The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 87: Chapter 074: The Whole Family is Top-grade (Part 6)

Practicing archery was indeed an extremely tedious process.

This competitive sport, if you say it requires skill, it certainly does, but skill isn’t the most important aspect.

The most important is one word—steady.

The athlete’s hand must be steady, and their heart, even steadier.

Many professional archers can achieve perfect scores of 10 rings during their regular practice.

But once they’re on the competition field, facing all sorts of problems, even slight fluctuations can affect the final score.

And what’s more tragic is that as a country that revered the six arts of the gentleman more than two or three thousand years ago, its athletes rarely won championships in modern archery competitions.

The Hua Country of this time and space, similar to the real Hua Country, hasn’t won a gold medal in archery since rejoining the Olympic Games more than ten years ago.

A few years ago, at the Los Angeles Olympics, the Hua Country Archery Team managed to take a silver medal in the individual events, marking the team’s first Olympic silver.

The following year, the national sports commission made archery one of the key projects, establishing more than a dozen focal units.

If He Tiantian remembered correctly, the province and city she currently resided in was one of those focal units.

And the sports school in front of her was the training base for the provincial archery team.

He Tiantian had precisely chosen archery, considering the local emphasis on the sport and the international void, on top of the actual situation.

She had a cheat, and the country of this time and space needed an Olympic champion, so she, the glory-seeking villain, could justifiably bring honor to the nation.

In the plan He Tiantian had for completing her task, archery was definitely a significant link.

Thus, after arriving at the Learning Space, she devoted all her energy, learning bit by bit with the Martial Arts Master.

Training her stance, honing her arm strength, simple techniques, fixed movements—she repeated them over and over again, year after year.

Fixed targets, moving targets, standing position, kneeling position... He Tiantian tirelessly pursued perfection until she mastered the skill.

Of course, in modern terms, this meant creating muscle memory.

That is, without any preparation, as soon as she touched a bow and arrow, she could subconsciously draw the bow and aim, successfully hitting the target!

In the years of training, He Tiantian discovered another wonderful use of the Virtual Learning Space.

That is, the learning space could even simulate various fantastical scenes.

For instance, to imbue He Tiantian with a strong heart and stable emotions, the Martial Arts Master brought her directly into an ancient battlefield.

Human voices, the sound of horses, clashing swords, wails of pain, the collision of cold weapons, blood and limbs flying—such scenes posed an immense challenge and ordeal for He Tiantian, who had grown up in a peaceful era.

Although she had time-traveled across three different novel worlds, encountering an assassin in the third world and nearly losing her life, most of He Tiantian’s experiences were relatively peaceful and safe.

Suddenly throwing her into the cruel and bloody battlefield, introducing her to the directness and brutality of the age of cold weapons, truly presented a massive challenge to He Tiantian’s inner strength.

She instinctively felt fear, hesitation, and even nausea, almost fainting.

But as time on the battlefield prolonged, seeing frequent death, becoming accustomed to a variety of bloody external injuries, He Tiantian actually adapted.

Even if a ”comrade” beside her was brutally slashed by the enemy’s sword, flesh indiscernible, He Tiantian could remain composed and steady, drawing her bow and arrow, shooting directly at the enemy’s throat.

He Tiantian’s character was honed to the greatest extent, not to mention minor problems she might encounter in modern competitions like winds, rain, or unsportsmanlike opponents; even if the competition field caught fire or she faced a terrorist attack, He Tiantian remained entirely unaffected.

Besides the battlefield mode, He Tiantian also experienced assassin mode, horse-riding mode.

... After spending a full thirty years in the learning space, nearly half her life, He Tiantian finally mastered the Divine Skill of Hundred-step Piercing.

She withdrew her Divine Soul from the learning space and returned to her body.

And before He Tiantian detached her soul, the body had already been positioned in the stance to draw a bow.

He Tiantian could feel her arm stretching, but the force wasn’t very strong.

She estimated that this ordinary traditional bow was only about 22 pounds.

Converted into pounds, it was less than twenty catty.

In the learning space, He Tiantian practiced with the very traditional ancient great bow, starting with a half-stone bow, followed by a one-stone (approximately 120 pounds).
