The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 53: Chapter 053 I Am the Wicked Older Sister (Part 8)

After determining the true cause of Duchess Wei’s illness, Imperial Physician Yang treated her accordingly.

Deep into the night, He Tiantian expelled some clotted blood, and the discharge gradually stopped.

”... Ah, the noble lady has finally pulled through!”

After taking He Tiantian’s pulse again and ensuring her condition had stabilized, Imperial Physician Yang finally let out a long sigh of relief.

”Thank you, Imperial Physician, I really can’t thank you enough!”

Duke Wei, who had been up for almost all night, was relieved to hear the good news. His exhaustion lessened considerably. He thanked Imperial Physician Yang repeatedly and personally escorted him out of the inner gates.

The face of Imperial Physician Yang was etched with fatigue, yet his spirit was exceptionally high.

The joy of saving a life goes without saying, but more importantly, Imperial Physician Yang had personally overcome a rare disease.

That would serve as valuable experience for him in the future.

Furthermore, Duke Wei’s Mansion was known for its generosity, and the envelope silently handed to him by the steward was particularly hefty.

Having been rewarded both spiritually and materially, Imperial Physician Yang departed feeling satisfied.

He Tiantian, on the other hand, ”remained unconscious,” ”having no choice” but to accept the imperial physician’s treatment and was forcibly fed several bowls of appropriate medicinal concoctions by Nanny Seo.

Feeling her body no longer in agony, He Tiantian was genuinely exhausted and eventually fell asleep.

When she opened her eyes again, it was already noon.

”Madame, you’re awake? Oh, that is wonderful!”

”Madame, how do you feel?”

”Madame, Madame—”

Nanny Seo and a few trusted maids were all talking at once, their voices filled with immense surprise and delight.

He Tiantian deliberately acted weak, slightly nodding her head, and did not forget to continue her charade, ”Remember, today is the second day, don’t feed me any medicine, and don’t call for the Imperial Physician!”

Nanny Seo and the others silently shared a look, then responded ambiguously.

Student Xiao D frowned, ”Tiantian, you really like to play a lot of roles, don’t you?”

It was better when Student Xiao D kept quiet, but its interjection reminded He Tiantian of something important.

After being helped by Nanny Seo to drink some nourishing medicinal broth, she feigned weariness and lay back down to rest.

Nanny Seo left two maids to watch over her and led the others out of the room.

Silence returned to the bedroom once more.

He Tiantian closed her eyes, seemingly slipping back into slumber, but in reality, she was bickering with Student Xiao D—

”Student Xiao D, what qualifications are needed to access the Dian Niang Mall?”

She wanted to check it last time, but Student Xiao D said that her level wasn’t sufficient.

He Tiantian had completed another world in the book, with at least two books on her shelf; she should no longer be considered a newbie.

Even by Dian Niang Book Library’s standards, she reckoned she was a One-star Writer.

Such a level, and still unable to access the mall?

”What do you think you are at one star?”

Student Xiao D could clearly perceive He Tiantian’s inner voice and responded grumpily, ”Tiantian, you’re far from being a real One-star Writer.”

He Tiantian wasn’t offended and continued to softly coax Student Xiao D, ”So, can I access the mall now?”

”Of course not! You need to reach a writer level of one star to do so!” Student Xiao D counted on its fingers, realizing only after completing five tasks would He Tiantian have a chance to level up.

Right now, she remained a rank-less novice.

”Then, can I enter a draw? Everyone else’s system can enter draws. Student Xiao D, surely our Dian Niang Book Library won’t fall short in comparison to the others, right?”

He Tiantian tried a bit of reverse psychology.

”Who says our Dian Niang Book Library is inferior to others? It’s just drawing lots, we have it too!”

Student Xiao D, clearly a newcomer, responded without thinking.

”Since there’s a drawing, why didn’t you tell me?”

He Tiantian suddenly changed her expression, abruptly becoming a ferocious debt collector, ”Student Xiao D, are you intentionally hiding something? This could be dereliction of duty!”

”No, no, I just forgot!”

Student Xiao D was already feeling a bit guilty, and with He Tiantian’s sudden threat, he became even more flustered.

