The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

When the party is over, most of the guests have already left, except for Touma, who decides to stay longer to help with cleaning the room, and Index, who seems to be addicted to games and wants to play them longer. Touma personally felt guilty for eating dinner for free and contributing nothing.

”Index-san, I am done with cleaning. Let’s go back to my room.”

With Touma’s help, the apartment room, especially the dinner table, was quickly cleaned in just under 10 minutes. There’s some hiccup like a broken plate and glass, along the way, but thankfully, it’s no big problem since Kaito can create those easily.

”Eh? It’s already so late...” Index looked at the clock and pouted, then turned to Aika with begging eyes, ”Can I play it again tomorrow?”

”Sure. You can play with Est later.” Aika answered, ”Isn’t that right, Kaito?”

”Yeah. You were getting along with my sister, and I hope you continue to play with her.” Kaito nods in agreement, pointing at Est, who has been falling asleep on the sofa a while ago.

”Leave it to me! Est is a bit clueless, but she’s a perfect sister!” Index easily agreed, as she was also happy having her first friend in the same age.

...

After that, both Index and Touma leave, heading back to their own apartment. Neither Touma nor Kaito’s side tries to persuade Index to stay, mainly because Touma feels they shouldn’t bother the Kaito family, and Kaito with her group know they shouldn’t try to separate Index from Touma (part of Aleister’s plan).

However, they already confirmed with Aleister that they can do with anything else. For example, preventing Touma from having an incident with Index and directly confronting people who come from the magic side.

...

”Now we just need to wait until those two magicians dare enough to break into Touma’s apartment, and then we will help him,” Aika said.

”Earlier, Misaka actually wanted to help, but unfortunately, her dormitory has a  curfew.” Kaito commented, ”But yeah, from the plot we know, they will definitely do that.”

”Then, can you leave them to me, Kaito?”

????

Surprised by Aika’s sudden request, Kaito and others couldn’t help but ask, ”Why? You want to handle those two? Did you received personal task from the system?”

”Not a personal task. More like personal ambition. I’m just curious how far I am from Kanzaki Kaori, the number 9 saint in this world.” Aika confessed her idea, ”I want to show you how strong I am now, and I also wanted to test how far I can go.”

”This is not like you, Aika.”

”I know. But everyone changes, so do I.”

”But it’s dangerous... she’s a saint who can hold an ’angel’ on her own after all...”

From the original plot, everyone knows how ridiculously strong the renowned saint is, who is probably definitely in the 6* realm according to the chat group system classification. However, seeing rare motivation to fight from Aika, no one refuses her simple request... mainly, everyone is actually curious about how strong Aika is and what she wants to show to them.

The last time they saw her take action was back in the war against the Gastrea creature, and even then, she acted more like a tactician than a combatant in the backline.

...

”Kaito, you know how much I have been training myself to become stronger, following you.” Aika begged, ”Please, I feel like I could learn from the saint in this world, and I am genuinely lacking combat experience compared to someone like Miya-san.”

”...”

”I understand. But if things get bad, we will intervene in your deal.” Kaito compromised, followed by a nod from Manaka and Sakuya... who’s also the strongest person in here.

”Also, it would be better if the conflict never broke up; after all, they were supposed to be Touma’s good friends and allies in the future,” Manaka reminded.

”Naturally. I won’t make enemies, I just want to know my limit.”

After that, everyone in the room quietly pays attention with haki to the apartment room below them, waiting for the plot to happen. And sure enough, as the plot correction and world consciousness do exist, Stiyl Magnus actually broke into Touma’s apartment not long after they went back together.

>>>>>

*BOOM*

...!!

”It’s shaking, so get ready to hold on to me.”

Sure enough, perhaps due to world correction, the magician from outside Academy City still decided to break into Touma’s apartment... despite they were aware that Kaito’s residence was literally on upstair.

However, things are still quite different from the original plot. First, Styl Magnus didn’t set a trap before entering Touma’s apartment, and second, Kanzaki Kaori actually followed him into breaking into the Touma apartment when in the original, he’s doing it alone.

...

”Touma, it seems you need some help~.”

After hearing an explosion sound in Touma’s apartment, Kaito directly teleported to his room with every other girl in his group... giving them a legit reason.

When they appeared, the floor and walls of the apartment were cracked, and every piece of furniture was either burned or damaged. Unlike what happened in the plot, it seems that the conflict literally happens inside his apartment (not the balcony), and when Stiyl uses his fire magic, it quickly causes destruction to the place.

The flames crept across the room, activating the apartment’s fire-fighting system, causing the water sprinklers above the room to spray.

As for people, Index fell unconscious for some reason... and Touma was writhing in pain and bleeding, seemingly just getting smashed hard by Kanzaki Kaori, as the wall behind him cracked. Poor Touma, Kaito couldn’t help but offer a small prayer offering as it seems his situation is worse than the original, perhaps thanks to their intrusion.

Fortunately, Ravel quickly treats both of them with Phoenix Tear, which can help them recover from their situation quickly.

Seeing Kaito appear in his room, Touma quickly warned and pleaded, ”K-Kaito! These people wanted to take Index away! They are the ones who hunt Index down!”

Seeing Kaito appear with Aika and others in his place, both magicians who intend to forcefully take Index away, stop their action. Styl Magnus, the red-haired teenager who’s the culprit of the room explosion, retreated, while Kanzaki Kaori, a beautiful black-haired girl with a katana, take step forward, intending to face Kaito’s intervention.

