Rebirth in Famine: She Thrives by Lucky Space

Chapter 553: 553 agree

Jiang Xinyu nodded, ”Yeah, my brother-in-law is really quite capable.”

”You silly girl, you know what I mean.

Hurry up and find someone you think is good-looking to marry. Being alone is too hard.”

Jiang Xinyu just smiled. She’s used to being on her own, and even if Wei Kaiyun isn’t around, she can handle everything herself.

Wang Ailing and her family of four also arrived. The last to arrive were Yao Shimin and Qiao Jingyi.

All the innards were chopped and served on the table, along with a small dish of sweet and sour cabbage hearts.

Because there were three men, Jiang Xinyu asked if they wanted to drink alcohol. They all shook their heads.

Everyone knows that Jiang Xinyu is still being monitored here, so staying too late is not good, so they all just ate.

A big tray of rice and all the meat were finished, leaving nothing behind.

The children were the happiest, because being able to eat rice and meat is the most satisfying thing.

She Xiaoyun and Wang Ailing helped clean up the table, Wang Tongzhou lit the fire, and Jiang Xinyu cooked today’s innards as well.

After seeing them off, she went straight to take a bath. Then she started tidying up the house. Once the pig’s head meat softened, she stored it away. The other innards were kept in the pot and covered.

No dreams through the night. The next day she still went to the supply and marketing cooperative. Today, it’s five pounds of eggs and ten pounds of meat. Thinking about making sausages today, this time making preserved sausages. No need to steam them, just let them air dry.

At noon, she brought ten pieces of sausage to Qian Jun. No matter what, she still knows his kind intentions.

Qian Jun looked at the sausage and laughed. He knew Jiang Xinyu had really let go, which was good. Actually, this matter to her was really nothing at all.

”Thank you, Vice Factory Director Jiang. In the future, remember me when you have something delicious.”

”Certainly, didn’t I bring you something tasty today?”

Today is already the third day, four more days and no one will be monitoring her anymore. Actually, she thought about checking out the scrap yard in the county, but with someone monitoring her, she didn’t dare go.

Before getting off work in the afternoon, she received a call from She Xiaoyun.

”No pig innards today. I’ll call you when we have some.”

”Okay.”

With that, she went straight home. She took out twenty pounds of pork, chopped it into small cubes, added orange peel, ice sugar melted in white wine, soy sauce, and oyster sauce.

These were stuffed into the sausages. They were hung directly in the outhouse. When it was time to leave, she’d pack them and go.

Actually, it’s best to hang them in the yard, but Jiang Xinyu wasn’t comfortable with that. It’s safer indoors.

These four days passed in a flash. She accumulated 20 pounds of eggs, all stored away. Saved for later, to eat slowly.

This morning, she didn’t notice anyone monitoring her. However, she still took advantage of the time after the morning meeting to make a trip to the committee.

”Director Wu, has my issue been resolved?”

”Yes, we apologize for any inconvenience caused to Vice Factory Director Jiang during this period.”

Jiang Xinyu hurriedly smiled, ”It’s okay, it’s your job, I understand.”

Now she really felt at ease, happily riding her bike back to the textile factory.

The day after tomorrow is New Year’s Day, the factory is having a party, but she doesn’t plan to attend. Today, she’ll ask Qian Jun to agree to her resignation.

After returning to the factory, she didn’t go back to her office; instead, she went directly to find Qian Jun.

”What? Did you confirm it with the committee?”

”Yeah, no problem now, hurry up and sign my resignation letter.”

”In such a rush?”

”Why wouldn’t I be? It’s only a month and a half until the new year. I want to spend it with the kids.”

”But they haven’t sent anyone else yet? Besides, how about handing over your job responsibilities properly?”

”Can’t I just hand it over to you?” Jiang Xinyu felt a bit disheartened; this really wasn’t something she was rushing.

”Then please call Director Zhu and ask him. I’m really in a hurry.”

Qian Jun had no way to stop her.

After Zhu Peishan answered the phone, he sighed, ”Alright, if Jiang Xinyu is really in such a hurry, Qian Jun, you take over first. It would be best to wait a week, the newly appointed deputy factory director is leaving tomorrow.”

”Director Zhu, please make sure the new deputy factory director isn’t a woman. Send a man instead.”

”It is a man, a university graduate. I’ll notify him to leave tomorrow.”

After hanging up the phone, Zhu Peishan sighed, Jiang Xinyu resigned because of her kids, and as a woman, she was afraid. But what was Wei Kaiyun really about?

Really can’t understand them; not everyone can become a factory director. Really don’t know how to cherish opportunities.

Jiang Xinyu was very happy hearing Zhu Peishan’s words.

”Vice Factory Director Jiang, I think you should wait until the new deputy factory director arrives and hand over your work properly before leaving.

Otherwise, my workload will be too heavy.”

Jiang Xinyu thought about it; at most, it was ten days before she could leave. Besides, she could take the opportunity to get together with friends during this time.

So she nodded, ”Alright, then I’ll wait until I’ve handed over my work before leaving.”

Now Qian Jun was relieved. He was really afraid Jiang Xinyu would just up and leave. Then he wouldn’t have even a moment of leisure.

”I was planning on taking a holiday, but now, with you resigning, when can I take a break?”

”Very soon! Once the new deputy factory director arrives, you’ll have time.”

”You say it so easily, but we still have to spend time getting used to the work with the newcomer.” Qian Jun glared at Jiang Xinyu, truly irresponsible.

After lunch, Jiang Xinyu dialed Old Yang’s number.

”I’ve resigned here, but I’m still waiting for the newbie to arrive and hand over my work before I can go over. I think I can take the train in ten days.”

Old Yang laughed on the other end, ”Great, looking forward to you coming over. Call me once you’ve confirmed the time.”

After calling Old Yang, Jiang Xinyu then dialed Wei Kaiyun’s number.

”Hello, Wei Kaiyun.”

”It’s me. Things are settled here. The deputy factory director sent by the Management Bureau will depart tomorrow.

I can leave in ten days.”

”Okay, I haven’t received feedback here yet. I’ll go to the Management Bureau this afternoon.”

After hanging up, Jiang Xinyu felt her heart beating exceptionally fast. Finally, she can see the kids soon. Have they grown taller? How are they doing now?

In the evening, she made a trip to the supply and marketing cooperative. ”Sister She, I’ve resigned, and it’s been approved.”

”I won’t say much; you’ve already made your choices. When you go outside, take care.”

”Okay, don’t worry about me. I can live well wherever I am.”

”You, just like this, giving up, don’t you feel you’ve lost something? You have a chance to become the factory director.”
