Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1243: Chapter 1243: Finally Had a Few Words to Say

Back then, the reason she had a favorable impression of Trevor and agreed to the blind date was because her father kept whispering into her ear.

He kept speaking well of Trevor and showed her handsome photos.

Feelings, you know, they start with appearance and then become loyal to character.

So, under her father’s persistent persuasion, she agreed to the blind date.

”Um... Mr. Trevor, I think it’s necessary for me to explain something.”

Organizing her thoughts, Janelle Mills turned her gaze to him, ”The blind date was my dad’s idea. As for me, I just don’t dislike you, that’s all. It’s not like what my dad said, that I like you that much!”

He didn’t respond, as if he didn’t hear her.

But sitting right next to her, his ears weren’t deaf, he definitely heard.

”Think about it, we’ve never met, we don’t know each other, how could I like you so much?” She didn’t want him to misunderstand her as a love-struck fool, because love-struck fools usually don’t have much sense.

”Some things don’t need an explanation.” Trevor opened his thin lips slightly and spoke without looking at her, ”Anyway, we won’t have any interactions, and we won’t meet again in the future.”

”...” Janelle was at a loss for words.

She calmed down, her mind whirling quickly, ”No, I think it’s necessary for me to explain. I don’t like being misunderstood.”

”I didn’t misunderstand, this is just a small episode in my life.” Trevor’s distinct fingers flipped through a fashion magazine, seemingly engrossed in it.

Janelle was left hanging like that, and didn’t want to disturb him any further.

From Riventhal to Eldoria, it takes several hours.

Along the way, there was no communication between Trevor and Janelle. At first, she felt awkward, but later, she didn’t feel anything.

Because Trevor treated her like she was air, she treated him like air too.

When it was time to sleep, she slept. When it was time to listen to music, she listened to music.

Finally, after several hours —

The plane began to descend, the scenery outside the window becoming clearer and larger...she looked down, feeling great!

Trevor handed over a piece of gum, Janelle was taken aback, turned her gaze with surprise, seeing he was chewing.

He just looked at her, offering the gum, without saying a word.

She snapped back and quickly reached out to take it, ”Thank you.”

Trevor didn’t say, ’You’re welcome,’ as if he were arrogantly indifferent.

Janelle unwrapped it and put the gum between her lips, chewing it during the plane’s descent to alleviate ear discomfort.

Turns out, he’s quite a considerate person!

For some reason, when the girl looked out the window again, a faint smile appeared on her lips.

”Hey, what are you going to Emberfall for?” Her curiosity made her glance sideways and ask, up close, wow, this face is really handsome!

Elegantly handsome, the kind of guy who looks gentle as water even with a blank expression.

Even better-looking than those young idols on TV nowadays!

Staring at him like this, for a moment, the girl was actually lost in thought.

Trevor only replied with two words, ”For work.”

”Coming all this way, aren’t you planning to take your girlfriend out for a few days?” She treated him like a friend, ”I saw the news, you’re now the CEO of The Dalton Group, yet you came alone for business? Without even an assistant?”

The man lifted his eyelids, looking at her, ”Where do you get so many questions?”

”Um...”

”Refusal to answer.” Trevor looked away, instantly becoming cold again.

The atmosphere that had started to relax became awkward again.

Janelle sighed inwardly, men are such strange creatures, say a few more words and they assume you like them?

Isn’t that too narcissistic? Can’t even be friends?

Hmph, if not, then not. Who cares?

After getting off the plane, everyone walked along the passage towards the airport exit.

In the relatively empty hall, not far off, there was a circle of people, their expressions varied, discussing something. Clearly, something had happened.

Janelle and Trevor both saw it, with him three meters ahead.

But Trevor didn’t intend to bother, he was in a hurry, and it was about to rain. He quickened his pace and walked straight out!

Janelle, however, trotted alongside the people, dragging her suitcase, ”What’s going on here?” she asked in fluent English, gently parting the crowd, ”What’s happening?”
