The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 473: Chapter 203 Scum of Spy Literature (Part 7)

”Comrade Swan Goose, Old Feng has confirmed that the guest residing in room 207 of the Binjiang Inn is very likely to be that courier!”

At the orphanage, a middle-aged woman who looked like a helper, whispered to Qu Anni while distributing food to the children.

”Very well, what does the organization think? Should we eliminate him?”

Qu Anni, with her head bowed and a warm smile on her lips, softly told the children to ”be careful, it’s hot,” ”drink slowly,” all the while speaking in hushed tones to the middle-aged woman.

”Old Feng has already asked for instructions, the higher-ups said that for such a shameful traitor who betrayed the revolution, severe punishment is necessary.”

The middle-aged woman appeared kind and compassionate, but in her eyes, a sharp cold light flickered.

They were all comrades in arms on Qu Anni’s front, each with their own secret identities.

According to the rules, they were to contact only through isolated lines, knowing only their own immediate superiors and subordinates.

Qu Anni’s subordinate was this middle-aged woman.

However, Qu Anni had a special identity; not only was she a member of this cell, but she also had a special mission—as the courier for the senior spy Huo Miao.

She could use the Sugawara’s radio to send messages to the organization, and she also reported related information about Huo Miao to the organization.

Qu Anni’s importance was obvious.

For the comrade Huo Miao was a spy that the organization had with much difficulty infiltrated into the high ranks of Japan’s Intelligence Agency.

His identity was known only to the headquarters and to Qu Anni herself.

Unfortunately, that courier captured by the Shadow Organization came from the headquarters, and he had vaguely heard some intelligence.

During his confession, he told everything about ”Swan Goose” and ”Huo Miao” to Lv Yaohua and a bunch of other traitors.

Learning that there was actually a member of the Red Party within their ranks, and apparently not a low-ranking one, Ding Moran, the deputy director and action team leader of the Shadow Organization, gave it high priority.

He secretly arranged for Lv Yaohua to hide this traitor, on one hand, continuing to use him to fish for Swan Goose, while on the other hand deliberately leaking Wind Sound, hoping to lure out the big snake Huo Miao to expose himself willingly.

Regrettably, the plan to capture Swan Goose failed. Qu Anni was extremely alert and noticed something wrong in the teahouse. Out of caution, she did not approach to make contact with the traitor.

She simply passed by him.

The traitor had never seen Swan Goose; he only knew she was a woman and the specific code for making contact.

Lv Yaohua waited with the operatives of Action Team Three in the teahouse for most of the day to no avail, and after being furious, he quickly calmed down.

It must be said, although Lv Yaohua was a shameless traitor, his personal ability was indeed not bad.

He originated from the Central Intelligence Bureau, which had always dealt with the Red Party, and was very familiar with the Red Party’s ways.

He began a carpet search centered around the teahouse and arrested all the individuals he deemed suspicious.

After much trouble, he actually found some clues.

An amateur photographer had inadvertently captured the back of a qipao-clad beauty, which immediately gave Lv Yaohua a clue—this woman was heading directly toward the Red Party traitor.

For some reason, she suddenly turned a corner just before approaching him.

But Lv Yaohua didn’t care about the specifics; his intuition told him this woman was a problem.

He then, based on the qipao’s fabric and pattern in the photo, began a thorough investigation in several well-known tailor shops.

Mrs. Sugawara Qu Anni became one of the suspects on Lv Yaohua’s list!

What followed was the arrest at home, and then ”Sugawara Kosuke” erupted, and the whole affair came to nothing.

Qu Anni’s crisis had passed for the moment, but as long as that shameful traitor was not eliminated, there would still be potential dangers.

Huo Miao also sent a message to Qu Anni: ”... Since that person has heard of me, he is either from headquarters or an old party member from years back.”

Such individuals, well-acquainted with the Red Party’s spy activities, would be very likely to use their knowledge of contacts to help the Japanese and puppet regime capture other comrades.

The traitor must die.

Not just to deter the Japanese and puppets, but even more to protect other Hidden operatives.

”Good, just confirming the traitor’s hideout is enough!”

Qu Anni had originally thought it would be very difficult to find this traitor, possibly even requiring the comrade Huo Miao to make an appearance.

That would have greatly increased the risk of exposure.

Fortunately, she had a husband who mixed in with the Shadow Organization’s daily life and because of this—

”Old Feng has already contacted a few comrades; they have guns and are all quite skillful. We will take action in the next couple of days!”