He Tiantian grew even more angry, looking as though she were rolling up her sleeves to fiercely fight with Student Xiao D, ”Forgot? You could forget something like this?”

”My luck is so good, I can randomly enter a lottery and win a big prize. And such a prize could help me easily complete missions in the task world!”

”But you just say ’I forgot’ and caused me such a great loss. Student Xiao D, do you know that I can file a complaint against you?”

He Tiantian’s aura was incredibly domineering, much like an aggressive villain.

Student Xiao D shuddered with fright and quickly pleaded, ”I’m sorry, Tiantian, really sorry!”

In a moment of desperate urgency, Student Xiao D suddenly tapped into his potential, his mind racing unusually fast.

He had a brilliant idea and desperately started to flatter He Tiantian, ”Tiantian, the main thing is, you’re just too amazing, easily completing two book worlds.”

”I, I also thought that you didn’t need those things, so that’s why I, I—”

”My being amazing is my business, but your forgetting, that’s your mistake!”

He Tiantian was relentless, seizing onto Student Xiao D’s one mistake and refusing to let go.

Student Xiao D kept apologizing, but soon he came to his senses.

He shook his fuzzy coat and resignedly asked, ”Just speak, what do you really want?”

Having known her for some time, Student Xiao D had some understanding of He Tiantian.

He Tiantian never did pointless things; she wasn’t the type to throw a fit for no reason.

Her insistence wasn’t to vent her emotions or find a sense of superiority in others, but rather she had an ulterior motive!

Indeed, hearing Student Xiao D’s resigned voice, He Tiantian’s unreasonable demeanor disappeared instantly.

In its place was a smile with a hint of ingratiating intent, as if joking, she said, ”Student Xiao D, how about you help me cheat a little? During the lottery later, you help me—”

Student Xiao D with a numb face, ”Aren’t you the lucky one? Why do you still need my help?”

”Of course, my luck is great, so I will definitely win a big prize. But the problem is, the big prize might not be what I need the most right now!”

He Tiantian showed no embarrassment, instead claiming confidently, ”For example, I need a beauty elixir right now, but I might not be able to win it.”

”Imagine if I win something like a Foundation Establishment Pill or another Divine Pill. It’s good, but I don’t need it right now.”

He Tiantian spouted nonsense, but Student Xiao D picked up on another point, ”Beauty elixir? Aren’t you most in need of something to regulate your body’s condition?”

Student Xiao D was genuinely confused; he thought He Tiantian was making a big deal about the lottery and trying to coerce him into helping cheat, mainly to treat her failing body.

Even if He Tiantian had asked for a Bone Marrow Cleansing Pill, Student Xiao D could understand.

But she specifically mentioned a ”beauty elixir.” This, this—

Could it be that He Tiantian had some other wicked idea?

”What wicked idea? I’m not really a vicious villain!”

Deep in her sea of consciousness, He Tiantian observed the fuzzy little ball; though it didn’t have any expression, just a fluffy sphere, she could still discern the changes in its mood through the way its fur quivered.

”Don’t worry, as long as no one harms me, I won’t harm anyone else.”

He Tiantian said earnestly; she was a good kid with proper moral values. Even though she was often written as a villain, she wouldn’t become truly malicious or cunning.

”Student Xiao D, give it to me straight, are you going to help me or not?”

”...” Having threatened to file a complaint against me already, do I even have the right to refuse?

Deep inside, Student Xiao D felt incredibly wronged, yet still put on a show, conjuring a lottery wheel and spinning it with his mind.

He Tiantian half-heartedly shouted, ”Stop!”

Student Xiao D with a numb face, in a stiff mechanical voice announced, ”Congratulations to writer He Tiantian on winning a free lottery chance and obtaining the prize ’Beauty Enhancement Pill’!”

After saying this, Student Xiao D quickly added urgently, ”Tiantian, I’ve compensated you now, there won’t be any more free lottery opportunities in the future, nor any allowed cheating.”

He Tiantian waved it off casually, ”Fine, got it!”

Future matters can be dealt with in the future. With Student Xiao D’s simple and silly nature, she would always find another chance to extort him!
