Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Time for the 2nd Evolution

Sounds of amazement and envy instantly erupted from those around them.

Chen Hao’s vanity was immensely satisfied, and the smile on his face grew even brighter.

He looked toward Gu Yuexi again, his gaze even falling upon the unremarkable plastic box on her desk. The corner of his mouth curled into a barely perceptible sneer.

’See that? Now *that’s* a Contracted Beast! What can that mosquito of yours do besides suck blood?’

’It probably isn’t even fit to scratch an itch for my Wind Blade Wolf!’

However, he was completely oblivious to the “plot” against him that was about to unfold.

’Now’s the time!’

’Operation, commence!’

Inside the plastic box, Chu Sheng gave the order!

BZZZZZZ—!

In an instant, dozens of flies and moths materialized out of thin air. Like a squadron of out-of-control bombers, they dive-bombed Chen Hao, who was basking in the praise, and the students surrounding him!

“Holy shit! Where did all these flies come from?!”

“What’s going on? Doesn’t the school ever clean this place?!”

“AAAAAH! BUGS! AAAAAH… zzz.”

“Huh? How did she suddenly fall asleep?”

“She must have fainted from the shock!”

“…”

Chen Hao and the students around him were instantly stunned by the sudden “airstrike,” flailing their arms frantically to drive away the annoying pests.

And this was just the beginning!

SKITTER SKITTER—!

Immediately after, hundreds of cockroaches and other foul insects swarmed out from every corner of the classroom like a tide, scurrying rapidly onto desks and up students’ pant legs!

“AHHH—! Cockroaches!!”

“Help! A cockroach is crawling on me!”

Piercing screams erupted throughout the classroom, especially from the girls, and the entire room descended into utter chaos!

Everyone was terrified by the sudden plague of insects. Who had time to pay any attention to the Wind Blade Wolf?

Even the Wind Blade Wolf itself grew agitated by the commotion, growling continuously and swatting its paws at the insects that dared to provoke it.

’Excellent!’

Chu Sheng seized the golden opportunity. With a single thought, he opened a tiny crack in the plastic box, and his body shot out with a WHOOSH!

Moving at a speed far beyond that of an ordinary mosquito, he streaked through the chaotic air like a nearly invisible black line, landing with perfect precision on the Wind Blade Wolf’s back.

The Wind Blade Wolf’s fur was indeed thick, like a layer of cyan armor.

But Chu Sheng was no fool. He didn’t use brute force. Instead, he used his minuscule size to weave quickly through the wolf’s fur like a seasoned hunter, searching for his prey’s weak point.

Soon, on the back of the Wind Blade Wolf’s neck, he found a spot where the fur was relatively sparse and the skin was softer!

’Hehe, little wolf pup, your Grandpa Mosquito is here!’

Without a moment’s hesitation, Chu Sheng aimed his Level 2 proboscis at the weak spot and plunged it in!

SHLICK!

The faint sound of a sharp blade piercing flesh was heard!

While a Level 2 proboscis wasn’t strong enough to ignore the Wind Blade Wolf’s Defense, it was more than sufficient for attacking a weak point like this!

“AWOO?!”

The Wind Blade Wolf’s body trembled violently as it felt a sharp sting on the back of its neck.

But before it could react, a stream of pure, scalding blood brimming with vitality was already surging madly through the proboscis and into Chu Sheng’s body!

[Qi Blood +1.1]

[Qi Blood +1.3]

[Warning! The energy of the siphoned blood is immense. Please be mindful of your body’s tolerance limit!]

[Ding! Host has absorbed 5.5 Qi Blood! Current Total Qi Blood is 11.6!]

[Alert! Host has met the conditions for the second evolution. Do you wish to begin evolving?]

’Holy shit! One bite was all it took?!’

Even Chu Sheng himself was shocked!

’That’s not right. How can one bite from this Intermediate Bloodline Demon Beast give more than what I got from the High-Level Bloodline Spiritual Cyan Snake?’

But Chu Sheng quickly figured it out.

’That makes sense! The Spiritual Cyan Snake had a High-Level Bloodline, but it was already dead. A great deal of its Essence Blood had been lost, and its vitality was much lower!’

’Plus, it was only a hatchling with the strength of the First-Grade Early Stage!’

’This Wind Blade Wolf is at the First-Grade Late Stage, and it’s alive and kicking. Naturally, the effect of drinking its blood would be completely different!’

Having figured this out, he felt his stomach instantly stretch to its limit. Not daring to take another sip, he hastily retracted his proboscis.

While the chaos had yet to die down, he beat his wings and flew silently back into the plastic box on Gu Yuexi’s desk.

The entire process was as smooth as flowing water, taking no more than ten seconds!

At that moment, Gu Yuexi was frowning as she swatted a cockroach on her desk with a book, her cool, aloof face filled with disgust.

Although she also found the sudden insect infestation strange, it never once occurred to her to connect it with her “useless” Contracted Beast.

In her mind, there was no way a single mosquito could have caused such a massive commotion.

The chaos in the classroom was finally brought under control with the teacher’s intervention.

As for the insects, they had appeared as quickly as they vanished.

After Chu Sheng finished his “meal,” he recalled all his minions to the [Insect Race Space] with a single thought, leaving behind only a scene of disarray and the students’ shell-shocked faces.

Most of them didn’t notice the insects had vanished into thin air; they just assumed they had all flown away.

The few who did notice just thought their eyes were playing tricks on them…

The school took the matter very seriously, assuming it was a sanitation issue. That very afternoon, they sent people to conduct a campus-wide cleaning and fumigation.

Of course, that was all a story for later.

Right now, Chu Sheng was lying in the plastic box, excitedly looking at his status panel.

[Qi Blood: 11.6]

[Evolution Points: 1.0]

’I’ve met the conditions for the second evolution!’

Chu Sheng suppressed the urge to evolve immediately.

’I’m still in the classroom. It’s too conspicuous and not safe.’

’I’d better wait until I get home tonight!’

He was filled with anticipation for his second evolution.

The first evolution had turned him from an ordinary mosquito into a “Primary Mutant Blood Mosquito,” drastically improving both his size and his proboscis.

’So, what kind of surprises will the second evolution bring?’

’Could it allow me to break through the limits of my species and become a true “Demon Beast”?’

[Negative. 10 Qi Blood is merely the level of a common small animal. 100 Qi Blood is required to reach the threshold of a First-Grade Early Stage Demon Beast. The host is getting ahead of himself…] the system replied, throwing a bucket of cold water on his hopes.

Chu Sheng: “…”

’Are you serious, man?’

’I’ve been working my ass off sucking blood for this long, raising my Qi Blood from 0.01 to 11.6!’

’And I’m still just the equivalent of a common small animal?!’

’Isn’t leveling up way too slow?!’

[…]

[This is your second day since you transmigrated.]

Chu Sheng: “…”

’Oh. Well, never mind then!’

’As I evolve more, my rate of getting stronger will definitely speed up.’

’As long as I can maintain this pace… becoming a First-Grade Demon Beast should only take a few days, right?’

The corners of Chu Sheng’s mouth curled up slightly. ’Still, I shouldn’t get ahead of myself. One step at a time!’
