The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 498: Chapter 211: Top-grade Classical Literature (Part Three)_2

”That’s right! Tiantian, I just knew someone as clever as you would definitely spot the problem!”

Student Xiao D timely delivered some flattery, and then said, ”This book entered the Dian Niang Book Library’s ’My Great Country Dream’ writing competition, but its content turned out to be mostly about minor romances.”

”National love and ethnic righteousness are merely glossed over. Although it doesn’t cross any lines, the readers are not happy!”

”It’s like hanging a sheep’s head to sell dog meat, disguising itself with ’technological power’, but just having the male lead and female lead engage in romance without a hint of career development, so the readers just filed complaints!”

As a result, the work was blocked and had to undergo system correction.

So He Tiantian the writer experienced this book-crossing journey.

He Tiantian:...

Well, this is a common ailment among many authors and editors, be it workplace fiction or business warfare fiction, it’s just a fancy facade.

If you look closely at the content, it’s filled with a lot of love and hate between protagonists and supporting characters.

Instead of focusing on their careers and diligently producing content in specialized fields, it seems as if that group of people have forgotten how to.

Okay, even if there has to be talk of love, aren’t familial and friendship types of love too? Does it have to be sickeningly sweet, entangled romantic love?

There are many scripts that start off amazingly, and if they were filmed according to the title, the readers or audience would definitely be on board.

But as you keep watching, everything goes back to romance again, completely spoiling a good theme.

As a reader or viewer, He Tiantian couldn’t help but want to puke when encountering such situations.

That feeling was like eating a lump of crap covered in sugar coating.

The initial sweetness only made the later disgust all the worse.

”...So, Tiantian, all you need to do is stick to the theme and build a great country dream for the readers, and you’ll have completed your task!”

Student Xiao D tried hard to persuade her, ”Of course, the original character’s design is quite exasperating, but I believe you can find a way to fix it!”

Student Xiao D didn’t say ”whitewash”.

After all, having been partners with He Tiantian for a while, Student Xiao D understood her.

It seemed that Tiantian quite rejected the idea of redeeming villains.

Although sometimes she had to play word games to accomplish a task, He Tiantian would never make excuses for the original character’s past wrongdoings.

When you’re wrong, you’re wrong. You should make amends where amends are due, apologize when you should, but she absolutely refused to forcibly whitewash!

Hardships?

No alternative?

None of these are excuses for the wicked to do evil.

Hurting others is a sin, and when you’ve done wrong, you must admit it. He Tiantian was very firm on this point.

”Okay, I accept this mission!”

He Tiantian fell silent for a moment, then said with conviction.

In her heart, she began to plan how to whitewash the original character.

Yes, Student Xiao D was wrong this time; He Tiantian had a change of heart, she began to look for excuses for the original character’s top-grade behavior.

This was something He Tiantian realized in the previous world—whitewashing, at times, was not for the original character, but for their families, or even for those they had harmed!

Like in the Savior script, where He Tiantian became the scumbag He Xiaotian, she didn’t whitewash He Xiaotian.

No matter when, she never denied the various crimes committed by the original character.

Although she helped the original character make extensive amends and gave away all her accumulated ”Savior” merit to those unjustly deceased ghosts.

But, those victims or their families still suffered.

Because ”He Xiaotian” became the Savior, she made everyone strong and provided everyone a safe and stable living environment.

On that account, ”He Xiaotian” was benevolent to them.

Yet, this person had also harmed them in the past.

The victims or their families were very conflicted, not sure whether to be grateful to this ”benefactor” or to hate her for her past evil deeds?

Even though later, He Tiantian took the stance of allowing everyone to seek vengeance, ”He Xiaotian” didn’t die, he didn’t pay the price for his sins!

Many victims and their families struggled with this dilemma, in anguish, for a long time.

And if at that time He Tiantian had made up an excuse for the original character, like split personality or possession by an Evil Ghost and the later ”He Xiaotian” had devoured the Divine Soul that did evil.

Whether everyone believed it or not, it would at least be a consolation for those who harbored deep grudges, victims and their families.

They needn’t carry a heavy burden, and they could truly reconcile with ”He Xiaotian”!

Then take this script’s character, for instance. The point in the story where He Tiantian crossed over was neither bad nor good.
