Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1204: Chapter 1204: Maybe They Both Have Feelings for Each Other

On the riverbank.

Jocelyn Morgan held the phone that had been hung up. She was a bit stunned, feeling a bit down, and didn’t feel like calling back.

She walked alone in the direction of the Morgan family...

What should she do about Trevor?

She only considered him a friend, a very good friend, a trustworthy friend, and had never thought of dating him.

To ask her to consider, and then not listen to her decision, what kind of thing was that?

It was the first time she had encountered such a situation, and Jocelyn really didn’t know how to handle it.

However, she could clearly see Trevor’s affection and obsession with her, and it felt heavy inside.

That night.

Jocelyn was destined to be sleepless because Ian Shelby had hung up the phone.

At eleven at night, after spending the day consoling Cecilia Dunn, she was actually very tired both physically and mentally.

Holding the phone, Jocelyn stared at Ian Shelby’s number, unable to help wondering if he needed her for something that afternoon?

He hung up as soon as he heard Trevor’s voice, was he... angry?

The same night.

The lights were brightly lit in Ian Shelby’s villa.

He wasn’t asleep either. Having just taken a shower, he stood by the window holding his phone, gazing at the bright moon hanging in the sky outside the window.

His handsome face showed some tranquility, a serene aloofness.

Just attended a two-hour online class, a way to review and learn anew.

He was always like this, feeling life was short, constantly enriching himself day after day.

But whenever he had free time, he couldn’t help but think of that girl, didn’t she reject Trevor?

Why was she together with him again?

From what was said, Trevor was still confessing!

This gave Ian Shelby an intangible sense of pressure. He stopped thinking, picked up his phone, and directly dialed Jocelyn Morgan’s number!

Without bothering what time it was.

To him, a bit of irrationality.

In an upstairs bedroom of the Morgan family, just as Jocelyn Morgan gathered the courage, finally prepared to call Ian Shelby, her phone suddenly rang in her palm!

It startled her so much that she nearly lost her soul!

The name ’Dr. Shelby’ popped up. Without much thought, Jocelyn connected the call and cautiously pressed the phone to her ear, ”Hello.”

”Are you asleep?” Ian Shelby’s gentle voice came through.

”Not yet.” Jocelyn was quite happy, playfully responding, ”How could I answer the phone if I were asleep?”

Sitting down on the edge of the bed, she felt her heartbeat inexplicably speed up.

”Hmm.” Actually, Ian didn’t know what to say to her either. He was silent for a few seconds, maybe his mind went blank.

”Is your friend okay?” After a while, Ian asked.

Jocelyn’s thoughts drifted, was this call a doctor’s inquiry?

So it didn’t mean anything else?

”She seems to have thought it through, I spent a day with her, she’s doing quite well.” Jocelyn reported honestly, ”I said a bunch of big and small truths, oh, she asked me to invite you for a meal, to thank you for saving her life.”

”Just a small effort.” Ian never took it to heart.

The brief silence made both of them feel awkward.

Just when Jocelyn felt quite awkward, Ian asked her, ”Did you finish your update today?”

”I didn’t write today, I have some drafts, I’m planning to go out and play for a few days, to clear my mind.”

”Bring your laptop, okay?”

”Of course.” Suddenly, Jocelyn didn’t know what to say to him, she really wanted to talk to him, yet couldn’t seem to find a topic.

”Then, sleep early.” Ian was about to hang up.

”Okay, you too.”

The call ended, and Jocelyn let out a small sigh of relief.

Not long after, a WeChat message sounded, and she opened the message to see.

Ian had sent her two words – goodnight.

And in Jocelyn’s eyes, these two words were filled with ambiguity, she never casually told anyone goodnight.

Because the pinyin for goodnight is wanan, the initials of ’I love you love you’.

With a slight smile, her head heated up, she replied with ’wanan’.
