Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Skills Can Be Upgraded?

The system notifications spammed his mind like crazy, even issuing a warning.

But Chu Sheng was already seeing red!

’To hell with my limit!’

’Fortune favors the bold!’

’This is the Essence Blood of a High-Level Bloodline Demon Beast! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!’

Not only did he not stop, he started sucking even harder!

SLURP SLURP SLURP!!

He could feel his abdomen swelling at a visible rate, soon becoming even larger than when he had drunk Gu Yuexi’s blood!

Its color also changed from bright red to a deep, dark crimson, like a small bomb that could explode at any moment.

He only stopped reluctantly when he felt like his body was genuinely about to burst, a sharp, tearing pain spreading across his skin.

“Burp~”

Chu Sheng let out a satisfied burp, unsteadily retracted his mouthpart, and dragged his body, now so heavy he could barely fly, back onto the table, pretending like nothing had happened.

And the system’s final calculation made him ecstatic!

[Ding! The host has absorbed 4.2 Qi Blood! Current Total Qi Blood is 6.1!]

[Due to absorbing the blood of a High-Level Bloodline Demon Beast cub, you are projected to gain 2.1 Evolution Points and a two-day Lifespan after this blood is digested!]

’I’ve struck it rich!’

’This was a massive score!’

Chu Sheng was so excited he almost couldn’t stop himself from laughing out loud.

Just that one drink had directly earned him 4.2 Qi Blood! And a two-day Lifespan!

That was more than all his previous laborious feedings on Gu Yuexi combined!

His Total Qi Blood had now reached 6.1. He was more than halfway to the 10 points of Qi Blood needed for his second evolution!

And on top of that, he would get 2.1 Evolution Points after digestion!

His second evolution only required 1 Evolution Point. With this, not only did he have enough, he had plenty to spare!

’So satisfying!’

Chu Sheng lay on the table, feeling the surging power in his belly, his heart blooming with joy.

He could even feel every cell in his body undergoing subtle, wondrous changes, nourished by this Energy, his physical strength increasing bit by bit.

’This Spiritual Cyan Snake’s blood is way too potent! It’s got much more kick than the Empress’s blood!’ Chu Sheng felt incredibly comfortable.

’If I could drink something this good every day, forget evolving into a Divine Mosquito—evolving into a Primordial Holy Mosquito wouldn’t be just a dream!’

As he savored the “fragrance” of the snake blood, he snuck a peek at Gu Yuexi, who was still cultivating with her eyes closed.

Her brows were tightly furrowed, and her forehead was beaded with sweat. Clearly, the process of refining the snake blood wasn’t easy.

’Tsk tsk, you’re working so hard, my dear blood bag… no, my dear Empress!’ Chu Sheng silently cheered her on.

’You’re responsible for cultivating and getting stronger, and I’m responsible for helping you share the “food.” We’re a match made in heaven!’

Just as he was feeling smug, the system’s notification chimed in his mind again. This time, however, the content made him pause.

[Ding! Detected that the host is about to receive a large number of Evolution Points. Unlocking a new function for Evolution Points!]

[In addition to being used for your own Race’s evolution, your Evolution Points can now be used to upgrade existing Skills!]

[Upgradable Skills are as follows:]

[Female Mosquito’s Mouthpart Lv2: Can consume 5 Evolution Points to upgrade to “Armor-Piercing Spike Lv3”! After upgrading, the mouthpart’s strength and penetration power will receive an epic boost, allowing it to easily pierce the Defense of most First-Grade Demon Beasts!]

[Blood Food Tracking Lv1: Can consume 2 Evolution Points to upgrade to Lv2! After upgrading, the Perception range will expand from a one-hundred-meter radius to a three-hundred-meter radius!]

[Insect Race Space Lv1: Can consume 2 Evolution Points to upgrade to Lv2! After upgrading, the number of insects that can be accommodated will increase from 100 to 500! Furthermore, the host’s mental load will be significantly reduced, making it much easier to control the swarm!]

’Holy crap? You can do that?’

Chu Sheng was stunned, his mosquito face a mask of pleasant surprise.

’So Evolution Points aren’t just an “admission ticket” for evolution, they’re also an “EXP book” for upgrading Skills!’

He quickly read through the upgrade options again, the gears in his mind turning furiously.

’Once I finish digesting this bellyful of snake blood, I’ll get 2.1 Evolution Points. Add that to the 0.9 I saved up from drinking the Empress’s blood, and I’ll have 3 Evolution Points!’

’And the second evolution only needs 1 Evolution Point…’

’Which means I can definitely upgrade a Skill with the extra points while still ensuring my own evolution!’

A glint of wisdom shone in Chu Sheng’s tiny, beady black eyes.

The question was, which of these three Skills should he upgrade first?

He began to analyze them one by one.

’First, this Armor-Piercing Spike… the name alone sounds insanely powerful! “Epic boost,” “easily pierce the Defense of a First-Grade Demon Beast”—this is practically a Divine Technique tailor-made for fighting and stealing blood!’

Chu Sheng was so excited his wings trembled.

’With this thing, I could even break through the defenses of an adult First-Grade Demon Beast!’

But…

’It needs 5 Evolution Points… that’s too expensive! My entire net worth is only 3 points right now. I can’t afford it at all!’ Chu Sheng was suddenly a little dejected.

It seemed he could forget about the most awesome option for now.

That left the other two.

’Blood Food Tracking… the range expands to three hundred meters after the upgrade. That sounds pretty good too.’

Chu Sheng rubbed his non-existent chin. ’A larger range would definitely make it easier to find food. Maybe I could even discover some hidden high-level blood bags!’

’But… I have the Empress as a stable blood source right now, plus a whole snake corpse for a late-night snack. It doesn’t seem like I’m short on food… The need to upgrade this Skill isn’t that urgent.’

Having analyzed up to this point, Chu Sheng’s gaze finally landed on the third option.

’Insect Race Space…’

He remembered the dizzying predicament he’d been in when he tamed those five mosquito underlings.

The system said the Space could hold 100 insects, but with the Mental Power his tiny body currently possessed, he’d probably pass out on the spot after taming just eight or ten.

’After the upgrade, the capacity increases to 500, and the key is “mental load will be significantly reduced”!’ Chu Sheng’s eyes lit up.

’That’s the most important part!’

For him, the power of a single mosquito was ultimately limited.

But what about a swarm of mosquitoes?

An army of hundreds or thousands of mosquitoes, even if they weren’t strong fighters, their overwhelming presence alone would be enough to disgust someone to death!

Whether for scouting, harassment, or providing cover, they would absolutely be a great asset!

’That’s it! I’ll upgrade this one!’

Chu Sheng made his decision in an instant.

’Laying low and leveling up… ganging up on enemies is the way to go!’

’First, I’ll build up my team of underlings. In the future, when I go out to steal blood, I’ll have more cannon fodder and helpers!’

’Hehe, once I finish digesting, it’s time for a major upgrade!’

Chu Sheng was delighted, already beginning to fantasize about leading a grand army of five hundred mosquitoes, marching mightily towards the school cafeteria… no, towards the Demon Beast blood bags at school.
