The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 486: Chapter 207: Scum of the Spy Warfare Genre (Part 11)_2

Quickly, Shen Yan found that his expectations were indeed correct, and there was even a bigger surprise in store.

A month later, He Tiantian returned from Jinling, looking glossy and well nourished.

”This is the treason agreement signed between Wang Quxian and Japan, the specific meeting summary, several key points of the agreement, all here!”

The next day, Qu Anni proactively contacted Huo Miao, taking out a roll of microfilm from her handbag, ”Comrade Huo Miao, please verify this.”

Shen Yan took the microfilm, gently unrolled it, and then brought out a magnifying glass to examine it closely.

He was a member of the intelligence division of the Special Agent Department and had come into contact with some related situations.

However, given his rank and identity, he still could not access the specific meeting documents.

He had a general idea in mind, and upon seeing more detailed information, he could discern its authenticity.

After examining several frames carefully, he slowly nodded, ”Yes, it should be real!”

He looked up, rolled up the microfilm, and asked in a deep voice, ”Where did this come from?”

”He Haotian took it!”

Qu Anni’s lips curled into a smile as she explained, ”Here’s what happened, he took advantage of his position to secretly photograph the meeting summary, planning to sell it on the intelligence market.”

Normally, He Haotian would keep such matters hidden from Qu Anni.

But how could he resist when He Tiantian was ”overconfident.”

After a few glasses of red wine, clinging to a ”golden leg,” a promotion, and obtaining important intelligence that he could sell, He Tiantian excitedly showed off the microfilm to his wife in his enthusiasm.

Qu Anni was pleasantly surprised, yet she still had to feign disinterest, casually brushing it off.

Once He Tiantian fell asleep, Qu Anni hurriedly took the microfilm to find Shen Yan.

”I’ll develop the photos now, then you place the microfilm back without letting He Haotian discover it!”

Shen Yan checked the time, not daring to delay, and quickly rushed to the darkroom to develop a set of photos.

Then he reorganized the microfilm and handed it back to Qu Anni, ”Try to have him sell this intelligence after two more days.”

In addition, Shen Yan passed a file bag containing photographs and other documents to Qu Anni, ”Headquarters has dispatched a new courier. Pay attention to the radio broadcasts these days, the specific rendezvous location and contact methods will be made clear on the radio.”

”Got it! I know!”

Qu Anni grasped the file bag, speaking softly, ”I’ll also quickly retrieve that document that fell into the Devil’s hands, and let the courier take it back to headquarters!”

After saying this, she sighed, ”It’s a pity, the recent birthday party for Sugawara Ichiro was such a good opportunity, but we missed it!”

”There’s nothing you could do about that, don’t dwell on it too much!”

Shen Yan wasn’t too fixated. Intelligence work was like this, unpredictable and ever-changing.

They had previously planned to use Sugawara Ichiro’s birthday party to steal the briefcase from Inukai Ken, who liked to carry important documents with him.

But nobody expected that ”Sugawara Haojie” would get injured in Jinling and end up staying in the hospital for nearly a month.

Without Sugawara Haojie’s timely return, there was no one to take the initiative in organizing the party.

The scale of the birthday party was significantly reduced, and Qu Anni, a woman from Hua Country, found it difficult to blend into the Devil’s gathering.

In the end, their plan to steal Inukai Ken’s briefcase was aborted, and Qu Anni did not find a better opportunity to intercept the documents.

”Now that He Haotian has returned, and he has a bigger backer, we’ll have even more opportunities in the future!” Shen Yan comforted her warmly.

Qu Anni nodded, ”I understand, it just feels like a missed chance.”

The two exchanged some more intelligence. Anxious that her drunken husband might wake up early, Qu Anni didn’t dare to linger too long and hurried back.

He Tiantian: ... It’s fine, carry on your talk. Whatever time you come home, that’s when I’ll wake up!

With a husband like He Tiantian who was so willing to cooperate, Qu Anni’s subsequent work went even smoother.

More money.

Even more intelligence was coming in, one after another.

Even Inukai Ken’s briefcase, coincidentally, ”appeared” on her way home.

Qu Anni didn’t know what it was like to be ”carried by a boss,” but her work had passed the point of going smoothly; it was almost as if everything she wished for came true.

”The rendezvous location, Qingfeng Tea House.”

”The secret code for the meeting...”

Qu Anni hid in the study, listening carefully to the radio, then pulled out a copy of the Book of Poetry from the shelf, reacting as instructed.

After reading it carefully, she used a match to ignite the thin paper, tossing it into the ashtray, waiting for the paper to turn to ash, before pouring the tea water into the ashtray.

On the afternoon of the third day, Qu Anni went to Qingfeng Tea House at the scheduled time.
