Rebirth in Famine: She Thrives by Lucky Space

Chapter 444: 444 Divorce

The two unmarried individuals who had already confirmed their relationship lay together, and naturally, some actions took place.

However, Yao Shimin remembered that no marriage certificate had been handled and no banquet had been held, so he held back.

In the afternoon, Hao Shichao and his son personally came over, took the measurements, and then went to the furniture factory together.

Upon arriving, Qiao Jingyi was simply head over heels, liking everything she saw.

They finally selected furniture for two rooms and also tables, chairs, and benches.

Yao Shimin paid two hundred and sixty yuan, took the receipt, and received Hao Shichao’s promise of delivery.

The two rode bikes back home and tidied up the place. After everything was arranged, they snuggled up together again.

”Jingyi, let’s get our marriage certificate on Monday.”

”I don’t have the introduction letter yet.”

”We’ll get it on Monday. It’s easy for me. I’ll accompany you to the city, get the introduction letter, and handle the marriage certificate.”

”Isn’t there no rush? We can wait until everything’s settled down.”

”I’m in a hurry, extremely in a hurry.”

Yao Shimin hugged Qiao Jingyi, breathing heavily. Even though she was still a young girl, she understood his words now.

Seeing his future bride’s flushed face, Yao Shimin knew she understood.

”I really can’t hold back anymore. Once we get the certificate, we can live together.”

”That’s not possible, it’s still a few months away.”

”I can’t wait.”

”Then you’ll have to hold back.”

”I can’t hold back.” Yao Shimin’s actions went a bit overboard, and Qiao Jingyi tried to stop him, but she was no match for Yao Shimin; the strength difference was too big.

”This can’t be done.”

”It can be done. If not, let’s get married earlier. National Day would be great. Don’t refuse me.”

”Really, it can’t be done.”

Yao Shimin couldn’t hear Qiao Jingyi anymore; his eyes turned red, and gradually, their clothes were thrown off piece by piece.

Qiao Jingyi was completely passive, now having no energy to resist at all.

When they came together, the girl scratched Yao Shimin’s back.

”Relax, dear, relax, it’ll be over soon.”

Afterward, Yao Shimin held the still-breathing Qiao Jingyi, a satisfied smile on his face. Being with the one you love is truly joyful.

”Dear, you rest for a while. I’ll go to the factory, call my parents, and set our wedding date for National Day.”

”You’re so shameless, aren’t you? I said it couldn’t be done.”

”That’s because you’re so attractive. Come on, rest for a bit, I’ll be back soon.”

Yao Shimin hurried to get up, otherwise, he would be immobilized soon. He forced himself not to look at her, quickly dressed, and thought the letter could be obtained tomorrow, but at night his wife needed to eat. Seizing this opportunity, he took the letter, and tomorrow they could go to the city to get the certificate.

He locked the door and rode to the factory. Upon reaching the office, he called Qian Jun, ”Mr. Qian, could you prepare the letter for me? I’m going to the city for the marriage certificate tomorrow.”

”So urgent?”

”Yes, extremely urgent.”

”Alright, come and pick it up in five minutes.”

Yao Shimin hung up the phone and called his parents. While calling, he headed to Qian Jun’s office.

”Here, I’ve signed and stamped it.”

”Thanks a lot.”

”When’s the wedding date set?”

”Originally on the sixteenth of the twelfth month, but I can’t wait any longer. I’m thinking National Day.”

”So urgent?”

”Yes, we can talk later. I’ll go call my parents.”

After saying that, Yao Shimin hurriedly returned to his office.

The one answering the phone was still his mother, ”Mom, tomorrow Jingyi and I are getting the certificate, let’s set the wedding date for National Day.”

”That’s too rushed.”

”It’s okay, there’s still half a month. The furniture is already settled. I’ll urge the furniture factory tomorrow; it should be ready before the wedding. Everything else is fine.”

”Shimin, you?”

”Mom, you and Dad should take time off to prepare.”

”Alright, I know. Don’t make Jingyi feel wronged.”

”I understand. Alright, she’s still at home; I’m heading back now.” After saying that, he hung up the phone and went directly to the cafeteria.

The evening’s meal was leftover steamed buns from lunch; he bought six. The cafeteria manager fried some egg sauce for Yao Shimin and gave him two cucumbers. There wasn’t anything else.

He then rode to the restaurant, where Ding Shihong gave him a pig trotter and a piece of pork head meat.

”Director Ding, I’ll return the lunchbox when I get the chance.”

”No rush.”

Yao Shimin hurried home and saw his wife squatting in the yard, washing the sheets.

”Dear, let me do it. You should rest.”

”I don’t need you.”

”Let me do it. I’ve brought some good food for you. You eat first while I finish washing.”

Yao Shimin knew what Qiao Jingyi was washing, but the bloodstains couldn’t be cleaned properly.

He pulled Qiao Jingyi up, noticing she was walking with difficulty and understood she was hurt since it was her first time.

He quickly sat her down, ”This meat is from the restaurant, and here’s the egg sauce. You eat first; I’ll pour you some hot water.”

”Let’s eat together.”

”You eat first; I’ll hang the sheets to dry, but that stain won’t wash out.”

Qiao Jingyi blushed, lowered her head, and said nothing.

Fearing his wife would be hungry, Yao Shimin quickly dried the sheets and returned to sit and eat with his wife.

”Jingyi, the introduction letter is ready. Tomorrow we’ll go and get yours from school; we must handle the certificate first.”

This time, Qiao Jingyi didn’t refuse, as things were what they were, and he was willing to get the certificate, which was best.

”By the way, I’ve called my mom. When we go home, I’ll tell your parents the wedding day should be set for National Day.”

”You go ahead and tell them.”

”Alright, I’ll definitely do the talking. Don’t worry, I won’t let you get scolded.”

Qiao Jingyi gave Yao Shimin a side eye, ”You’re just thinking about that; otherwise, we wouldn’t need to rush.”

”I was wrong.” He quickly admitted his mistake and gave her the pig’s foot.

”It tastes pretty good.”

”It’s from the restaurant; eat more.”

After dinner, Yao Shimin went to boil water, but there was no bath basin at home, so they had to manage without it. Tomorrow he must find Secretary Hao to ensure the furniture is ready by National Day.

After washing up, Yao Shimin pulled Qiao Jingyi onto the bed.

”Don’t touch me; I’m still in pain.”

”Okay, I won’t touch you, just cuddle you to sleep.”

But within two minutes after saying this, his hand moved into her clothing.

Now that a man who had abstained for so long tasted the feeling, how could he obey and stay still?

All night, Qiao Jingyi felt like she hadn’t slept. She clung to Yao Shimin, floating and sinking.

So when they woke up the next day, it was already nine in the morning.

In a rush, Yao Shimin helped his wife wash up, ”Dear, I’ll go get the car, so it’s faster; otherwise, I’m afraid we won’t make it. You wait at home; I’ll be right back.”
