The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After the conflict was over, they naturally returned to the apartment while the duo magician trying to clarify the information they got from Kaito and others. Also, because Touma’s apartment was basically scrapped, Kaito and others then invited him and Index to stay in their apartment.

”We are back.”

When they enter the apartment, besides Index, Aika apparently has also woken up, albeit she still looks very weak. Both Index and Aika are currently sitting on the sofa while watching TV with an exhausted look, while Ravel and Sakuya are currently preparing bedding for Index and Touma to use tonight in the living room, since they ran out of the room.

”Welcome back, you guys.” Aika greeted them casually, ”How is it?”

”Things developed the same as the original.” Kaito shrugged and then expressed his concern, ”You should rest, Aika. you looks so tired.”

”It’s okay.” Aika wryly smiled, ”I will go back to bed soon to take proper sleep... Also, I am sorry, but no night activity tonight.”

...!!!

Hearing what Aika said, everyone looked at Kaito with scrutiny, while Touma and Index blush, somewhat understand whats her talking about. Meanwhile, Manaka’s eyes lit up and suggested, ”I think I can help you with that, Kaito-kun.”

*Cough*

”Uh, let’s not talk about that for now. Stop teasing me, Aika.” Kaito also blushed and then changed the topic... as he looked at Index, ”Index, do you understand the truth about what’s going on with you now?”

Index nods and wryly smiles, ”I have understood my own situation, and I am very grateful for everyone’s help.”

”But I am confused about what I should do...”

Hearing what Index said, the room suddenly became quiet as they also didn’t know what to say about her situation.

Of course, Index is upset about her own situation... having to erase her memories every year and forgetting all of her friends, but she also doesn’t blame the archbishop entirely for the situation.

Index understands this because Aika hasexplained that, from a leadership perspective, what the archbishop did was indeed taking the right steps. It’s a good way to protect the church’s assets of 103,000 magic books in her head (while also making sure to let her not have any idea to rebel), even though the method was wrong and cruel to Index.

However, as if it’s part of the world correction, Touma suddenly spoke up and promised her, ”Index! I don’t understand what’s going on with the church, but I know you need our help.”

”Touma?” Index was surprised to see Touma pumped up out of nowhere.

”If you are not happy with the church, then don’t go back! Stay with us in the city, we will protect you, and we are also going to solve your trouble once and for all!””

Touma then turned to Kaito and begged, literally bowing in 90 degrees, ”Kaito, please! Help Index be free from her circumstances!”

Looking at Touma, Kaito’s lips turned up, ”As expected of a protagonist, really knows how to smooth-talk.”

”???”

”Forget what I said... But Touma was right. Index, you should stay with us for a while until we decide to solve your problem.”

With their current strength, there are so many ways to solve the Index situation easily, compared to the original, where they could only rely on Touma. For example, Kaito literally could stop time and break her ’ring’ instantly using Imagine Breaker, minimizing the damage as it wouldn’t even give the chance for the protection system in Index’s head to react.

In fact, Kaito initially wanted to pry open Index’s mind to get those 103.000 book since those are priceless treasures, but unfortunately, when he asked the system, the cost to do so was outrageous. Whether it’s related to the rumor that those magic books could make someone become a magic god or the world consciousness directly opposed that idea, Kaito decided to forget that idea entirely.

At least until Kaito has enough strength and lets Index visit the base world later on.

>>>>>

In the end, Touma and everyone’s words convinced Index to stay close to them, although she’s also against the idea of quitting the Necessarius church.

Aika then told her that it should be okay, and her archbishop definitely would let her stay... after all, that’s what happened in the original.

=====

[Owner]: ”So with everything that had happened, after we solved Index’s  situation, I decided we should go back.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”I support your idea. Now with the Accelerator situation sorted, Index problem about to be solved, and Misaka business half finished, it’s the perfect time to go back.”

[Witch of the Void]: ”That’s great news. You guys have no idea how busy we have become after you guys were gone. Some of the work, like the construction of material, can only be done by you, Kaito.”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”That’s right! Boss, you haven’t paid my wage for months now!”

[Owner]: ”Ah, I forgot about that. But you didn’t slack off during my trips, right?”

[Witch of the Void]: ”From what I know, this guy doesn’t work that much when you were gone.”

[God Tongue]: ”Indeed. I have seen Kazuma spend all day in a tavern, drinking with people in Anti-Zombie.”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”Leone reported to me that she met two funny guys in a tavern, a woman with blue hair and a guy with brown hair in Baroque city.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”It seems he didn’t work during our vacation, Kaito.”

[Owner]: ”...”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”...Emm... Although I didn’t discover many areas, I still do my job a little bit.”

[Owner]: ”How much a little bit? I need the report. Send it to me.”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”...On second thought, boss, let’s forget about it. But I promise to start working again when you return.”

