The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After successfully inviting them, Touma and Index came in with Kaito and Aika to their big apartment room. Although it’s her first time at Index, she has easily gotten along with everyone in the room, and everyone also accepted her.

With an hour left before dinner time, Kaito then invited both of them to play a game together to build a good relationship with Index. He chose a bootleg Mario Kart from this world to play together (4 player). Although its first time playing Index to play it, she quickly gets used to the controller.

On the other hand, Touma, while he’s more skilled than Index, does badly in the game since his bad luck apparently also works inside video games.

”Ah, why do I get bombed again?!” Touma yelled in frustration, seeing his kart in the last position again.

”Pffft! Touma, you were so bad in this game!” Index mocked him, belated on his misfortune.

”It’s not that I am bad, my luck is just so bad!”

”...Touma, even in a game, you were really unlucky,” Kaito smirked, amused to see someone far more unlucky than him at least in daily basis.

”Honestly, I think you should never try to pick up the random box,” Aika suggested amusingly.

”To get 3 zonk in the crates. Even my luck wasn’t that bad.” Kaito nods in agreement.

”But if I didn’t get the box, it means I wouldn’t get any powerup, and there’s no way I’d win,” Touma replied depressingly.

”But... with your luck, Touma-san, I am sorry... ” Ravel also commented, ”You can’t win the game...”

”...”

Hearing such a comment from nice Ravel, Touma couldn’t help but be depressed even further, but he also couldn’t refute. After all, she was right about his luck literally hindering him from winning a match. Even without a crate box, sometimes his controller bugging or lag... makes his game experience even more miserable.

While Touma, Index, and others were playing together enthusiastically, their apartment doorbell suddenly rang, indicating more guests were coming for dinner. Since Kaito was basically inviting everyone he knew, Misaka and her friend were naturally included in the invitation, and they were the first ones among the guests to come to Kaito’s apartment.

*RING*

”Alright, I will open the door.” Kaito stood up and walked to the door, opening it for Misaka and her friend, ”Pause the game for a bit, okay.”

*Click*

”Hello everyone, we are here with the snack!” Saten enthusiastically greeted everyone in the room.

Then... Saten, Uiharu, Kuroko, and lastly Misaka come into the apartment in order, bringing a lot of snacks with them. Thankfully, their apartment has been expanded ever since Aika and Manaka stayed in this world. The apartment isn’t so cramped anymore, even with so many people in it.

”Good evening.” Uiharu followed.

”Excuse me,” Kuroko added.

”I guess we are too early, but good evening, Kaito.” Misaka is coming in last and noticed Index’s existence.”It seems the dinner this time is going to have more guests.”

Kaito nods and greets them back, ”Hello, Misaka and friends. Just get in while we are waiting for dinner.”

However, the moment Touma saw Misaka in the room, he couldn’t help but be wary since he had so many bad experiences with this girl before. (getting chased by Misaka all the time while living in this city for at least a year)

...!!

”Biri-biri, you are here?!”

”My name is Misaka Mikoto, you damn hedgehog hair!” Misaka complained, also surprised to see Touma here, ”Also, everyone here is my friend; of course, I am also here!”

”Really?”

”About that... Yeah.” Feeling Touma stare, Kaito nods and explains, ”Misaka is our great friend, even before we came to this city.”

”Is that so? Then, you guys need to be careful, she’s liable to electrocute people around!” Touma warned everyone seriously, which made almost everyone in the room laugh together.

””Pffft...””

”Shut up!”

*Crackle* *Crackle* *Crackle*

...!!!

Hearing Touma’s provocation, Misaka unconsciously releasing mini electric current to the surroundings, and Ravel quickly reminded her in a hurry, ”Misaka-san! Please be careful not use your ability here. Sakuya would be mad!”

”See? I told you she’s dangerous!” Touma exclaimed in panic.

”Ah, I am sorry.” Misaka quickly apologized, but was still glaring at Touma, ”This is all because of you. Go outside, right now, I am gonna beat you!”

”Hiek!!! What did Mr. Kamijou do to you?!”

