Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Mine Is Huge! Empress, Please Endure It

A human and a mosquito carefully made their way through the dense Black Forest.

The deeper they ventured, the dimmer the light grew. Towering ancient trees blotted out the sun.

The air was thick with the stench of decay and danger. From time to time, the distant roars of Demon Beasts would echo, enough to make one’s scalp tingle.

Chu Sheng wasn’t idle, either. As he traveled, he was furiously expanding his army.

To deal with Chen Hao and those idiots earlier, his Insect Race cannon fodder legion had suffered heavy losses.

Now that the capacity of his [Insect Race Space] had been upgraded to a thousand, he naturally had to fill the vacancy—and even exceed the quota!

The Black Forest was teeming with all sorts of insects, and he took them all. Whether they were beetles and ants on the ground or moths and cicadas in the trees, as long as it was an insect, he’d snatch it up with a single thought.

Soon, his recently emptied space was once again buzzing with activity, its numbers having doubled from before!

“Droppings from a Third-Grade Demon Beast are starting to appear…”

Gu Yuexi’s gaze grew solemn as she stared at the enormous pile of dung on the grass. “We can’t keep barging ahead like this…”

She raised her hands, swiftly forming a strange Dharma Seal while muttering an incantation.

A ripple, almost invisible to the naked eye and shimmering like water, spread out from her, enveloping both her and Chu Sheng on her shoulder.

“Breath Concealing Technique…”

It was an incredibly profound auxiliary Secret Technique she had obtained by chance in her past life.

Although it possessed no Attack Power, it could suppress one’s aura and life force fluctuations to the absolute maximum.

Once cast, it was impossible to detect her unless a being of King-level or higher actively approached within a hundred meters to probe carefully.

This was the greatest trump card that allowed a mere First-Grade Martial Artist Middle Stage like her to dare venture deep into the treacherous Black Forest!

“Hm?”

Chu Sheng felt this strange power as well and looked up in surprise.

He found that he and Gu Yuexi had become like two lifeless stones, blending perfectly into the forest. He couldn’t help but hold this Empress in higher regard.

’As expected of the Empress, she really has a few tricks up her sleeve! I thought you were just going to brute-force your way through!’

He clicked his tongue in amazement, raising his focus to its absolute peak and cranking his [Blood Food Tracking Lv2] to maximum power!

Instantly, everything within a three-hundred-meter radius formed a three-dimensional “life map” in his mind!

A nest of sleeping hedgehogs here, a venomous snake coiled in a tree ready to ambush there, a flock of chirping birds over yonder… no creature with blood could escape his notice!

’Relying on just myself is a little slow, and the range is too small…’

With a thought, Chu Sheng divided the newly replenished ragtag army in his [Insect Race Space] into dozens of small squads and sent them fanning out in all directions.

’Squad one, go east. Squad two, go west. Squad three, take to the sky… All of you, scout properly. If you find any big blood bags, report to me immediately!’

However, Chu Sheng soon discovered that once his minions flew more than five hundred meters away, the Spiritual Link between them became as spotty as a bad Wi-Fi connection.

He could only receive extremely faint signals, making fine control impossible.

He gloomily glanced at his panel.

[Spirit: 10.2]

’My Mental Power is still too weak…’

Chu Sheng sighed to himself.

He had gone from a weakling with only 0.01 Qi Blood, evolved twice, and was now on the verge of becoming a First-Grade Demon Beast.

And yet his Mental Power had only risen from 0.01 to 10.2? ’These growth rates are totally unbalanced! The system is seriously biased!’

Still, being able to scout an extra five hundred meters was better than nothing.

He transmitted what he “saw” to Gu Yuexi through the simplest of impulses.

“Left… tree… snake…”

“Ahead… underground… rabbit…”

Although he couldn’t yet communicate fluently with Gu Yuexi, transmitting simple words and directions was no problem.

According to the rules of this world, only a Contracted Beast that had reached King-level or higher could establish a true telepathic link with its Beast Tamer.

Gu Yuexi didn’t pay it much mind at first. But after following Chu Sheng’s “prompts” several times and precisely avoiding lurking dangers or discovering hidden Demon Beasts…

…the expression on her face finally broke.

She stopped dead in her tracks, whipped her head around, and stared at Chu Sheng on her shoulder as if he were an alien.

“You… you have a reconnaissance ability, too?!”

She could feel that the range and precision of the information Chu Sheng was sending her far surpassed her own Perception!

’This guy… just how many more secrets is he hiding?!’

’Evolution, controlling swarms of insects, and now a reconnaissance ability comparable to radar… Can a mosquito really possess abilities like these?!’

Gu Yuexi felt like her brain was short-circuiting.

Seeing her shocked expression, Chu Sheng felt a little smug.

“BZZZ! (’Just a small matter, calm down. This is just a basic operation, no need to be impressed!’)”

Just then, the wolf blood in his stomach finished digesting.

[Ding! Blood digestion complete! Evolution Points +2.8! Current Total Evolution Points: 14.6!]

An intense wave of hunger instantly washed over him.

Chu Sheng glanced at his panel. His Total Qi Blood was 96.1, just a hair’s breadth away from the 100-point mark!

With just one more drink, he could gather enough Qi Blood for evolution!

And at the same time, he would officially enter the ranks of a First-Grade Demon Beast!

How could he possibly resist?!

Chu Sheng’s gaze unconsciously drifted to the neck of the “mobile blood bag” beside him.

Her fair, slender, swan-like neck looked especially alluring in the dim forest light…

’Sorry, Empress! For the sake of our shared future, I’ll have to inconvenience you a little!’

Without another word, Chu Sheng took aim at that patch of snow-white skin and viciously plunged his five-centimeter-long [Armor-Piercing Spike]—a weapon comparable to a small syringe—deep into it!

“Ngh…!”

Gu Yuexi’s body trembled violently. She let out a suppressed groan of pain, her entire body stiffening.

An unprecedented, sharp pain shot through her neck!

It didn’t feel like a mosquito bite at all. It felt more like someone had viciously stabbed her with a red-hot steel needle!

She turned her head and saw the ten-centimeter-long black monster perched on her collarbone, its thick, long proboscis buried nearly two-thirds of the way into her flesh!

“You…!”

Gu Yuexi’s eyes instantly reddened, and she nearly broke down on the spot.

’This is too much!’

’This guy is getting more and more audacious! He used to at least have the decency to bite fleshy parts like my thigh, but now he’s going straight for the neck?!’

’What does he take me for? A personal buffet?!’

Sensing the Empress’s towering rage and indignation, Chu Sheng continued to slurp away greedily while hastily transmitting a placating thought.

“Just… just bear with it… almost done…”

Gu Yuexi: “…”

’Bear with it my ass!’

’AHHHHHH! It hurts so much!!’
