Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: The Empress is Shocked: It Evolved Again in 2 Days?

Chu Sheng barely managed to get through the school day, feeling a constant, frenzied excitement.

He didn’t want to wait another second. He was desperate to begin his second evolution immediately!

Gu Yuexi noticed his restlessness, but she simply assumed the mosquito was hungry again or had grown stir-crazy in the classroom. Her cool, aloof face remained impassive as she snorted inwardly.

’What an insatiable little creature.’

Little did she know, this “insatiable little creature,” as she saw him, was on the verge of a world-altering metamorphosis!

…

「Back in the small, rundown rental room.」

As usual, Gu Yuexi tossed her schoolbag and the plastic box containing Chu Sheng onto the table. She was about to drag her “Cultivation Resources”—the corpse of the Spiritual Cyan Snake—out from under her bed.

’System! Now’s the time! Begin evolution!’

Seeing that his surroundings were safe, Chu Sheng issued the command in his mind without a moment’s hesitation!

[Ding! The host has met the conditions for the second evolution. Consuming 1 Evolution Point…]

[Second evolution, officially commencing!]

[Estimated time: Five hours!]

The moment the system notification faded, Chu Sheng’s vision went black once more. A familiar, tide-like wave of slumber washed over him, completely engulfing his consciousness.

In the plastic box, his body, originally only one and a half centimeters long, was enveloped by a thick cocoon that emitted a faint red glow.

Just as Gu Yuexi was about to retrieve the snake corpse, she suddenly felt the Spiritual Link between herself and the mosquito grow hazy and indistinct, as if she were looking through frosted glass.

“Hmm?”

She turned her head in confusion and looked at the plastic box on the table.

Sometime, without her noticing, the mosquito had transformed into a small, dark red cocoon. It was pulsing faintly, like a beating heart.

“This is… It’s evolving again?!”

Gu Yuexi’s pupils suddenly shrank, and a look of disbelief appeared on her face.

’It’s only been one day!’

’It just evolved yesterday, and now it’s starting its second evolution today?!’

’What kind of monster is this?!’

’Even the most legendary Alien Species with the most supreme Bloodline couldn’t possibly evolve this fast, could they? This completely overturns the understanding she had gained across two lifetimes!’

She stared fixedly at the tiny red cocoon, her emotions in absolute turmoil.

There was shock and confusion, but more than anything, there was something she herself hadn’t yet realized… anticipation.

’Maybe… this creature really isn’t just a burden?’

…

Time passed, second by second.

Five hours later, the sky had grown completely dark.

CRACK—

A faint cracking sound came from the plastic box.

Gu Yuexi was suddenly startled out of her Cultivation, her gaze instantly locking onto the red cocoon.

Fine cracks spread across the surface of the red cocoon. Then, a brand-new, powerful-looking segmented leg pushed its way out through one of the fissures!

Then a second, a third…

Finally, with a soft POP, the entire cocoon shattered, and a brand-new creature appeared before Gu Yuexi’s eyes!

“This…”

Even with the mental fortitude she’d built over two lifetimes, Gu Yuexi couldn’t help but gasp when she saw Chu Sheng’s new form. Her cool, beautiful face was a mask of pure shock.

’This… Is this still a mosquito?!’

Inside the plastic box, a “giant mosquito” fully ten centimeters long stretched its body. It was pitch-black, shimmering with the cold, hard luster of metal.

Its once merely broad wings now resembled a pair of sharp, black blades, their edges gleaming with a fearsome light!

Its six segmented legs had grown thicker and more powerful, now covered in fine barbs that made them look like six small, intricate scythes!

Meanwhile, Chu Sheng awoke from his slumber and immediately opened his status panel.

[Ding! Second evolution complete!]

[Congratulations, Host! Your Race has evolved from ’Primary Mutant Blood Mosquito’ to ’Blade-winged Blood Mosquito’!]

[Panel updating…]

[Host: Chu Sheng]

[Race: Blade-winged Blood Mosquito]

[Lifespan: 93 days]

[Qi Blood: 11.6]

[Evolution Points: 1.8]

[Equal Tier: Nothingness]

[Skills: Armor-Piercing Spike Lv3, Blood Food Tracking Lv1, Insect Race Space Lv2, Wing Blade Slash Lv1 (New)]

[Note: The next evolution requires reaching 100 Qi Blood Value and consuming 10 Evolution Points!]

’Fucking awesome!’

The moment he saw the panel clearly, Chu Sheng was so excited he almost sent the plastic box flying!

’Blade-winged Blood Mosquito! The name alone sounds way cooler than the old “Primary Mutant” one!’

’My Lifespan shot up to over ninety days! Almost three months! Now I don’t have to worry about dying young anymore!’

’And my body size has increased by almost ten times!’

’A ten-centimeter mosquito!’

’You scared yet?!’

’But the most important part is the Skills!’

Not only did he get a brand-new Attack Skill, [Wing Blade Slash], but his original [Female Mosquito’s Mouthpart] had also evolved, upgrading directly from Lv2 to the Lv3 [Armor-Piercing Spike]!

’Holy shit! So with every Race evolution, there’s a chance to randomly upgrade an existing skill?’

Chu Sheng realized it in an instant, and he was ecstatic.

’This is an incredible surprise!’

He quickly checked the detailed information for these two skills.

[Armor-Piercing Spike Lv3]: The host’s mouthpart has received an epic-level enhancement. Its strength and penetration are comparable to an Upper-Grade Weapon, and it can easily pierce the scaled armor Defense of most First-Grade Demon Beasts!

[Wing Blade Slash Lv1]: New Skill! The host can vibrate its wings at high speed to unleash a blade-shaped slash formed from the Wind Element, dealing cutting damage to the target! (Consumes a small amount of Qi Blood)

’Awesome! So fucking awesome!’

Chu Sheng flapped his wings in excitement. SWOOSH! He felt like his wings were actual blades, whistling as they sliced through the air.

With a thought, he tried to activate [Wing Blade Slash]!

VMMMM—!

A faint cyan, almost invisible Wind Blade instantly shot out from his wings!

CLANG!

The Wind Blade slammed into the inner wall of the plastic box, letting out a sharp clang as if metal had struck metal, and tore a gash right through it!

’Holy crap! This power!’

’Even Chu Sheng himself was startled. This was only Lv1! If he maxed it out, couldn’t he slice a mountain in half with a single flap of his wings?’

He looked down at his [Armor-Piercing Spike]—now as thick as a needle and glinting with a cold metallic light—and his heart surged.

’This thing… forget pigskin, it could probably punch a hole through a thin steel plate now!’

’Sweet! I’m invincible!’

Feeling the immense power surging through his body, Chu Sheng felt like the Rambo of the mosquito world. He felt like he could take on an entire army division by himself!

However, after the excitement passed, he also noticed the requirements for the next evolution.

Qi Blood, 10 Evolution Points!

’The requirements have increased tenfold!’

’Looks like I’ve got my work cut out for me!’

Chu Sheng reined in his excitement and refocused his gaze on the path to becoming stronger.