Hearing Misaka’s threat, Touma couldn’t help but be scared. He knows very well how powerful Misaka is, and in his opinion, the only reason he was surviving every encounter with her was that she never took him seriously.

But if Misaka is truly mad, then Touma is really afraid of her literally throwing lightning at him.

...

Seeing the situation getting weirder, Kuroko spoke up to ease the atmosphere, ”Uh, I think you need to be calm, Onee-sama. We are here for dinner and get along with everyone.”

”Indeed. Let’s just sit down and wait for Sakuya-san to come with dinner.” Uiharu also persuaded.

”Alright then....”

In the end, Misaka was successfully persuaded by her friends, as she was also afraid that Sakuya would be angry at her. Misaka and others then quickly settle down and join others waiting for dinner, with Misaka and Kuroko talking with Ravel about fashion, and Uiharu and Saten also talking with Manaka about Academy City.

”Touma, nee Touma, that biri-biri lady really doesn’t like you,” Index commented with a smirk. Since Touma broke her walking church earlier, she has been resent him for a while, and it was great to see his misfortune.

”It’s not my fault,” Touma replied with a resigned tone.

In his opinion, every encounter with Misaka wasn’t his fault, as he was usually just trying to save her from the thugs of Academy City... yet this lady loves to chase him!

”Well... I can understand you. Misaka doesn’t get along with me either.” Kaito pats Touma’s shoulder with sympathy.

In his opinion, Misaka perhaps just has bad compatibility with Imagine Breaker users; he couldn’t explain why Misaka and he never get along that well, even after years in the chat group.

”Wait... Really?”

”That’s right. Misaka and Kaito weren’t getting along that much.” Aika confirmed, ”Although these days much better, in the old day, they were always in a fight or conflict with each other.”

”Hmmph. That’s because this guy also usually offended me.” Misaka retorted.

”See, Touma? Don’t worry, if Misaka dares to beat you, I will help you fight her too!” Kaito promised.

”Really? Mr. Kamijou is really thankful for your help!”

Hearing Kaito promise, Kamijou Touma feels much more at ease since he believes that if there’s someone who could fight Misaka the number 2, it must be Kaito, the number 1 Esper of Academy City. Touma wasn’t wrong, if anything, Misaka would never attempted to fight Kaito, as she was fully aware how ridiculously strong Kaito was compared to her.

”Kaito-san, you sound like a bully...” Ravel commented helplessly, ”You know Misaka-san wouldn’t dare to fight you.”

”It can’t be helped. She’s the one who likes picking fights here. You can’t deny that among all members, Misaka undoubtedly is the one who likes to fight the most.”

”...”

Hearing Kaito’s statement, Misaka couldn’t help but blush and was unable to retort, fully aware he was basically right. Back then, when she was in SAO, she literally formed a security team to fight evil player, in Naruto, she literally picked a fight with Kumogakure just because she was curious about their lightning jutsus, and many similar cases happen in other worlds too.

After that, everyone continue get along with each other-- either playing games together or tasting snacks that Misaka and friend brought for everyone, like close friends. With many guests coming, later on, Aika decides to help Sakuya in the kitchen-- and Misaka quickly joins the competition against Touma and others, beating him mercilessly on that topic.

Although Misaka couldn’t beat Touma physically, in the end, she still beat him, regardless, inside a game-- making Touma feel more miserable.

A half hour later, after Misaka came in, the last guests for their grand dinner were coming in, which naturally included Kaito’s personal employee, Frenda Seivlun, and Gokusai Kaibi. Both of them were coming wearing a pretty white dress in match, and since their hair color were similar, they looked like sisters.

As they were coming in, both of them were surprised to see how many people were in the apartment right now, especially when they realized the number of female were much more than the number of males in the room.

...

”Hmm... it seems our boss really knows a lot of female companions.” Kaibi remarked, sitting on dinner table while sipping on red wine with interest, ”On top of one of the directors, the number 2 Esper is also his girlfriend?”

””Hell nah.”” Misaka and Kaito retorted together.

”Onee-sama is mine!” Kuroko exclaimed, ”Besides, Kaito-san already has multiple girlfriends!”

