Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 250: Chapter 250 Inexpressible Deep Love [7]

Daisy Grant felt a bitterness in her heart as she gently placed the rose into the servant’s hands, leaving a word behind, ”Hold it carefully, don’t break my flower.” Then she dashed away.

”Hmm...hey, miss, where are you going?”

Daisy, ignoring the servant’s question, ran desperately to chase after him.

After chasing for a while, she finally saw his lonely back, just like the first time she saw him.

Panting heavily, she caught up with him, calling out in a hoarse voice at his back, ”Second brother!”

Dawn Sutherland stopped in his tracks but didn’t turn around.

”Second brother.” She ran to his front, ”Walking like this, when do you think you’ll make it back?”

Dawn said nothing, his starry eyes slightly lowered, leaving Daisy puzzled about his emotions.

”Second brother, second brother!” Seeing him seemingly in a daze, Daisy waved her hand in front of his eyes.

Daisy saw him pressing his lips together, then with a faint expression, his voice just as faint, he said, ”Since you’re awake, I’ll go drive the car back, and you should head back to rest early too!” After speaking, he turned around and walked away without looking at her.

Watching him withdraw suddenly, with indifferent words, Daisy smiled bitterly.

His departing silhouette still lingered in front of her eyes, like a fog, a haze that wouldn’t disperse. Gradually, that silhouette drifted out of her sight...

She walked back, lost in soul, the glaring headlights made her squint her eyes shut, instinctively using her hand to shield them, the car sped past her, without a moment’s pause.

She knew it was his car, unsure if it was the light that stung her eyes, or something else, but she found herself shedding tears.

She liked Dawn Sutherland, but it was a secret that couldn’t be told.

Meeting him warmed her life; if there were feelings, a moment would last forever. But sadly, the falling flower had intentions, and the flowing brook was heartless.

She was to be his future sister-in-law, a pawn in the interests of the Grant and Sutherland families. More importantly, Dawn didn’t love her, he once loved another girl, although he told her in the car that it ended ’with no consequence’, she could see from his expression back then how lonely, sad, and full of reluctant bitterness he was. From his look, Daisy could tell, he loved that girl in the unfulfilled love story deeply.

The girl second brother loved—unfortunately, wasn’t Daisy Grant.

In the dead of night, Daisy Grant wept as she stood there.

Returning to reality, Daisy wiped the tears off her face, slowly stood up, trembling slightly as she walked to her desk in the room.

On the desk sat a vase with deep red roses that had long since withered and wilted.

It was what he gave her a few days ago when welcoming her at the airport upon her return to the country.

Daisy reached out, lightly caressing the petals, murmuring in a hoarse voice, ”Second brother—second brother—do you know that I like you? From the first time I saw you as a child, I found myself unable to see past anyone else’s shadow. Second brother, sadly, you’ve never liked me...”

At the Royal View City villa.

Arlo Seys, unable to sleep due to insomnia, stood on the balcony feeling the breeze.

Outside the door, the sound of a cane lightly tapping the floor was heard. He paused, remembering Ariel Morris’s current difficulty in walking, and immediately went to open his room door.

Ariel, walking past his door, was startled by the sudden opening of it.

”Arlo Seys, why aren’t you sleeping so late, what are you doing?” She was frightened, doors suddenly opening in the deep of night.

Arlo looked at her and pressed his lips together, ”What are you doing?” His gaze fell to the cane she was holding.

Ariel stammered, ”I just wanted to get a glass of water, after that hot pot dinner tonight, I’m thirsty.”

Arlo glanced at her, turned back into the room, and a faint voice sounded, ”I have water in my room.”
