The Golem Mage

Just as Alec thought he had evaded all of them during his retreat, he realized that his danger senses were blaring, and one of the wolves that had encircled him was missing.

So he quickly turned and swung his Changdao along, which was coated in a fiery aura, his blade clashed with the wolf’s claws, parrying the attack, but residual black particles from the wolf claw’s stuck to his chest, making his movements sluggish for a second.

Giving another wolf the chance to sank its jaws into his thigh, but Alec merely grunted, bearing the pain, cause with his high endurance, he could cope with the pain temporarily as he glared at the wolf responsible for his impaired agility.

Determined to eliminate the threat, Alec shifted from a defensive stance to an offensive one.

As he thrust the Changdao forward, targeting the underbelly of the wolf, which was still reeling from the force of Alec’s strength.

The thrust pierced deeply, killing the wolf instantly, Alec then tried to smash his right fist into the wolf still biting him, when he heard a chilling howl.

Turning toward the Alpha, which still seemed to be free and advancing toward him, Alec’s eyes moved to Titan, Sword Saint, and Legion, who was sprawl on the ground everywhere, although they were not dead, but it appeared they would not be able to significantly affect the Alpha Shadow Wolf from running amok on the battlefield again.

A sense of impending doom raised the hairs on Alec’s body as he saw various dark shadow wolves rise from the ground and dash toward him.

”Fuck!” Alec cursed as he punched the head of the wolf clamped onto his leg, his fist soon became encased in a stone-like substance as he dropped his fist down, as he eventually smashed the skull of the wolf, killing his fourth opponent.

But it was too late, The shadow wolf apparitions were already upon him, clawing at him.

Though he slammed his right leg into the ground, raising a huge earth wall to protect him, but he was unable to defend against the shadow wolves that seemed to pass through solid objects, inflicting various bone-deep wounds on him.

Alec was infuriated that the attack had been one that I can’t be defended against or blocked, leaving him vulnerable to a spell with the power of low Tier 6 damage.

He watched the Alpha Shadow Wolf intently, hoping it would come after him, but instead, the Alpha shifted its trajectory.

From Alec’s perspective, it was clear the Alpha was targeting either Butcher or Oni next.

Gritting his teeth, Alec had the sinking feeling that he had seen the Alpha Shadow Wolf smirk at him.

It was evident that the Alpha was far more intelligent than the rest of its pack, having quickly deduced that Alec was the leader.

Yet, the Alpha avoided direct engagement with Alec, allowing its pack members to drain Alec’s energy while it pursued the other Golems that were inflicting more damage.

It seemed to be tactically eliminating Alec’s weaker links, aiming to take out all of Alec’s Golems before facing a weary Alec who would have been left to defend against a larger number of wolves if his golems were defeated.

Feeling increasingly frustrated by his predicament, Alec manipulated the earth beneath his legs and propelled himself towards the Alpha, which was moving towards Oni, who had just reaped the soul of another wolf with his scythe.

The moment the Alpha Wolf noticed Alec hurtling towards it, it smirked and turned to face him, dashing forward, this development caught Alec off guard and surprised him, as he had assumed the Alpha would continue to avoid a direct confrontation.

Alec steeled his resolve, as flames igniting at his feet to boost his speed, while he positioned his Changdao in a position to strike at the head of the Alpha Shadow Wolf.

Just as he thought his plan was unfolding smoothly, the Alpha Shadow Wolf let out a roar, and dark energy flowed from its mouth, forming a black portal.

Alec: ”¬” Why the fuck do they get all the great and super powers?

Alec cursed as he watched the Alpha Wolf leap into the shadow portal and disappear from sight as the portal disintegrated, as Alec could only turn his head in time to see where the Alpha remerged from, and that was beneath Magnito, as it was chomping down in an attempt to swallow the metal lifeform Golem.

Alec’s eyes blazed with fury, realizing he couldn’t easily change his direction in mid-air easily, before he could react, he found himself ensnared in another encirclement trap set by the Alpha, as a new set of wolves surrounded him as he landed where the Alpha one stood.

He watched helplessly as Magnito struggled, even casting a self-destructive spell that transformed its body into a porcupine-like form.

Despite its efforts, all it managed to do was inflict critical injuries to the Alpha Shadow Wolf’s mouth that was now covered in blood.

Magnito’s life ended when it was torn to shreds by the Alpha’s massive teeth, which seemed to be coated in some type of dark energy.

In a rage over the loss of one of his golems, Alec spun off the ground, calling forth his affinity with the earth element to propel him upward as both earth and fire elements swirled around his spinning figure.

He rotated with such speed that when he finally stopped, his two elements appeared to have merged.

Without hesitation, Alec delivered a decapitating strike at neck level to another wolf in front of him.

He watched as the wolf’s head cleanly separated from its body, and then realized his strike continued, effortlessly killing three more.

He observed the damage that occurred and felt shaken; for a moment, his mana execution had been pure lava element, by combining both earth and fire elements.

Scorching hot magma cleaved through everything with ease until its power waned.

Still caught up in the thrill of having unlocked magma execution, Alec sensed danger from behind.

He attempted to pierce behind him with his blade without turning , but the Alpha Wolf, which had emerged from his shadow, seemed to have anticipated his move.

As it bit into the flaming blade with its shadow teeth, holding the Changdao in place.

Alec was about to struggle when he sensed another ominous presence behind him.

However, Alec’s reaction was delayed since he was held by the Alpha before him, giving the new Alpha wolf that appeared behind him an opportunity to sink its large fangs, imbued with dark energy, into him.

A sense of weakness washed over Alec as he felt his strength and energy were being drained away, meanwhile, the wolf before him began healing its mouth visibly at an alarming rate.

To Alec’s astonishment, instead of remaining in physical form, the wolf dissolved into shadows and merged with the body of the Alpha shadow wolf behind him and still biting tightly, and It became evident that the initial attack was a mere shadow clone, a clever decoy devised by the Alpha shadow wolf to sap Alec’s vitality.

Frail and feeble, Alec desperately attempted to summon his bone katana to strike a decisive blow to the Alpha’s skull.

However, with impeccable timing, the paw of the Alpha crashed down upon Alec’s head, as if anticipating his move.

The force of the attack caused Alec to lose consciousness, plunging him into a void of darkness.
