The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 480: Chapter 205 Scum of Spy Literature (Part 9)_2

Qu Anni couldn’t help but feel somewhat excited, her husband was not Japanese but one of their own compatriots!

She no longer had to struggle, she would never be on guard or doubtful again!

Perhaps because she had lifted a great weight from her heart, when the western clock downstairs struck three times again, Qu Anni finally leaned against the headboard and fell soundly asleep.

With soft snores sounding, the sleeping He Tiantian, who buried her head under the covers, abruptly opened her eyes.

Catching a glimpse of Qu Anni’s sleeping face from the corner of her eye, He Tiantian slowly closed her eyes again, this time, she really fell asleep.

”... so, he isn’t really Japanese but rather a Hua Country orphan who assumed someone else’s identity?”

Qu Anni was so excited that she took the initiative to contact her superior, Huo Miao.

Huo Miao, real name Shen Yan, was a triple agent: National Military Council, Vice Chief of the Japanese Puppet Intelligence Department, and a senior agent of the Red Party.

In his early thirties, he was handsome and tall, wore gold-rimmed glasses, and possessed the demeanor of a university professor.

But he was not weak, as the male lead in a spy novel, Shen Yan was a Huangpu graduate, skilled both in literature and martial arts, an expert marksman who also mastered Japanese and German, with an astonishing talent for decrypting codes.

At the Military Council, he came from an esteemed direct lineage of school principals and even the seat holder held him in high regard.

In the Shadow Organization, he befriended Mechanism Chief Ying Zuo during their studies in Germany and was invited to join Shadow Organization as a cryptographic expert due to their close personal relationship.

In the Red Party, needless to say, his security clearance was extremely high, and headquarters had even assigned him a dedicated communicator.

Shen Yan was meticulous and cautious, able to seamlessly switch between his three identities. He adhered to his beliefs, handling himself with ease even amongst wolves.

He had obtained a wealth of secret information for the Red Party, personally destroyed the Devil’s munitions depot, intercepted a devoted journalist’s film reels documenting the Nanjing Massacre, and sabotaged the Japanese puppet’s counterfeit printing plates...

The author’s writing was exceptionally good, the story ingeniously crafted; Shen Yan resolved each major case and crisis perfectly.

He was like a god-mode heroic lead in the story, giving readers an understanding of the dangers and hardships of that special period while also providing a thrillingly satisfying experience.

Of course, battles cannot occur without victories, nor without sacrifices.

And rendering this tragic atmosphere were a few key supporting characters—

The Red Party soldier who died by suicide to protect Shen Yan.

The Guo Party agent who died heroically covering Shen Yan’s escape.

For...

Of course, the most tragic and heart-wrenching of all was Shen Yan’s communicator, Swan Goose Qu Anni.

Enduring unbearable torture, she did not utter a single word; not only did she die a cruel death, but her son, only one week old, also tragically perished.

The author had portrayed Qu Anni’s character very fully, reducing many readers to tears after reading her story.

Many readers were indignant, feeling that Qu Anni should not have had such a tragic end.

Thus, came He Tiantian’s time-traveling.

Of course, this is the God’s Eye View narration, and as the male lead in the script, Shen Yan did not know these things.

From Qu Anni’s descriptions, as well as his usual observations of Sugawara Kosuke, he had formed a rough impression.

Shen Yan even guessed some truths: ”No wonder Sugawara Kosuke was so hesitant and skittish before; it wasn’t due to cowardice, but guilt!”

Hearing Shen Yan say this, Qu Anni couldn’t help but curl her lips slightly, ”Exactly! I guessed as much. It’s probably because Lv Yaohua came to our house to arrest someone that day, and it really rattled him...”

”Right, these days, I’ve noticed he often hides in the study, muttering to himself while studying Japanese!”

”He’s learning Japanese? Haha, quite cunning!” Shen Yan interlocked his fingers, seeming in quite a good mood.

”Sugawara Kosuke” is ”He Haotian,” which is good news.

Although together in the Shadow Organization, there was a fundamental difference between Shen Yan and Sugawara Kosuke—Shen Yan was Hua Country people, while Sugawara Kosuke was Japanese, with an uncle who was a Junior Major!

On the surface, Shen Yan held a higher status and rank than Sugawara Kosuke.

But should any accident occur, or if a secret task was at hand, it was possible for Sugawara Kosuke to be informed, whereas Mechanism Chief Ying Zuo would definitely not allow Shen Yan near such matters.

That’s the harsh reality: the Devils will never truly trust the Hua Country people!

No matter how fervently and sincerely they acted, their inherent coldness and brutality could never be changed.

Thus, having ”He Haotian” as an additional line was immensely beneficial for their intelligence gathering.

”But still, don’t let your guard down too easily, stay vigilant as you should!”
