Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1202: Chapter 1202: Entangled by a Hater

Vera Ford felt gloomy as she turned and left with the information in hand.

Even if Jocelyn isn’t around, can she still affect Ian’s mood?

As evening approached, the sunset was breathtaking.

Cecilia Dunn accompanied Jocelyn Morgan downstairs, where the two girls sat around the coffee table, indulging in various snacks. Cecilia wiped away her tears; though her eyes were still swollen, she looked much better.

Jocelyn’s advice was indeed effective.

Cecilia’s parents were especially warm to Jocelyn, their words full of gratitude.

After finishing the snacks, when Jocelyn was about to leave, Cecilia walked her out to the yard, saying, ”Don’t worry! I will live well! Even if the sky falls, I’ll hold it up! I won’t do anything foolish again!”

”Having this resolve puts me at ease!” Jocelyn happily embraced her. ”Let go of Howard Sawyer; you will eventually meet the right person.”

”Oh, thank Dr. Shelby for me.” Cecilia abruptly remembered, ”He’s your friend, so you must see each other often.”

”Not that often actually, he’s a doctor, so I don’t see him unless I’m sick.” Jocelyn replied casually, ”No worries, I’ll thank him next time we meet!”

”Be sure to invite him for a meal! I’ll pay!”

Jocelyn took a taxi to leave.

Because her car had a scuff that morning, it was repaired and returned to the Morgan family, all arranged by Ian Shelby.

”Driver, please stop at the intersection ahead.” She needed to visit a bookstore.

Last time she came to buy ”Zhui Xu”, she found it had sold out.

Since a friend wrote it, she wanted to buy a set to keep for collection, and hopefully get it signed someday.

The taxi stopped a short distance ahead.

Jocelyn scanned to pay and got out of the car.

The beautiful sunset shone down on her; she barely took a step toward the bookstore when an enthusiastic fan dashed towards her!

Indeed, blocking her way!

This sudden approach startled her!

”Jocelyn! Have dinner with me!” The person exclaimed, eyes shining.

”You are...” Jocelyn felt it was unexpected; she didn’t know this person, yet he knew her name??

”I’m Morton! I added you on WeChat a month ago! I’m a fan of yours!” The man, about thirty, with a round face and stout figure, enthusiastically leaned his face toward Jocelyn, ”I don’t usually post selfies on Moments, so it’s normal you don’t remember me!”

The man had a pungent smell, and Jocelyn instinctively retreated two steps.

She remembered him; he often harassed her with plot discussions and even rewarded her novel. Ignoring him led to negative comments in the reviews.

Jocelyn looked awkward, ”Sorry, I’m here to buy a book.”

”Come on, it’s dinner time!” The male fan grabbed her arm, ”My uncle owns a restaurant nearby! Let’s go for dinner! My treat today!”

He had an air of not letting her escape.

”No, no, no...” Jocelyn struggled, ”I’m not hungry!” In public, pulling like this, what is this?

”Let go of me! I have things to do!” She was frantic!

”Just come in for a bit! I’ve asked you out several times but you never come, today finally I ran into you! I won’t let you go!” The man pulled forcefully, ”Jocelyn, I’m really fond of you!”

”Let go of me!” Jocelyn was scared, ”Let go! Help!”

”Jocelyn, come with me!”

”Help me!!” Jocelyn struggled hard, ”Let go of me!”

The people around didn’t know what happened and quickly moved away.

Not far away, Trevor was about to get in his car. Hearing the noise, he turned and saw the scene, furrowed his brow, threw his bag into the car, and swiftly ran over!

Just as the two were tangled up, Trevor grabbed the man’s collar and threw a punch straight at his face!

”Ah—!” He sent him flying!

Jocelyn was also forcefully released, and Trevor turned swiftly to pull her into his embrace, as she slammed into his strong, warm chest.

When Jocelyn steadied, Trevor released her and went up to continue fiercely beating the man!

Every punch carried anger!
