run, run.”

Lu Qingyu: ???

But it was too late. The people in the car had gotten out, and now there were four weapons pointed at them.

Lu Qingyu was speechless: ”Why didn’t you tell me these kidnappers had accomplices?”

Having gone through the torture of the past two days, plus being scared, Moray had long forgotten about these things.

Harry raised his weapon and approached Lu Qingyu:

”You’re the one that old man hired?”

”You really don’t take us seriously, only finding one person.”

Lu Qingyu raised his hands: ”No, I’m not. You’ve got the wrong person.”

Harry sneered; this joke wasn’t funny at all.

He turned his head and asked Moray: ”Who is this person?”

Moray was too scared to move: ”Dad.”

Harry: ???

Lu Qingyu: ???

Harry’s expression became meaningful. A biological father?

”You are his dad?”

Lu Qingyu looked back and said to Moray: ”Don’t call me that randomly.”

”Our races are different, can’t you tell?”

Harry, disgusted by their dishonesty, fired a shot into the air: ”Do you want to die now or what?”

Moray: ”I’ve never seen him by my dad’s side.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Damn!”
