Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 1210: Chapter 1210: Handing the Company Over to Him

David Dalton looked at him, thought for a moment before confirming who his son meant by ’she’.

”Did she say anything?” the father asked.

Trevor said, ”She rejected me.”

As the words fell, a hint of sadness tugged at his heart. He slightly tilted his head back and drank the wine in his glass in one gulp. That bitter pain made him feel the taste of loss every second.

The night was silent...

David Dalton pondered again, speaking softly, ”Does she have someone she likes?” It was hard to understand why such an outstanding son would be rejected by a girl.

The image of Ian Shelby flashed before Trevor’s eyes, ”Seems like it.”

David Dalton leaned forward and clinked glasses with him, ”Son, let me tell you, in a choice between two, the one who is abandoned is actually the luckiest.”

Sigh, perhaps, but Trevor still felt regret.

It’s the first time in his life he’s felt such a stir in his heart. It’s precious and rare.

David Dalton also told him, ”Some people encounter love at 18, some at 25, and these are all appropriate ages. Actually, some meet love at 60, which is also appropriate, because their blood is boiling, their heart is racing, and waiting is a worthy period of appreciation.”

He got up, patted his son’s shoulder, ”You will meet the right person eventually.”

Not wanting his father to worry too much, Trevor lightly lifted the corner of his mouth, ”I’m fine, Dad.”

David Dalton poured him some more wine, and then the father and son gently clinked glasses, each taking a small sip.

The night deepened.

”CEO Kingston recently brought me good news,” David Dalton told him, ”The culprit who wronged you has been found. They not only surrendered their company shares but will also spend the rest of their life in prison.”

”Stella told me about it,” Trevor breathed a sigh of relief, ”Truly satisfying, those worms in the company.”

”Actually, I always suspected them, but just lacked evidence,” David Dalton said, ”CEO Kingston has real skills. Now that Stella is with him, I am really at ease.”

”That’s my sister’s fortune,” Trevor lightly swirled his wine glass, ”And also Justin Kingston’s fortune.”

”Therefore.” David Dalton fixed his gaze on his face, speaking very seriously, ”I’ve decided to officially announce your identity and pass the position of CEO to you.”

Trevor was shocked! He looked up.

Father said, ”I think you can handle it, you have skills, you’re calm in your actions.”

”No!” He instinctively refused, ”You’re still young! It’s not time to step down at all!”

”Trevor, listen to me.”

”Dad, The Dalton Group is the result of your years of hard work, and the company’s development is thriving and stable.”

”I’ve considered it thoroughly.” David Dalton was not probing him. He said, ”Ethan lost his mother, fatherly love cannot be absent any longer. I owe Stella her whole childhood, I also owe you, I’m painfully aware, I cannot owe him again.”

”...” Trevor was speechless, seeing his father’s furrowed brow.

”Trevor, consider it helping your dad.”

He suddenly understood his father’s thoughts, the corners of his mouth lifted slightly, ”There are gains and losses. If Stella hadn’t left the Dalton family, she might not have been able to marry Justin Kingston. You don’t need to blame yourself, I’m doing just fine, aren’t I?”

”Right.” That was what comforted David Dalton, ”Heaven has treated her well, but I still feel guilty. Now I just want to hand the Group over to you.”

”Dad...” He was unwilling to take over.

”Say no more, I’m not discussing this with you today, just informing you.” David Dalton put down the empty glass, stood up, and glanced at him, ”I don’t expect Ethan to achieve much, just to grow up safely, with a healthy mind. He will not step into the company, not even a step.”

”...” Trevor was stunned.

He wanted to say something else, but seeing his father leave, it seemed he didn’t want to discuss it further.

Stopping at the door, David Dalton looked back, ”Get some rest early, don’t miss the eight o’clock board meeting at the company tomorrow.”

The night deepened...

Trevor’s mood gradually turned heavy. He didn’t want to take over the company because Dad was still young.

But he knew, this was Dad’s stance.
