Chapter 1327: Chapter 1326: No Choice but to Go Off-Style

With the help of the Holy Light and curse removal, Fang Zheng easily healed those who were poisoned by the corpse toxin, and these people were naturally full of gratitude towards Fang Zheng and his companions.

”So, you all are from Black River Town?”

Fang Zheng found that places with ’Black’ in their names seemed prone to yokai, as there was an old demon from Black Mountain before, and now a horde of zombies in Black River Town...

”Yes, Celestial Immortal, those zombies have now occupied our town, and we cannot return home...”

The leading elder spoke with deep emotion, tears flowing from his eyes.

”Please, Celestial Immortal, take action, subjugate the demons and exorcise them. We will be forever grateful...”

”Don’t worry, that is also why we have come here.”

Fang Zheng comforted the elder with a few words, then proceeded to lead Zhao Ling’er and others along the mountain path towards Black River Town.

The journey from Shirakawa Village to Black River Town wasn’t far; it took only half a day for ordinary people, and for Fang Zheng and the others, it was just a matter of tens of minutes. But when they arrived at the boundary of Black River Town, the scene before their eyes made everyone frown involuntarily.

”Tsk tsk tsk, this ghost place is even worse than Raccoon City.”

Looking at Black River Town ahead, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but sigh. Although there are zombies everywhere in the world of Resident Evil, everything else is relatively normal. But here, as soon as he stepped into Black River Town, Fang Zheng felt like he was no longer treading on solid land but on the rotten, decaying flesh of corpses. The trees in this land looked lifeless, with twisted branches, and upon closer inspection, it seemed there were faces contorted in pain and screaming on the tree trunks...

”There’s such a heavy presence of evil here...”

Zhao Ling’er also wore a serious expression. Although she had considered the situation in Black River Town, it was even more severe than she imagined.

”Brother Fang, how about just burning this place down?”

Lin Yueru frowned, uneasily gazing at Black River Town ahead, but Fang Zheng waved his hand.

”No, this is the homeland of those people from Black River Town after all. If it were burned down, where would they live in the future? Don’t worry, once we deal with the zombie plague here, these people can return to their homeland.”

If it were Raccoon City, Fang Zheng would have burned it all down without a second thought. The life and immigration issues of Americans had nothing to do with him. But now, since this was his homeland, Fang Zheng had to consider it a bit more. Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Lin Yueru pursed her lips and said nothing more.

After all, Fang Zheng had a point.

”What do we do next, Brother Fang?”

”First, clear the zombies in the town...no, the jiangshi, and then we’ll go trouble the prime culprit!”

Although the jiangshi in the World of the Immortal Sword are stronger than the zombies in the Bio-World, and some even have special abilities, the people on Fang Zheng’s side are not amateurs. With Fang Zheng’s command, Zhao Ling’er and Lin Yueru immediately rushed into Black Water Town, battling the zombies they faced.

Unlike the zombies in Resident Evil, which are as slow as an octogenarian and hoarse as a long-night youth, only relying on numbers, the undead in this world have a taste of Hong Kong ghost movies. They too are decaying all over, with tattered clothing, hopping like rabbits, arms straight out, and upon seeing prey, they pounce with leaps.

But their brains don’t work very well.

Seeing one pounce towards Zhao Ling’er only to trip over a rock and fall flat, Fang Zheng thought idly.

You could provide a ton of scientific arguments for zombies walking, and also for jiangshi walking.

But for jiangshi hopping...how could that be explained?

Talking about it, why do jiangshi hop to move?

While Fang Zheng was pondering, Zhao Ling’er and Lin Yueru had begun fighting with the zombies. Lin Yueru wielded a long whip, repelling the approaching jiangshi, then continuously using her Sword Qi Finger, sending waves of energy tearing into the jiangshi, even their Copper Skin Iron Bones couldn’t help but show holes.

Next, Zhao Ling’er formed incantations, summoning thunder and fire, winds rising and waves surging, quickly knocking down several jiangshi to the ground, silent. It seemed these two still coordinated well.

”Roar—!! Meat!!! Delicious meat!”

While Fang Zheng was perplexed, a group of zombies was also leaping towards him.

”Looks like I’ll have to take action too...”

Seeing the zombies charging over, Fang Zheng gripped his greatsword tightly, then leapt forward, heading towards the zombies. At the same time, his Pitch Black Greatsword emitted dazzling Holy Radiance, swooping down like a meteor!!