...

During Kaito’s trips, Kazuma knows he basically slacked off for a month; most of the time he spends his time watching anime, reading manga, completes his collection of anime figures, and traveling to the tavern with Aqua to try their best drink. As a former NEET, now with basically infinite financial power, Kazuma completely let himself go and indulged in his old hobby.

As for strength? Kazuma believe as long as he stays in the base world, nothing couldn’t harm him anyway. There’s no need for him to expose himself to danger for that matter.

...

[Owner]: ”Whatever. If you don’t work, then I don’t need to pay you. Anyway, daily tasks should be more than enough to give you points..”

[God Tongue]: ”Anyway, stop talking about this guy. Please inform us when you guys decide to return. I will need to prepare with Hisako about the banquet.”

[God Tongue Secretary]: ”I will do my best to help.”

[Owner]: ”Probably in a day or two. Depend on when Kanzaki Kaori and Stiyl finished their clarification and begged us to save Index.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”But... what’s about my personal task? We only managed to save half of my sisters...”

[Owner]: ”Oh, hey, Misaka! You are here! I thought you were already sleeping.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”What ’Hey’?! Though I am sorry I couldn’t help with the index situation. After all, my dormitory has curfew.”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”I am sorry, Misaka-dono, but did you forget the warp-kun? Curfew wouldn’t be a problem if you just teleported away, right?”

[God Tongue]: ”Pffft!”

[Witch of the Void]: ”For once, I agree with Kazuma. Misaka-san, distance is no longer a limit to us.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”...I am sorry.”

Misaka couldn’t help but blush in embarrassment, knowing she had made a fool of herself. As she was too focused on the chat group, Misaka didn’t realize that Kuroko was currently watching her, confused about what was going on with her onee-sama.

...

[Railgun Girl]: ”Set that aside, my personal task isn’t completed yet... and we couldn’t gather my sister’s soul until the task was completed to revive them.”

[Owner]: ”Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about them. Aleister temporarily needs them, and we can’t exactly go against him right now unless you were prepared to fall out and become mortal enemies with that guy.”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”An ambitious person like Aleister would stop at nothing to destroy anyone that potentially harm his plan. I suggest not provoking him.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”...Is there any other way?”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”I agree with Kaito, I am sorry, Misaka-san, unless you want to take extreme measures, there’s nothing we can do right now.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”Extreme measure?”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Um, like killed the rest of your sisters forcefully, and revived them back in the base world.”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”That’s certainly a way, but that’s too cruel.”

[Caped Baldy]: ”I don’t think it’s necessary to do so.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”That’s... a bit too much. Let’s just wait then.”

...

No matter how she thought about it, they were clearly in a deadlock, and she admitted there was nothing they could do. Without Aleister’s agreement, she couldn’t even take away the rest of 10.000 sisters at all... and even if they could, that would be the stupidest idea. Falling out with Aleister wasn’t an option; that would be too risky, and this guy wouldn’t hesitate to harm anyone close to her if they become enemy.

Not to mention, he was far stronger than any chat group members except maybe for Saitama and maybe Manaka. But even then, their fight would be too destructive and probably would blow up the world!

In the end, Misaka realized the core problem was the lack of strength to confront the ’boss’ behind the scenes; the solution was actually just to get stronger.

...

[Owner]: ”Honestly, things weren’t as bad as you thought. Misaka sisters were still alive, it’s just we couldn’t take them away until Aleister was done with them.”

[Necromancer]: ”The question is how long Aleister will need them? Even in the memories you share, it doesn’t seem that the Misaka sisters were freed in the end.”

[Owner]: ”...”

[Railgun Girl]: ”I have decided! I will also go back tomorrow with you guys.”

[God Tongue]: ”Huh? What’s your idea, Misaka-san? I thought you were trying to go against the decision.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”This situation wouldn’t have happened if we had enough strength to negotiate and deal with that stuck-in-the-jar guy. Hence, I will leave this world with you guys, freeze the time of this world, get much stronger in the outside world, and then come back when we have enough strength to confront that guy safely!”

...!!!

[Owner]: ”Ohh!! I think Misaka was right. Many of our problems were not solved because of the lack of strength!”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”We don’t necessarily need stronger than Aleister. We just need to have enough chips to trade.”

[Owner]: ”That’s true, but having strength definitely makes things easier! Damn it, you remind me! My current strength still isn’t enough to help everyone. I need to get stronger when I go back!”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”...”

[Scarlet Devil Headmaid]: ”...”

[Queen of Sekirei]: ”...”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”...”

Seeing Kaito’s starting idea of getting stronger again, Aika and many members in the chat group couldn’t help but curse Misaka’s carelessness. Their main goal alwasy been to let Kaito relax, and now it seems their leader is going back to the grind very soon.

