Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Li Yu felt a bit of a headache listening to Ma Sailong, who seemed to never stop talking, enduring patiently for a few minutes, initially thinking it was over.

Ma Sailong swallowed and continued speaking enthusiastically:

”Moreover, using the method of dry cement sand construction with high sand carrying ratio + plugging material. During construction, increase the sand carrying ratio to the maximum to ensure more dry cement sand deposits and consolidates near the wellbore, forming a better artificial well wall nearby.

....”

Li Yu coughed and waved his hand asking:

”How long will the repair take? Is oil extraction suspended during the repair?”

Zuo Ruxue immediately responded:

”One week is enough for repairs, and all oil extraction operations need to be paused during the repair period. Also, after the repair, regular maintenance should continue every month.”

Ma Sailong nodded beside her and said: ”Yes, one week, no, not a week, give me five days and I can finish the repair.”

”Alright, then proceed with the repair. You seemed to be arguing just now, what were you arguing about?”

Zuo Ruxue began: ”I was thinking that Captain Ju and the team are coming soon to transport the oil, which will free up a lot of oil tanks. Also, our recent collaboration with Southern Paradise will definitely use a lot of oil.

So my opinion is to produce and stockpile more oil now. If we increase exchanges with Southern Paradise later, we will have the oil ready for exchange.

So you see, I think there’s no rush, we can wait until next month to repair.”

”What about you?” Li Yu looked at Ma Sailong.

Ma Sailong said: ”My suggestion is to immediately stop extraction and repair quickly. This issue has been exposed for a long time, it cannot be delayed anymore. I’m afraid it’ll be troublesome if we postpone it further.”

Li Yu pondered for a few seconds.

In half a month, a series of natural disasters, including heavy rain, would arrive. If the oil well is not repaired, it may cause greater losses when the time comes.

Oil City has already stockpiled a lot of oil, and he was not planning to increase collaboration with Southern Paradise right away.

For oil supply, the priority is Big Camphor Tree Base, followed by Oil City, and then store some. The remaining little extra will be used for exchange with Southern Paradise.

Thus he said:

”No need to discuss further, from now on pause extraction operations and immediately start repairing the wellbore.

Additionally, frequent heavy rain nowadays requires ensuring that the repair is robust enough that rain won’t cause significant damage to the oil well.

Make sure to repair the oil well to be adequately solid.

What I want is not temporary oil, but a well capable of stable oil production.

I hope you both understand this point.”

Li Yu decided with one sentence.

Neither had further objections, Zuo Ruxue was not wrong in her thinking, and Ma Sailong wasn’t either.

But they both didn’t know about the impending natural disaster in half a month and couldn’t think from Li Yu’s perspective, so their disagreement was natural.

Upon hearing Li Yu’s agreement to repair, Ma Sailong found the requirement a bit high.

He then said: ”If following your standards, additional construction at the wellhead will be needed, five days won’t be enough, possibly needing eight days.”

Li Yu nodded and replied: ”Okay, I’ll give you eight days, repair the oil well within eight days. Write down any materials you need.

If it’s not available in Oil City, I’ll mobilize headquarters’ resources to help you find them.”

Seeing Li Yu’s strong support, Ma Sailong was so excited his face turned somewhat red.

Having dealt with oil for years, his face often gets stained with black oil.

Now his face was both black and red.

Excitedly nodding, he said: ”I guarantee to complete the task.”

”Okay, then get busy now, start preparing to repair the oil well.” Li Yu looked at him and said.

Ma Sailong, in a good mood, full of energy, headed toward the oil well tool room.

Walking briskly, though over fifty, he now seemed not much different from a child.

After Ma Sailong left.

Li Yu glanced at Zuo Ruxue, smiled and asked:

”What’s up?”

Zuo Ruxue lowered her head and said: ”I was wrong, I shouldn’t have argued with Ma Sailong.”

Li Yu said with a smile: ”You didn’t really argue, I saw you were just having a normal communication, having different opinions is good.

But, Ma Sailong is an expert in this field, you’re here to learn, so listen and act more, speak less.”

”Alright.” Zuo Ruxue felt somewhat embarrassed and nodded.

According to Big Camphor Tree Base’s level, she is an Extra Staff, while Ma Sailong is a Cooperative Personnel.

Regarding joining Big Camphor Tree Base, she is currently the longest-serving Extra Staff member, quite senior.

Moreover, Xiao Jun trusts her, delegating many internal affairs for her to manage, so her thoughts are not only about the oil well but also consider other issues.