With one slash from Fang Zheng, the shining Holy Light erupted, instantly executing a Judgment, slicing the leading zombie in half. Meanwhile, other zombies rushed over, poised to pounce. In this critical moment, Fang Zheng held the greatsword upside down and stabbed it forcefully into the ground.

In an instant, Holy Light spread and burst everywhere, those affected retreated in agony and wailing.

Fang Zheng executed the Consecration technique effortlessly and naturally wouldn’t stop there. He raised his greatsword high, and the golden radiance transformed into a warhammer, swirling and dispersing at his side, reducing the zombies to ashes in the blink of an eye.

This is precisely the Paladin’s signature skill Divine Storm... The scene is completely off-track, I say!!

Fang Zheng put down his greatsword, looked at himself helplessly, and then glanced at Zhao Ling’er and Lin Yueru beside him — watching them switch between Five Energies Returning to the Origin, Sword Qi Finger, and One Yang Finger.

As for his side, it was just Judgment, Verdict, Consecration, and Storm...

Completely not the same style, alright!

But now... forget it, even if it’s not the same style, there’s nothing to be done about it.

As for Aika... she had no intention of taking action at all, just following the crowd and enjoying the show.

The zombies in Black River Town weren’t too many, and with Fang Zheng’s remarkable strength, he quickly dealt with them effortlessly. Although Zhao Ling’er and Lin Yueru both had their skills, their practical experience was still no match for Fang Zheng, so it took them a little longer, but it wasn’t a major issue.

After clearing the zombies in Black River Town, Fang Zheng and the others followed the direction the zombies spread from, coming to a cemetery not far outside Black River Town, which the people of the town had told them about. However, Fang Zheng naturally knew what was beneath.

Blood pool, Red Demon King.

This time, however, Fang Zheng had no intention of going through a maze again; he had long overcome the childhood shadow of labyrinths in the World of the Immortal Sword. Besides, it’s just a general’s tomb, from the Sui Dynasty no less, which had lost its value eighty years ago. Might as well just burn it all down!

”Are you ready?”

Standing in the cemetery, Fang Zheng looked towards Zhao Ling’er and Lin Yueru, who both nodded in response.

”Ready, Master.”

”No problem, Brother Fang!”

”Great!”

Hearing their responses, Fang Zheng nodded and then suddenly raised the pitch-black greatsword, stabbing it fiercely into the ground!

”Boom!!!”

In an instant, the ground shook and the mountains quaked.

The entire cemetery shook violently as if an eighth-rank earthquake had erupted, and the nearby general’s tomb collapsed directly. Soon, a giant hollow appeared out of nowhere, accompanied by billowing black smoke emanating from within, mixed with a nauseating stench of blood.

”Who dares destroy my blood pool!!”

Accompanied by an angry roar, a yokai in a red robe with three eyes flew out furiously. Upon seeing Fang Zheng and his group, the Red Demon King’s eyes widened, looking hideous.

”Is it you who destroyed my blood pool and ruined my plans?”

While speaking, the Red Demon King raised his hand, and suddenly there was a gust of sinister wind accompanied by wailing sounds. Countless vengeful spirits appeared around him, and with a command from the Red Demon King, these spirits immediately turned into waves, rushing towards Fang Zheng.

”Tsk tsk tsk, so many spirits... if only I had Frostmourne in my hands, that would be awesome...”

Looking at the army of vengeful spirits before him, Fang Zheng clicked his tongue in wonder, then raised the pitch-black greatsword in his hand and swung it forcefully forward!

”Swish——!!”

The explosive flames extended instantly by a full forty meters, utterly obliterating the vengeful spirits and directly falling towards the Red Demon King, who couldn’t dodge in time. He was split in half by Fang Zheng’s forty-meter-long flame greatsword, and in the blink of an eye, amid a scream, the Red Demon King turned to ashes, going to keep the Old Demon of Black Mountain company.

”Alright, problem solved, Earth Spirit Pearl is in hand.”

Having slain the Red Demon King with one strike, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, watching the Earth Spirit Pearl leisurely fly towards him, obediently landing in his hand.

However, just at that moment, suddenly, an angry shout came from the sky.

”What demon dares to cause trouble here, see my sword!!”

Before the words finished, Fang Zheng saw a flash of sword light as a sharp blade flew straight towards him!