Hence, Aika knows she needs to do something to distract him... and thankfully, everyone immediately cooperated with her.

...

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Anyway! Kaito, now we are going to go back and freeze this world... how many women are going to be kidnapped to the base world?”

[Root Princess]: ”Frenda Seivlun is definitely one of them. It’s clear Kaito-kun likes her.”

[Queen of Sekirei]: ”Don’t forget Frenda-san also has a cute little sister, which is a plus for him.”

[Owner Favorite Girl]: ”Then, Kaibi-san too! She’s a great manager and needed the most in the base world. I like her sense of fashion too!”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”How about Shokohou Misaki? Kaito likes blonde girls, right? Now Dolly is safe, I believe she would want to live with her in more safe environment.”

[Necromancer]: ”Don’t forget about Index. She has white hair, and Kaito loves that type too.”

[Musician of Red Hair Pirates]: ”I prefer Arisa Meigo-chan! She’s a singer, and it would be great if we sang together!”

[God Tongue]: ”It would be nice to have her, but I don’t think Kaito and others has meet her yet.”

[Root Princess]: ”Unfortunately, yes. I have checked all relevant characters in the plot, and unfortunately, Arisa hasn’t arrived in the Academy City yet... or at least debuted. Otherwise, I would have told Kaito-kun.”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”Damn it! The Misaka world is so dangerous, but it also has many beautiful girls! Kanzaki Kaori is a really good woman!”

[Slime King]: ”Kazuma, that one might be too dangerous for you. Remember, even Aika-san was defeated easily by her.”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”You will be cut into 3000 pieces, you know? I admire your courageous action, though.”

[Witch of the Void]: ”Let him do it. He could even try to get Othinus if he wants to try. Anyway, if he died, Aqua is there to revive him.”

[God Tongue]: ”Pffft!”

[Owner]: ”...Anyway, why did the topic suddenly change out of nowhere? I was talking about the importance of strength...”

....

Seeing the chat suddenly become lively after the topic change about the girls, Kaito suddenly felt complicated and confused... especially when the topic was directly about her preference for the girls in To Aru World.

...

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Because talking about the girls you want to recruit is important?”

[Scarlet Devil Headmaid]: ”True. Any girls you choose would become our colleagues soon.”

[Owner]: ”Why, it’s girls? You guys don’t think I won’t recruit any boys?”

[Root Princess]: ”You won’t... because you only know 2 male in that world. Touma was too important in the world, and Aleister, well, it’s too early to let him join us.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Unless you want to recruit Accelerator and Kakine, but I will personally go against that idea.”

[Owner]: ”...If you say like that, I guess there’s no real male I could recruit to the base world.”

...

Both of them, while incredibly powerful, also have problematic and awful personalities. Accelerator needs to be ’reformed’ before he can be safely introduced to the base world, and as for Kakine, there’s no way Kaito would let that true evil and selfish guy go to the base world.

Also, Kaito wasn’t that stupid to not notice Aika intentionally redirecting the topic, but he won’t expose it either. He was aware that every single member in the chat group was concerned about him trying too hard, and continuing to do so would only make them even more concerned.

Still, Kaito had no intention of slowing down, as he was really getting close to 7* strength. He just couldn’t stay when his ’bad luck’ curse still exists and could harm his family.

But not now. At least Kaito still trusts Aika regarding her promise that the system will help him by assigning him a personal task in 7 months.

...

[Owner]: ”I admit, I do have some people in my mind that I want to bring to our base world.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”So... who are you going to ’kidnap’?”

[Owner]: ”Well... I really do think Kaibi and Frenda are making an amazing team to run a company under me. They would be a great help to me in managing Aincrad City. But Index and Shokohou Misaki are a no-no, no... at least not yet. We are not close enough, and Index is Touma’s female lead. I won’t try to stole girl from my friend.”

[Root Princess]: ”Oh? Even though you basically stole all of his 20.000 Misaka sisters’ harem and even stole Misaka Mikoto herself a long time ago?”

[Necromancer]: ”Pfft!”

[SAO Blacksmith]: ”Pffft!”

[Owner]: ”Those don’t count... Misaka sisters were saved from their fate, while Misaka-san herself escaped her original fate due to a chat group invitation, not me!”

[Railgun Girl]: ”That’s right! Besides that, I don’t like that guy at all!”

[Owner]: ”Don’t worry, I feel the same.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”You!! You’re really asking for a beating, Kaito!”

[Owner]: ”Why are you getting mad? Do you like me or not? I forgot you are tsundere.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”I don’t, who are you calling tsundere!”

...

After that, Kaito and Misaka continued bickering until late at night in the chat group, while everyone was watching them and occasionally joining in.

No one had the intention to stop them, because they were doing it so often... and some members actually have fun watching it.