”You... the number 1 Esper in this city.” Kaori holds the long nodachi in her wrist, ready to take action. ”This is our church of Necessarius business, you don’t need to care about it.”

”Well... you just injured our friend Kamijou Touma and Index. There’s no way we ignored it.” Aika chipped in casually.

”We are sorry for that. We are here to take Index back, not to injure them.” Kaori nods apologetically while bowing slightly, ”We will offer compensation for all the damage as long as you let us take her away.”

”Don’t let them take Index away!” Touma retorted in anger, refusing the deal immediately.

”Don’t worry, we are not letting them take her.” Kaito commented calmly, ”First off... You guys are so overconfident to break into the number 1 Esper residence?”

After saying that, Kaito intentionally released all of his ’mana,’ which startled and intimidated both magicians on the spot.

...!!!?!?

Just from the feeling of their energy output, Stiyl fell into panic and fear; he could tell that Kaito was a monster beyond their imagination. Earlier, he and Kaori had observed them from afar and knew they were strong, but facing head-on, Styl really felt how terrifying Kaito was, since he couldn’t even sense the limit of his energy!

Styl even suspected that maybe Kaito is a magic god in disguise... which means, even Kanzaki Kaori isn’t his opponent either!

”This mana... I can tell you are a magician... Yet, it is also holding the number 1 Esper position? What kind of sick joke is that?” Styl bravely retorted, but everyone can tell he’s feeling nervous.

”Oh, you can tell?” Kaito’s mouth curled up and teased, ”Then, do you really want to force your way out?”

Styl refused to answer that, but Kanzaki Kaori, despite knowing the difference in their strength, still courageous challenge him, ”Stiyl, leave the number 1 Esper to me.”

”You are certainly not his opponent.”

”How arrogant!” Aika retorted, ”You are not my darling opponent either, half-naked girl.”

”I know, but I will do my best to fight.” Kaori put on a fighting stance, ready to release her nodachi to strike Kaito and others. However, instead of Kaito, Aika took a step forward to block her. ”Sadly, your opponent is not him. I will be your opponent.”

Hearing what Aika said, everyone in the room (except the Kaito group) was stunned.

”Hmm? Who are you?”

”My name is Fuwa Aika, my magic name... errr... Exodus1, let’s fight with each other, saint.”

”What do you mean? Why should I fight you?” Kanzaki Kaori wasn’t surprised that Aika knew her identity, assuming she was also a magician... but her assumption quickly changed after witnessing her magic burst.

”Well... there’s no grudge, but I am interested in your magic and how strong I am right now compared to Saint.”

After that, Aika released her Exodus magic, a fiery red, dangerous aura surrounded her body... but unlike the usual ”greatsword”, what appeared in Aika’s hand was a katana, constructed by Exodus magic with a red magic aura eerie around it.

...!!!

”Fight me, and my darling will let you go,” Aika answered. ”If you can win, we will even solve the Index-chan problem for you.”

”What do you think?”

”Problem?”

Aika nods and taunts, ”Do you think your quest to erase Index memory was absurd? We know the truth behind your mission but we only answer if you received my offer.”

”Saa, choose, Kanzaki Kaori-san!” Aika then proceed pointing her Exodus katana at her, ”I am curious, how strong the famous saint in the world would like!”

...!!

Just being pointed by Exodus Katana, Kaori actually feels threatened by it, forcing her to grip her nodachi tightly. She could even feel unrecognizeable divine energy construct from her weapon, mean that the girl in front of her may be something like a ”hidden” saint in the Academy City.

Styl Magnus even retreated further back, afraid of the ’strange’ magic that Aika released, which clearly looked very violent and dangerous. After thinking for a while, Kaori realized it would be better for her to accept the deal, compared to a direct fight against Kaito and all of his equally dangeorus friend.

”Alright. My name is Kanzaki Kaori, a Necessarius church magician, and my magic name is Salvare000.”

”If you promise that we will both fight 1 vs 1, then I agree with this deal.” Kaori solemnly nods, then releases her two-meter-long nodachi called ”Shichiten Shichitou,” which means she took this duel very seriously.

”I promise.”

Aika responded, then started activating her Exodus magic, amplifying her body strength to the point where she’s almost equal to Kanzaki Kaori in a physical sense. In response, Kanzaki Kaori applied various blessings and magic buffs started activating in her body... which intimidated everyone in the scene.

...!!!

Neither of them dares to underestimate the other. Aika knows better how strong the saint in front of her is from the plot, while Kaori can feel the existence of a divine being literally inside Aika, making her extremely wary of her.

Both women were ready to clash, but Kaito quickly intervened and said, ”Uh, I am sorry, girls, but let’s not fight here.”

””Umm??”” (Kaori/Aika)

”Our poor friend Kamijou Touma won’t be able to afford the repair cost, so how about I set the stage for you two?”

””...””

”Kaito... you are really my best friend.” Touma couldn’t help but spill a tear after hearing Kaito’s suggestion, saving him from being homeless after tonight.

Seeing the pitiful appearance of Touma’s broken apartment, everyone agrees with Kaito’s proposal to hold the fight somewhere. Besides that, their fight was destined to be destructive in nature, which definitely alarmed the security, so either way, they needed to fight in a location that wouldn’t warn the Academy City authority.
