Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1208: Chapter 1208: Clearing Things Up with Trevor

Staring at these four words, her heart fluttered with joy, her heartbeat inexplicably accelerated, and a smile appeared on the corners of her lips.

Because Ian Shelby is very busy, he might be performing surgery on a patient or being continuously consulted by the patient’s family.

But he replied almost instantly, which made Jocelyn Morgan very happy, and she quickly sent her location over.

A moment later, Ian’s message came through again, ”Are you alone?”

Could he be misunderstanding her relationship with Trevor?

Jocelyn quickly replied—Of course I’m alone!

Then Ian disappeared for a full five minutes, sitting on the rock, watching the screen as Jocelyn’s mood slowly darkened.

Did I disturb him?

What did he go off to do?

Just when she regretted sending a photo to share, his message came through again, ”Be safe outdoors and don’t come down from the mountain too late.”

The seemingly ordinary words carried a hint of concern.

Jocelyn’s mood brightened immediately; she lifted the corners of her lips and quickly replied, ”Are you busy?”

”Busy”

Looking at this word, Jocelyn was lost in thought, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Soon, the next message came through—”I’ll be heading into the operating room first.”

Staring at these six words, Jocelyn was quite pleased.

Is this what they call having everything settled?

So busy yet still taking time to reply?

”Alright, you go ahead and take care of your work.” She typed and sent her reply to him.

Then, the phone went quiet...

Watching the sunset on the horizon, she guessed that he should be heading into the operating room now?

The way a man holds a scalpel is truly handsome, alleviating a patient’s suffering, just like an angel with compassion and the ability to rescue all mankind.

Jocelyn admired him greatly, a sense of respect surging forth.

Sitting on the mountaintop, feeling the wind, until the sun gradually sank...

Jocelyn dialed Trevor’s number.

When Trevor saw the caller ID, he was particularly surprised, having just come out from the meeting room, he stopped and immediately answered, ”Hello, Jocelyn.” His voice was full of tension, thinking she might be in some trouble.

”Trevor, are you busy?” Jocelyn stood up from the rock, her voice gentle as the wind.

”Not busy, go ahead.”

Her initiative to call him made him very happy.

”Trevor, I want to give you an answer now, I really can’t delay it any longer.” Jocelyn’s speech was slow, carrying an apology.

The warmth in Trevor’s heart sank a bit.

On the mountaintop, she turned her gaze towards the distant horizon, ”Thank you for your affection, but I already have someone I like in my heart.”

”Is it Ian Shelby?” Trevor wanted to know.

”...” Jocelyn didn’t admit it, but silence was the best answer.

Trevor chuckled, stepping forward, ”He is a doctor, he will be very busy, if you want to be with him, you must have enough tolerance, you understand now that you like him, but what about in the future?”

”Trevor, this is my affair.” Jocelyn didn’t like to dissect feelings too thoroughly, ”Love is inherently irrational, thank you.”

After saying that, she directly hung up the phone.

Feeling very apologetic inside, but some matters cannot be solved with a mere sorry or saying it’s alright.

They need time to pass.

Originally planning to actively pursue her, giving gifts, inviting her to see the scenery, Trevor’s plans were declared defunct before they even started.

To him, it’s a setback.

On the path down the mountain, amidst couples walking alongside each other, Jocelyn had her earphones on, listening to music as the image of Ian Shelby in a fluttery white coat flashed through her mind.

He is professional, wise, calm, and learned.

He is like a ray of light, not belonging to her, yet illuminating her.
