Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 975: Chapter 603: Encountering an Old Acquaintance Again

”Hehehe—”

The altered-color Gengar glanced up at the Weavile jumping in the air, letting out a few triumphant screeches.

As a shadow Pokémon, one of its special abilities is that it can freely infiltrate shadows, and if there is a large shadow, it can quickly shuttle through it.

Weavile’s reaction and speed are indeed fast, and even a sneak attack couldn’t succeed.

But as the Trainer said earlier, what’s the difference between a Pokémon without flying ability and a sitting duck when it jumps so high?

”Mysterious Light!”

As Baimu gave the command, Gengar’s eyes lit up with twisted, chaotic light, which would make anyone dizzy and disoriented just from a glance.

Mann Chong, anxious, shouted, ”Close your eyes quickly! Blizzard!”

”No!”

In midair, Weavile rapidly shut its eyes, and a violent blizzard surged out from its mouth.

When the two chaotic-colored lightning bolts flew from Gengar, the massive blizzard created such a push that it narrowly dodged the light-formed Mysterious Light and fell into the distance.

Gengar in midair was dumbfounded as it dodged the blizzard.

What is this situation?

It can move in the air like this?!

The Trainer’s voice quickly interrupted its stunned state, ”Hide in the shadows! Don’t give it a chance!”

”Heh!”

Gengar hastily blended into the tree shadows.

Weavile landed next to Baimu, glanced at him, and quickly ran towards the tree shadows.

This guy is light enough and combined with the strong gale from the blizzard, it enabled such a rapid aerial maneuver like earlier.

This is what is meant by brick-throwing strength.

But what truly surprised him was Weavile’s efficiency in responding to Mann Chong’s command.

If it had just been captured recently, Weavile wouldn’t be able to spit out the blizzard so quickly. The rapport between Pokémon and Trainers is often reflected in the way where the Pokémon understands what move to use as soon as the Trainer opens their mouth.

With better skills, commands will synchronize with moves.

Judging by the performances in these exchanges, the synergy between Weavile and Mann Chong is actually higher than between him and Gengar, filled with a taste of being battle-hardened.

Arrogant personality, looks down on opponents, yet obediently follows the Trainer’s commands.

An interesting Pokémon.

Why wasn’t it sent out at the Silver Conference?

Baimu was quite curious about this, and his eyes fixed on Weavile, who was running to the large swath of tree shadows, thinking, ”I’ll ask after it’s over. If there are no more trump cards, it’s time to make a move.”

Meanwhile.

Mann Chong quickly gave another command, ”Blizzard!”

Weavile puffed its cheeks high and violently blew out a large amount of snowflakes, attempting to cover all the shadows concealed by the large tree.

”Shadow Punch, hit the nose.”

Baimu raised his right hand.

A pair of cunning eyes appeared from within the shadows, shooting out two jet-black shadows towards the sky, ignoring the incoming blizzard.

The slender shadows suddenly turned sharply in midair, arcing downwards like they had eyes, and slammed into Weavile’s nose!

Bang!

”No!”

Weavile let out a wretched cry, covering its nose with its claws as its eyes teared up, unable to blow out the blizzard anymore.

A Gengar with frost on its body emerged from the shadows, approaching the nose-holding Weavile with a malicious grin on its face.

”Hehehehe—”

Mann Chong’s eyes widened, ”Weavile, hold on! Quickly use Dark Assault on Vital Points!”

Hearing this, Weavile endured its sore and painful nose, while looking ahead and preparing to swing its right claw covered in blood-red light, but unfortunately, Gengar had already dashed to its front, fiercely head-butting Weavile’s forehead.

Snap!

A crisp sound.

”Hypnosis Techniques.”

Before it even felt the pain, Gengar’s eyes at close distance suddenly transformed into a dazzling kaleidoscope, stripping away its consciousness in an instant.

Weavile rolled its eyes and fell asleep without a word.

”Heh!”

Gengar let out a mischievous laugh, opened its mouth wide, swallowed Weavile in one gulp, and flew rapidly into the sky, completely denying Mann Chong the chance to recall Weavile.

Baimu continued to send the next command, ”Nightmare.”

High up in the sky.

Gengar’s eyes lit up with a pink glow, and its body suddenly turned semi-transparent, revealing the pained expression of Weavile inside.

It seemed trapped in some involuntary nightmare, with black aura endlessly arising from its body, tormenting its spirit.

”Weavile! Wake up!”

Mann Chong tightly gripped the Friendship Ball, shouting relentlessly, looking at Weavile with utmost concern but powerless.

Finally.

Gengar flew down from the sky, opened its mouth and spat out the battle-unable Weavile, clutching its round belly and letting out a satisfied villainous laugh.

”Hehehe—urk!!”

It even burped.

Clap clap clap.

Baimu clapped for it.

『Luring the opponent to attack for the sake of victory, taking the initiative to counter the move』—is a tactic he most frequently utilizes. From Aggron to Gengar, they have well mastered this strategy.

The reason is that he never takes moves mindlessly.

For Gengar, Weavile’s Dark Assault on Vital Points and Blizzard are two distinctly different moves. The latter can be risked with a high probability of winning, but daring the former has a high chance of crashing on the spot.

Mann Chong naturally understood this; however, the way Gengar merged into the shadows and Magic Brilliance forced him to resort to long-range, wide-range attacks.

With it came the ”stiffness” that allowed Gengar to cleverly attack the weak point, causing true stiffness.

Thus.

He stepped into the trap laid by Baimu step by step.

Actually breaking it isn’t difficult, just swap Pokémon earlier, but Gengar has a Black Gaze waiting for Weavile there.

So even though Weavile has the attribute advantage, without bringing out something special, its fate was already sealed from the beginning.