”That’s right! There’s no way I would join that guy’s harem!” Misaka added.

”Then, Onee-sama, you agreed to become my lover!?” Kuroko reacted, suddenly filled with joy.

”NOT YOU TOO!” Misaka complained.

”Is that so? Doesn’t it mean we have a chance to join?”

Hearing the commotion about Kaito’s lover, Kaibi’s eyes lit up as she came up with an idea, ”Both Frenda and Frenda have blonde hair and are comparable to all of your lovely girlfriends, so what do you think, Kaito-san?”

”Eh, me too? But indeed I don’t really mind becoming the boss lover.” Frenda commented as she knew her future would be guaranteed as long as Kaito became her lover. In fact, that thought process is also the same for Kaibi.

None of them is blind to the fact that Kaito, on top of being quite good-looking, also possesses unimaginable wealth and strength, which makes him a perfect boyfriend candidate.

”See?” Kaibi chuckles and then asks seriously, ”So do you accept us, too, master?”

”That’s actually an interesting proposal. I would like to hear Kaito answer.” (Aika)

”Me too.” (Sakuya)

”Count me in.” (Manaka)

Feeling the hostile glare from Manaka, Aika, Sakuya, and Ravel... Kaito couldn’t help but feel really nervous at the moment. He realized while Frenda was honest, Kaibi was more wild and daring... as expected of a woman who used to work as a hostess for rich old men (not in a sexual manner).

However, Kaito also couldn’t deny that their appearance does attract him, and there might be a possibility that they also become his lover or coccubine in the future. After all, Kaito planned to recruit them directly back to the base world to work for him more... which made him felt a pang of guilt.

”Errr.... Can we talk about it later?” Kaito raised his hand, expressed a surrender, ”Anyway, let’s start the dinner party, otherwise you girls are  going to get home pretty late!”

”He tried to avoid it.” (Aika)

”Indeed.” (Ravel)

”It can’t be helped. But I guess Kaito-san didn’t reject us, so we do have a chance.” (Kaibi)

”Please stop it.” Kaito rolled his eyes and complained, ”Sit down at the table; otherwise, I will cut your wage for not respecting your director.”

”Capitalist boss.”

After that, everyone starts the dinner together while also having a short party and having fun together.

The older member of the group, Kaito, Manaka, and Sakuya, joined by Kaibi, were clinking their glasses and enjoying wine together. The younger group of girls, Aika, Ravel, Frenda, and Misaka, with their friends, decide to turn on the karaoke device and take turns in singing. As for the youngest group of people, Index and Est quickly get along, as both of them have white hair and glutton, eating the most dishes at the table.

As for the protagonist, being unlucky as usual, while he was about to take a photo to commemorate, Touma accidentally slips his phone into the soup, turning it into amusement for others.

>>>>

The short dinner party turned out to be pretty great and fun for everyone... but at the same time, on the outside, across their apartment building roof, all of them were currently observed by 2 dangerous people who came for Index, the Necessarius church saint Kanzaki Kaori, and Stiyl Magnus.

...

”Kanzaki-san, Index was protected by so many strong people right now. We can’t grab him without creating conflict with them.” Stiyl commented while observing and smoking a cigar.

Despite being 14 years old teenager, his appearance would be mistaken for an adult in his late 20s thanks to his demeanor and personality. On the other hand, Kanzaki Kaori, 18 years old not look like someone with a title saint at all... wearing a short white T-shirt tied into a knot at the bottom, literally revealing her belly button-- then on the bottom wearing dark blue jeans with one pant leg cut off to be very short.

”Then, let’s wait until the party ends, and then we can grab Index together.” Kanzaki Kaori suggested calmly, ”We just can’t afford to have conflict with 2 level 5 Esper in the city.”

...

The news about Kaito’s strength was already spread around, even to the magical side, thanks to the ruckus Kaito’s group caused back then when they dealt with the dark side of Academy City.

What they didn’t know was that the entire Kaito group was actually aware of their peeping, thanks to every single member having a good mastery of Observation Haki... but they chose to ignore them for now, since according to the plot, they will still come for Index later anyway.
