Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1226: Chapter 1226: An Accidental Encounter at the Bar

”Hmm.” Ian Shelby also looked at her, ”Are you looking for me?”

”No, I’m not looking for you.” Mia Lane smiled, hooked her arm through Trevor’s, glanced at her brother, ”We’re going to see Ethan, Ethan misses his brother.”

Ian Shelby nodded, Jocelyn Morgan always deliberately avoided Trevor’s gaze.

Because Trevor’s gaze was intense and unabashed, always fixed on her face without blinking.

”Brother, let’s go now, don’t keep Ethan waiting.” Mia Lane’s voice was sweet, pulling Trevor forward, she glanced back at them and said, ”Goodbye.”

”Goodbye.” Ian Shelby smiled, hearing the footsteps gradually fade away, then his eyes turned slightly cool, because he saw Trevor’s reluctance.

He wrapped his arm around Jocelyn Morgan’s shoulder, leading her into the elevator.

The two remained silent, the atmosphere a bit awkward, especially Jocelyn Morgan, her heart was complicated, she’s most afraid of owing others in this life.

As evening approached.

Vera Ford was off work, driving aimlessly around the streets.

She didn’t want to go home.

In the vast room, she was alone, everything she did reminded her of Ian Shelby, and that feeling was really tormenting.

She didn’t have dinner, wasn’t hungry at all, felt full from being upset with Jocelyn Morgan.

Slowly accepting this fact, she disliked that woman even more!

After driving alone on the road for an hour, she finally stopped outside a bar.

Vera Ford rarely came to such places, but had been a couple of times.

When the negative emotions can’t be self-digested, coming to drown in alcohol is also a good choice.

Vera Ford got out of the car and walked into the bar, a young male waiter approached, ”Miss, there’s a seat this way, what would you like to order?”

Vera Ford was in a bad mood, so she didn’t respond.

She just walked straight towards the bar, sat on a high stool, and queued for a cocktail.

Watching the bartender’s dazzling performance, her mood didn’t improve, and the music in her ear wasn’t loud, the slow lyrics carried a certain melancholic touch—

”Time is the thief who steals away fate, longing is the ghost lingering in the heart, you are the beauty buried in memories, a lifetime of twists and turns...”

Changing lights cast upon her face, she took a sip of the drink.

Vera Ford inadvertently raised her eyes, seeing a familiar figure not far away, that person was seated on a curved sofa, looking somewhat lonely.

She fixed her gaze.

Trevor had come to the bar after visiting Ethan at the hospital.

When not wanting to work, he couldn’t help but think of her.

He ordered a bottle of whiskey, sat alone on the sofa, poured some into the empty wine glass, and took a sip.

This man liked Jocelyn Morgan, Vera Ford knew, quite the coincidence.

So, she walked towards him with the cocktail.

But was stopped by a man, Vera Ford was slightly taken aback, looked at him, he stood straight, quite handsome.

Turns out Trevor brought his men to prevent disturbances?

”I know him, just want to say a few words.” Vera Ford spoke seriously, not like a woman randomly trying to strike up a conversation.

Trevor heard her and raised his eyes, his deep gaze fell on Vera Ford, not having any impression of her.

The subordinate saw Trevor didn’t explicitly stop her, so when Vera Ford walked towards him, the subordinate didn’t forcibly stop her either.

Vera Ford’s gaze, filled with a smile, rested on Trevor.

She stood with her wine glass before him, then sat beside him.

”Jocelyn Morgan and Ian Shelby are together, you know about this, right?” Vera Ford glanced at him, noticing how good-looking he was.

Bringing up the sensitive subject.

Trevor’s eyes flashed with something, holding the wine glass, he looked at her.

”Who are you?” His voice was hoarse.

Vera Ford seriously thought for a moment, withdrew her gaze and looked at the wine glass in her hand with a bitter smile, ”My situation is quite similar to yours.” After speaking, she took a sip of wine, her heart stinging a little.
