He Tiantian had diligently practiced boxing and Internal Cultivation Methods for twenty years in the learning space. Her martial arts had become not just for show, but very offensive and defensive moves.

Of course, they would look great if performed for an audience.

After all, with a foundation in martial arts and having developed Inner Strength, He Tiantian only needed to perform the relevant martial arts moves as required by the competition.

”Hey, don’t you see, being an athlete is also a way out!”

Student Xiao D did not wait for He Tiantian to respond before rambling on, ”In this era, there are many kids with good physical fitness from the countryside who were selected for sports teams—that’s their opportunity to leave the rural areas.”

”If they perform well and win a prize, they could go to college after retiring or get a job assignment.”

The more Student Xiao D thought about it, the more feasible this path seemed, and they were even more proud of their smart companion.

”Tiantian, you truly live up to your reputation. You said you’d find a way to solve the job issue, and you really came up with one.”

Student Xiao D was not skimping on praises, ”Haha, I always knew our Tiantian was the best, tsk tsk, being an athlete is so much better than being a hotel attendant.”

”With your strength, you’ll definitely win the national championship, and then you could even go abroad for competitions. Hey, wait, this era, martial arts isn’t an Olympic event yet!”

”...Oh well, it’s nothing, even if you can’t compete internationally, you could still perform abroad. That way, you could fulfill the original owner’s dream of flying on a plane and going overseas.”

Student Xiao D kept on talking non-stop, He Tiantian hadn’t even responded, yet they had already discussed all the possibilities.

However, He Tiantian shook her head, ”I don’t want to be a martial arts athlete.”

Student Xiao D was taken aback, ”What? You don’t want to be an athlete?” Then, what are you doing at the sports school?

And just as Student Xiao D had analyzed, in the current social environment, with the original owner’s background and abilities, becoming an athlete seemed like a good way out.

After all, even with a university degree, there might not be an opportunity to go abroad.

The original owner was vain, always wanting to live in glory and be the envy of everyone.

”I didn’t say I wouldn’t be an athlete, I said I didn’t want to choose martial arts.”

He Tiantian didn’t want Student Xiao D to keep guessing, so she simply gave her answer, ”You also said it, martial arts isn’t an Olympic event right now, though you can still participate in the Asian Games. But I want to stand on the biggest and most authoritative international stage.”

Of course, the most important point He Tiantian had not forgotten was the designated task in this novel world—to increase the thrilling factor of the plot.

How can it be more thrilling?

Of course, it’s the weak overcoming the strong, the underdog’s reverse.

And the martial arts event was already a traditional sport of Hua Country.

Winning was expected; losing was inconceivable.

Such a matter of course wasn’t very exhilarating when accomplished.

He Tiantian had already thought it through; if she was to do it, it had to be a meaningful and thrilling event.

For example—

”Archery! I want to be an archer!”

He Tiantian asserted her goal to Student Xiao D.

”Archery?” Student Xiao D was stunned again but then suddenly remembered, ”Right, right, the Martial Arts Master has a unique skill called ’Hundred-step Piercing’.”

Although the ancient Hundred-step Piercing was different from modern archery competitions.

But if He Tiantian really mastered this Divine Skill, becoming a Divine Archer who hits the target every time, then participating in archery competitions would undoubtedly be no problem.

Pah, pah, not just no problem, it would be totally crushing.

Traditional bows did not have stabilizers, sights, or other auxiliary equipment.

Plus, the ancient people who practiced archery had already mastered it; many fancy shooting styles in competitions are leftovers from ancient archery.

He Tiantian walked around the sports school and eventually found a shop selling various sports equipment.

For thirty-six yuan, He Tiantian bought an ordinary traditional bow, along with an Arrow Quiver.

He Tiantian held the bow and arrow and walked out of the sports school’s gate, found a tree by the roadside, walked out a hundred-meter distance, and then began to practice drawing the bow.

In the previous world, He Tiantian had learned some archery mnemonics and techniques while watching the Martial Arts Master coach Brother Yuan.

But she had never practiced it practically.

Today was her first time handling a real bow and arrow.

Whoosh!

Following the mnemonic taught by the Martial Arts Master, He Tiantian positioned her stance and drew the bow and nocked the arrow.

Unsurprisingly, the first shot flew off course.

He Tiantian took out another arrow and continued practicing.

Having shot all the arrows from the Arrow Quiver, He Tiantian barely started to get the hang of it.

Her arrows no longer ”missed the target” and could hit the tree trunk.

But the placement was pretty random; if she were using an actual target, He Tiantian would at best be shooting around the edge.

He Tiantian, holding the bow and arrow in the archery posture, projected her Divine Soul into the learning space.

”Master, please teach me archery!”

He Tiantian respectfully saluted the Martial Arts Master, and then, the two began a tedious, long journey of teaching and practicing...
