The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 463: Chapter 199 Scum of Spy Literature (Part 3)_3

He Haotian thought more and more that his plan was feasible—replacing Sugawara Kosuke and living a good life with his Devil uncle!

Once He Haotian formulated the plan, he set the body of Sugawara Kosuke on fire and buried the ashes in the backyard.

Then, holding Sugawara Kosuke’s identification and a letter written by Major Sugawara, he hurried all the way to Shanghai.

”No wonder He Haotian doesn’t dare to show off at the Shadow Organization, because he’s an impostor!”

Seeing this, He Tiantian couldn’t help but complain.

Also, feeling guilty, when He Haotian found Major Sugawara, he didn’t dare to get too close to this Devil uncle.

He feared that too much contact would allow the man to spot inconsistencies.

If he were exposed, his life would be in danger.

After all, He Haotian couldn’t even speak Japanese. He knew, at most, a few everyday expressions.

He had an excuse: having come to Hua Country with his parents since childhood, and having spoken the Hua language all these years, he eventually forgot Japanese.

This excuse, however, wasn’t very credible.

Mother tongue, mother tongue—what’s a mother tongue? It’s something rooted deep in memory.

How could one easily forget that?

Even if young, one might forget some, but definitely not to the extent He Haotian did.

However, either Major Sugawara was easy to fool, or did not care much about a cheap nephew, so he didn’t make an issue out of it.

Seeing the identification and letter He Haotian carried with him, he recognized his nephew and then arranged a job for him at the Shadow Organization.

He Haotian felt that Major Sugawara was indifferent towards him, and having already felt insecure, he became even more timid once he arrived at the Shadow Organization.

Despite having the identity of a Japanese man, he always appeared subservient, even the traitorous lackeys did not respect him.

He Haotian was insignificant at the Shadow Organization, but he was still a person from Japan and from the Shadow Organization.

In other’s eyes, he was seen as a somewhat influential Devil.

Take Qu Annie, for instance, a former spy for the Guo Party.

Qu Annie was originally an aspiring student and, wanting to serve her country, joined the Guo Party’s Youth Training Class, becoming a beautiful spy.

At that time, the Shadow Organization had just been established, but it had caused great harm to the Guo Party, Red Party, progressive people, and other anti-Japanese forces.

The Guo Army Intelligence had someone infiltrate the inside of the Shadow Organization, only to have the infiltrator exposed by a traitor of the Central Intelligence Bureau, and several spies either died under brutal torture or became traitors out of sheer endurance.

Direct infiltration being unrealistic, the Guo Party then thought of other methods, such as using a honey trap.

Sugawara Kosuke was thus placed on the Guo Army Intelligence scrutiny list.

In the end, the high command of the Guo Army Intelligence decided to send a beautiful spy to get close to Sugawara Kosuke to gather intelligence through him.

Qu Annie was selected, and she managed to meet He Haotian by chance and became his lover.

Although He Haotian was not held in high regard in the Shadow Organization, he was with these circles and occasionally came into contact with some intelligence.

Qu Annie indeed got some valuable information from him.

Tasting success, the Guo Army Intelligence instructed further, advising Qu Annie to marry He Haotian so she could get more and faster intelligence.

Obeying the higher command’s instructions, Qu Annie married He Haotian and, using Mrs. Sugawara’s identity, started contacting the traitors in the Shadow Organization and their families.

Thus, Qu Annie smoothly acquired more intelligence.

However, the actions of Guo Army Intelligence were always ruthless, filled with corruption, power, and other personal desires.

One time, Qu Annie risked her life to save a ”big shot”.

It was only afterward that she found out he was not an anti-Japanese hero, but just a wealthy troublemaker.

He had been caught in Shanghai not for his country or people but because of a social butterfly over whom he was fighting and raging...

Because of such a debauchee who indulged in food, drinks, prostitution, and gambling, several of Qu Annie’s comrades had died on the spot.

This event greatly impacted Qu Annie, leaving her somewhat disillusioned—was this really serving her country?

For such a decrepit organization, she disregarded her life, sacrificed her lifelong happiness—was it worth it?

Later, during a perilous mission, Qu Annie was abandoned by the higher-ups but was rescued by comrades from the Communist Party.

Qu Annie read the ”Communist Manifesto” and personally experienced the honesty, openness, fearlessness, and readiness to sacrifice of the Red Party!

Actually, aside from everything else, as both are spy agencies, the Guo Party advocated doing anything for the sake of the mission.

But the Red Party had its own bottom line and insistences: no seduction, no assassination.

They would not make women sacrifice themselves for the so-called mission!

Her thoughts completely transformed, she secretly joined the Red Party.

From being a mere Guo Party spy, she became a double-agent...
