The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 481: Chapter 205 Scum of Spy Literature (Part 9)_3

Shen Yan was meticulous in his actions. Although he was pleased with He Haotian’s identity, he still cautioned Qu Anni, ”Before confirming He Haotian’s true intentions, do not reveal any flaws!”

”You can count on me, I understand!” Covert work, secrecy is the top priority.

Parents, partners, even children—what shouldn’t be disclosed, mustn’t be disclosed!

”There’s something that you need to report to headquarters.”

Once He Haotian’s situation was addressed, Shen Yan remembered the pressing matter and hurriedly added, ”The courier sent by headquarters has had an issue, this needs to be reported carefully. Then, please ask headquarters to send another courier.”

”Also, that courier should have carried a document, I have investigated this at the Shadow Organization and found that the document has fallen into Inukai Ken’s hands, and seems to be related to the bacteria troops in the Northeast.”

”This matter is very critical, we must retrieve the documents. I will continue to investigate, and you, try to find out more from He Haotian.”

Shen Yan issued the orders one by one, and Qu Anni listened attentively.

Finally, she nodded firmly, ”Okay, I understand!”

”Bacterial warfare is an absolute violation of international conventions and a crime against humanity, we need to get hold of that document and expose the true face of the Devil to the world.”

Shen Yan’s words were meant as much for Qu Anni as they were to encourage himself.

The mission was undoubtedly tough but of great importance; they had to find a way to complete it.

”Yes!” Qu Anni nodded forcefully again.

”Stay safe—the mission is important, but you are more important!”

The past incidents, although resolved, still caused Shen Yan to break out in a cold sweat.

Just how risky the Shadow Organization was, he knew all too well.

For a comrade like Qu Anni, if she ever fell into the hands of devils like Lv Yaohua, she would be tormented severely.

Fortunately, He Haotian, who was nervous about masquerading as a Japanese, finally toughened up for the sake of his wife and child.

He not only protected Qu Anni but also seemed to have ”Awakened.”

Although ”his” style was bizarre, seeming to go from one extreme to the other—a timid, fringe figure transformed into a ruffian strutting around the Shadow Organization, massively extorting and blackmailing traitors and gang members.

But, inadvertently, He Haotian punished the traitors, and a portion of the amassed wealth also ended up with the Red Party.

Overall, it looked like things were moving in a favorable direction.

Shen Yan had a hunch: This He Haotian might bring even more surprises.

Leaving the rendezvous cafe, Qu Anni picked up her child from the Orphanage and handed the two gold bars she had saved up over the half month to Aunt Liu.

On the surface, Aunt Liu worked in the Orphanage, usually responsible for cooking, laundry, but in fact, she was under Qu Anni.

”The day is getting colder, take these to buy some cotton clothes and food for the comrades in the mountains.”

After entrusting Aunt Liu with the task, Qu Anni left the Orphanage with her child.

Aunt Liu held the gold bars tightly, nodded vigorously, and figured out where to buy supplies and through which channels to send them out of the city.

Qu Anni, with her child, bought some vegetables on the way home and found her husband sober, sitting on the sofa staring blankly when she entered.

Hearing the door, He Tiantian quickly looked up, ”Annie, did you go to the Orphanage again?”

”Yes, I donated some money to the Orphanage. Haojie, you... you don’t mind, do you?” Qu Anni spoke tenderly.

”I don’t mind. The money given to you is yours, spend it however you want. If it’s not enough, just ask me for more!”

He Tiantian waved his hand with the lavishness of a nouveau riche, not minding these matters in the slightest.

However, seeing Qu Anni enter the kitchen, he hesitated for a moment but followed her in.

Then he asked hesitantly, ”Annie, I, I was drunk last night, I didn’t say any nonsense, did I?”

Qu Anni’s hand paused while holding the basket, then placed the basket down calmly.

She spoke softly, ”No, you fell asleep after drinking. Mainly because I was also tired, I slept quite deeply.”

So, even if her husband had spoken ”in his dreams,” she had not heard it.

Reading between the lines of Qu Anni’s, He Tiantian deliberately sighed in relief.

Qu Anni, realizing the truth, couldn’t help but smile secretly.

”By the way, in a few days it’s my uncle’s birthday, because it’s his fiftieth, a few of us juniors thought we should help him celebrate properly...”

He Tiantian rambled on.

Qu Anni’s eyes lit up,” His birthday banquet, will it invite colleagues from the organization and friends from the military?”

Even though Inukai Ken didn’t get along with Sugawara Ichiro, they hadn’t completely fallen out.

If Sugawara Ichiro were to hold a grand birthday, as a ”colleague” from the Shadow Organization, Inukai must attend.

Perhaps, she would have an opportunity to find out where the documents were...
