The Golem Mage

Alec’s neck twitched ever so slightly as a high-speed water spear sliced through the air, narrowly missing him.

The sky was filled with an onslaught of water elemental attacks – water spears, flood dragons, and even water wheels sent by the sea demon leader Yet, regardless of the assault, Alec effortlessly dodged each strike with millimetre precision.

Perplexed by Alec’s uncanny evasion skills, the sea demon leader inquired,

”Do you have eyes in the back of your head?” His gaze followed Alec’s subtle bend as a water wheel, manipulated for a sneak attack from behind, whizzed harmlessly past.

A sly grin formed on Alec’s lips as he finally removed his hands from his pockets.

”You’ll need to do more than that, for within a few meters of me lies my domain, and this slow attacks would never hurt me ” he retorted.

”Quit dancing around and face me!” the sea demon leader commanded, lunging at Alec with a trident forged from the water element, responding to the demon leader’s challenge, Alec moved forward, so he planned to meet him half way.

Both combatants blurred with speed, leaving behind fleeting after images, as Alec finally embraced direct combat, the sea demon leader’s smirk widened, as he rotated the trident he was wielding, and the tips of his rotating trident unleashed a powerful suction-like force, aimed at preventing Alec’s superb evasion.

This attack, designed to trap Alec, as the demon leader’s came to a realization that he was no match for Alec’s speed, despite his having realm advantage over Alec.

Yet, an audacious grin graced Alec’s face as he unleashed a forceful slap toward the rotating trident, heading straight for his chest, the sea demon leader’s eyes bulged in shock at Alec’s audacity before transitioning into pure delight, his expression adorned with a wide, gratified grin as he felt Alec was underestimating him again.

He could hardly wait to see Alec’s smug expression morph into one of agony, as he had initially thought Alec was out of his mind, when he was attempting to fight nonchalantly with hands in his pockets, but now he realized the problem with Alec’s head was way serious, if he was just trying to stop his attack with nothing but his bare hand, which is devoid of any mana to reinforce it, as it was slowly moving towards his weapon.

Alec was attempting to deflect the rotating water trident with a mere swing of his hand—a move that seemed ludicrous to him.

However, in the blink of an eye, his perception was shattered, as not only had Alec slapped the water trident, but the spell of the water trident had disintegrated after being faced by such physical strength.

Shocked by the turn of events, he watched as Alec didn’t waste a moment, pressing his advantage and advancing towards him.

Alec closed the gap, reaching out with his left hand towards the leader’s neck, but the leader countered with an unexpected move, spitting acidic saliva at Alec.

At such proximity, it seemed inevitable that part of Alec’s face would be scorched away, yet, in an instant, the serene aura surrounding him shifted dramatically, as It now pulsed with intense bloodlust and emitted a dangerous vibe.

The Blood killing intent materialized before Alec, forming a shield that blocked the corrosive spit.

Thwarted in his surprise attack, the sea demon leader lashed out with his fist, which bizarrely split into eight long tentacles, as they enveloped the crimson barrier that had shielded Alec from the sneak attack.

”Now, that was a mistake,” Alec said coolly.

With a deliberate motion of his right hand, he manipulated the bloodthirsty intent that had coalesced into a protective shield to protect him.

As the shield twisted and reshaped itself into a broadsword even when it was in captivity.

”Rotate!” Alec bellowed, inverting his grip as the blood-red sword, forged from his killing intent, began to spin at a high velocity.

It sliced through the tentacle-like appendages of the sea demon leader, eliciting a pained roar.

But before Alec could close the distance, a massive water bomb casted earlier by the sea demon leader as a follow up attack materialized and struck him, sending him crashing into the docks below.

The sea demon leader surveyed the wreckage, anticipating any sign of movement from Alec, but after five tense seconds, a smirk was about to form on his lips, before his danger senses screamed a warning.

Whirling around, he hastily conjured a reinforced water barrier, only for it to shatter under the impact of a colossal boulder, cracks spider-webbed across the barrier, leaving him bewildered at how such an attack had gone unnoticed.

Gritting his teeth against the immense pressure, he struggled to maintain the barrier blocking what threatened to smash him into the ground.

In the midst of his defense, he caught a blur out of the corner of his eye. But he was too late in his reaction , as he realized Alec had appeared beside him, swinging a leg toward his waist, caught off guard while still fending off the boulder, he couldn’t mount a defense.

Bang!

The sea demon leader was catapulted back into the village from Alec’s kick, his body crashing through several structures before he managed to anchor his legs into the ground, halting his uncontrolled flight.

As he steadied himself, Alec materialized before him once more, this time, the sea demon leader had seen it clearly Alec hadn’t teleported, It seemed he had sprinted through the air, closing the gap with astonishing speed.

The sea demon leader had assumed Alec’s movement was supernatural, but in reality,

It was just Alec’s agility stats that were exceptionally high.

As he had manipulated gravity to lighten his body, and when he burst forth at top speed, it appeared as though he was walking on air or teleporting, However, it was merely a case of exploiting his overpowering gravity affinity and his perverted agility stats for his realm.

Caught off guard, the sea demon leader was forced to raise his arms defensively as he saw Alec’s right fist, engulfed in fiery flames, aimed a jab at him.

But still yet the leader was still too slow to react, as the punch landed squarely on his nose, causing him to stagger back and create a small gap between them.

Before the leader could even process the hit, Alec unleashed a powerful cross with his left hand, targeting the jaw.

The second blow sent the sea demon leader stumbling backward once more, as he quickly noticed Alec’s leg sweeping in for a low kick to his thighs.

In response, he summoned a water shield with his mana to protect the targeted area, yet, he hadn’t anticipated the sheer force behind Alec’s leg, the kick shattered the water shield and struck his right thigh, further destabilizing his stance.

”I will kill you!” the sea demon leader bellowed, enraged, as he launched two punches with fists encased in water bubbles, however, they were intercepted by Alec’s palms, now armoured with stone fists.

Bang!

But the impact sent Alec flying, crashing into the remnants of already demolished houses, just clinging to the last vestiges of their strength.

The water bubbles detonated upon collision with Alec’s stone-clad hands, fortunately, his stone fists provided more protection than if he had used his fiery fists, sparing him from the worst of the explosion.

As the leader of the sea demons closed in on him, Alec found himself repeatedly hurled through the air, gripped by the tentacles that had sprouted from the demon’s right hand.

Each time, he was slammed into the ground, the impact reverberating through his body, after enduring this brutal assault several times, he was finally flung to another location, where the sea demon awaited his descent, poised to strike.

Anticipating Alec’s incapacitation, the demon readied a devastating blow.

However, Alec defied expectations. With remarkable agility, he twisted mid-air and landed gracefully, evading the incoming hook punch wrapped in a water bubble.

Having witnessed the destructive potential of the water bubbles, Alec decided to prioritize evasion over defense.

Closing the distance, he launched a swift elbow strike aimed at the sea demon leader’s chin, as his left elbow had been enveloped in a modified rock fist spell Alec created as it was conjured with multiple spikes.

The attack caused the sea demon leader to recoil, emitting pained cries as the earth spikes had pierced his jaw.

”Come on, show me what you’re made of, you sea bastard! Your attacks are nothing but a tickle!” Alec taunted, his endurance proving formidable as he weathered the assaults without succumbing to critical injuries as he was only with cuts and few cuts.

Alec had high endurance resistance due to his system points and the additional stats point benefits from the red Salamander tattoo underscored just how challenging it was to inflict significant harm him.
