Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1241: Chapter 1241: The Girl Who Lied

The girl stood up, ”Oh, by the way, it’s my mom’s birthday next Monday. Make sure you take some time to give her a call! If you don’t, things won’t ease up, and you two won’t be able to show up at my wedding together! It wouldn’t be good for either parent to be absent, right?”

”She’s... having a birthday?” Nathan Mills couldn’t remember at all, not even whether it was summer or winter.

”And by the way, my meeting with you in Riventhal, my mom doesn’t know about it!”

Janelle Mills specifically instructed, ”You better keep your mouth shut! Otherwise, if she finds out, the two of us will be separated forever!”

”Why is she still so stubborn?” The middle-aged man was speechless, ”How long is she planning to keep you to herself? You’re my daughter too! Can’t you talk some sense into her?”

”Isn’t it because you broke her heart?”

”I...”

”Alright! Let bygones be bygones! Love may fade, but family bonds remain. No matter what, we’re a family, so moving forward, let’s all get along well. At my wedding, let’s not make it awkward. As a man, you should take the initiative!”

After saying this, she picked up her suitcase and waved at her father, ”Goodbye! My dear father!”

”Janelle!” Nathan Mills stood up.

The girl paused and turned back, a beautiful smile appearing on her lips, ”Take good care of yourself with Aunt Sawyer! I wish you both well!” With that, she swiftly left!

His subordinates did not stop her anymore.

Nathan Mills sighed and sighed; this daughter of his still sides with her mother more!

Why has this relationship not warmed up?

Regarding such a major life event as marriage, how could he, as her father, deceive her?

Stylishly dressed, with long waves of black hair, Janelle Mills soon appeared at the airport.

She wore a pink short jacket paired with a yellow leather mini skirt; the colors casually matched, but her good figure and good looks made any outfit look appealing.

After getting her boarding pass, checking in her luggage, and passing through security, she listened to music with her headphones on and boarded the plane.

Sitting down in her window seat, the scenery outside was pleasant.

Taking out her phone from her bag, the screen in silent mode displayed the name ’Sister Sterling.’ She took a deep breath and was about to answer when the call was disconnected.

Subsequently, the girl widened her eyes to see 32 missed calls!

Janelle Mills took a deep breath, quickly redialed back, and glanced out the window.

At this moment, Trevor, dressed in a custom-made dark suit, appeared beside her, tall and checking his seat number before sitting down next to Janelle.

He didn’t pay attention to the girl beside him.

”Janelle!” On the call, her mother Carlotta Sterling asked angrily, ”Where did you go? Why didn’t you answer the phone? Did you go to Riventhal?!”

The other party’s voice was so loud that Trevor could hear bits of it.

”No, I’m in Eldoria.” The girl lowered her voice and smiled, ”Why would I go to Riventhal? I haven’t set foot there in 800 years, okay?” She sounded so convincing.

Upon hearing this, Trevor turned to look at her and caught sight of her profile.

She looked quite nice, but the way she could lie with a straight face was impressive too.

”You’re really not in Riventhal?! You didn’t go see your dad?!”

”I swear! I really am not in Riventhal! I didn’t see my dad! OK?” Janelle spoke with certainty, ”I’m in Eldoria, at Demi’s place.”

”Then let Demi answer the phone?”

”Mom!” Janelle was speechless, ”I trust you so much, why are you doubting me? Demi’s at her piano lesson, I’ll call you later!” She decided to brush it off for now!

”I’m warning you! I’ve worked hard to raise you this big, and if you dare see your dad, I’ll skin you alive!” This was Carlotta Sterling’s bottom line; her daughter was her everything!

”Right, right, I’m yours, all yours!”

Trevor was slightly taken aback; this girl’s voice... why did it sound familiar?

So, he turned to look at her again.
